ISMI has identified improving their overall equipment effectiveness rate as a primary goal to better meet the increasing performance demands outlined by the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors. They believe equipment providers are inadequately addressing or not addressing improvement at all. Leveraging theories from behavioral science and models being examined at leading universities, one approach is to link knowledge with assets, apply measurable adjustments to improve performance over time. A proposed training system solution would integrate key tools and processes into a social contribution effort, applying the reusable ADL standard to maximize knowledge redistribution for on-demand opportunities.
