6. Info-graphic:
This was the final product of my info-graphic. I chose the theme of Game
Designer because I found it the most interesting out of the few jobs I had a
look at. And with the background of growing up with games I new i had a lot
more ideas of what I wanted on my final product.
If I could change something to do with my Info-graphic, I would change the
background colour from Green to something a bit nicer to look at or even a
gender neutral colour.
I Would also add more facts and figures so that people have a little more to
read about Game Design. All of the mini characters were edited by myself,
for example (Link – inner glow) to make the figures a little bit more
Animated.
7. Research:
To get my Information of Game design and all of the experiences and requirements there was involved, I went on to
Google on to a couple of websites where I had charts and facts about how to get in to the industry and what is
involved. All of these pictures and statistics where listed in my bibliography.
I created a Bibliography as well as added the website links on previous slides so that I had a reference to justify what I had
said about the Job and to also go back at a later date if I need to add more.
After I found a website that told me what I wanted to know I wrote down the information in my own words so that I
didn’t violate any copyright laws and/or Plagiarism.
I then got the most important details and added them on to my Info-Graphic so that the facts are backed up by various
websites and charts.
8. Market research:
A.G Barr is a company that creates soft drinks such as Irn-Bru, cherry-soda and lemonade which are well known by the
general public. The most well know drink made by Barr is Irn-Bru, a Scottish soft drink that was first released in general
stores in 1901.
Throughout the years up until now, A.G.Barr have been releasing adverts selling their product Irn-Bru. However, they have
competition with coca cola, Pepsi, Fanta and other well know, properly advertised companies that steal the limelight. One
of the reasons why some people avoid Irn-Bru, in my opinion, is because of some of Barr’s Inappropriate adverts such as
the sad goth, that has a lot of controversial thoughts between the general public as to weather its classed as bullying.
The competition between coca cola was so strong that in response to a coca cola “share a coke” campaign, Barr had
decided to double up on coke and produce thousands of limited edition 750ml bottles of Irn-Bru with some Scottish
names on the cover, mimicking the one of coca cola.
To reach out to a global audience, Barr shipped its products overseas to new countries and has now set up factories and
shipping markets for Irn-Bru around the world in countries such as Russia, Australia, Canada and many more.
The marketing war still goes on between coca cola and Irn-Bru.
9. Audience research:
A class survey was created my audience survey. The survey had multiple questions such as how old the target audience
was, what their favourite drink was and how they had found out about the drink in the first place.
The questions then went on to ask about how people felt towards the advertising campaigns of the product created by
Barr, more commonly known as Irn-Bru. The data I collected was then put in to a edexcel spreadsheet where I converted
the results into a Pie chart or Bar Graph to make it easier to see what the majority of the answers were for each question
and to make it a lot easier to read.
15 people took part in this survey, which was enough evidence for me to properly analyse the results and put them in to
clear, more appropriate representation of myself.

This is a survey conducted for students in our class. They had to answer
several questions in order to do primary research. This question asked
what the gender of the person doing the survey was and they were
given 20 seconds to answer.
15 people answered but the majority of students taking the survey
were males with a total of 9. However, there were 5 females which
means that it’s a survey for both genders and not just males or females.
This means that the client has to think about how he can attract the
attention of both males and females to his product as both are
interested in it.

The next question was about how old the survey taker
was. Age plays an important part in how a product is
designed.
The majority of people that answered this question was
in the age range between 17 and 19 years old and
although its between the class so it would be the age of
most the students, it is still crucial to know the type of
age people are that take an interest in a product.

The next question was asking what peoples favourite fizzy
drink was. Coca cola and Fanta are equal at 5 and that
may be because they are always advertised on tv and
social media whereas Irn-Bru only got 2 people because
you don’t really see that many adverts of the product.
Advertisement plays a big part in selling a product
because viewers get intrigued by seeing what the product
is, possibly how its made and how many people drink it.
