Describe how you located, retrieved and stored information:
To create this infographic I used google to researched
some information about the specific type of job in film
industry, which is film director. I found it quite
interesting to talk about and it gave me an idea of what
to write about on this infographic which would catch the
audience’s attention to read it.
Client research:

Things to consider:
Who is your client, what do they make, how do they advertise their products?
Remember the key things we looked at earlier in the project such as narrative, lines of appeal and persuasion.
Use screen shots, images and links to help show your research.
My client is Irn-Bru, their products is energy drinks from Scotland. They use an
attractive orange colour which makes the products interesting and eye
catching, by using the orange and blue as their main trademarks they make the
audience recognize the product. In the adverts they imply that drinking their
energy drinks will make you relaxed. The Irn-Bru target audience is young male
adults and adults over 18, who are allowed to buy energy drinks. While
researching some of their adverts, I realized that in some of them only men are
drinking the product which makes clear that Irn-Bru products appeal to males
more than females, and this suggests that more males buy their products; it’s
very rare to see woman drinking Irn-Bru on the adverts.
Client research:
In this advert, the neutral colour of the background
helps the audience draws their attention to the Irn-
Bru, which have different colour from the set. The
teenager is drinking the energy drink that makes him
feel relaxed. It’s really usual to see males characters
in the Irn-Bru adverts, this implies that the main
target audience from this company is young male
adults.
These adverts makes the audience wonder if the
products actually will make them relaxed and calm in all
situations by only drinking the Irn-Bru. The Irn-Bru
website is quite informal and complex, it is easy to
access. The adverts are informal, funny and in some of
them have a story behind which in my opinion make the
product stand out for the audience.
Client research:
In these adverts we can see clearly that they have
used light colours again which make the Irn-Bru
stand out by having different colours from the
background. They used pink in both adverts and
their product is the only thing with primary
colours.
The Irn-Bru is a Scottish
carbonated soft drink
which make obvious by
watching their adverts
because of the different
accent, they make it
clear in some adverts for
example in this one, they
used Scotland flag rug.

What market is your client part of, who is their competition?
A. G. BARR is a Scottish company that produce the soft
drink Iru-Bru which is the most popular Scottish drink,
they also produce the soft drink BARR. They also are the
producers of the drink Rubicon and Simply Fruity, which
is quite famous in UK. In 2017, Irn-Bru main competitor
in the soft drink industry was Coca Cola which is the
best seller in the industry, currently, Coca Cola still being
the best seller of the world. In the website
‘Independent’, they gave me this recently information of
Irn-Bru in 2018. “Irn-Bru is the best selling soft drink in
Scotland and third top in the UK as a whole, behind Coca
Cola and Pepsi.” – Hosie, R.

Information you found on this audience from secondary sources.
On the website YouGov they give some
information of Iru-Bru audience, they target
audience use to be young male adults. While
watching some of their adverts, males are
most common to see consuming their products
than females which suggests that males buy
the soft drink. Irn Bru is last in your tables both
in Primary and Secondary so your Primary
research confirms the findings in the
Secondary research.

The guys went on this shop to
buy a soft drink, but there is
only one can of IRN-BRU and
both want the same drink. They
start a “fight” to who is going to
get the last can of IRN-BRU, but
another random guy take the
can and drink it.

also start to think about
what the people say

Then he opens a IRN-BRU can.
He get inspirations and then start
to draw without knowing what
exactly he’s painting.
At the end he realized
that he have create a
Mona Lisa with an IRN-
BRU can.
Group Idea:
Idea 2: Advergame
Advergame:
There will be 3 different
character so that the player be
able to chose his favourite one
to play as. The characters will
be a prisoner, a ninja and a
thug.
The player also need to choose
one weapon, he will have three
options, banana, boomerang
and a basketball which will
make the security guard fall on
the floor.
The character will be in a
shop that sells IRN BRU, he
has to pass the security guard
to get the IRN BRU can
without the guard know that
he’s in there.
The colours of the
characters will
connect with the IRN
BRU colours; orange,
blue and white.
The weapons will help
the character to
distract the security
guard if he notice his
presence in the shop.
He will only be
able to use the
weapon once.
After the character
gets the IRN BRU can,
he has to find a way
out from the shop, so
he have to scape from
the security guard.

- X’s inner dialogue: Nah, that too far. I need to create a masterpiece! Something as
great as Leonardo Dav-
- X see’s Irn Bru can. He smiles and nods, rushes towards the can and opens it and
takes a gulp.
- X, out loud: That’s more like it.
- He rushes back to his work, grabs the paintbrush and whips his arms very
dramatically whilst still holding the can in the other hand.
- He looks smug, camera pans to his work – its Mona Lisa holding a can or Irn Bru.

Research: Describe how you located, retrieved and stored information: To create this infographic I used google to researched some information about the specific type of job in film industry, which is film director. I found it quite interesting to talk about and it gave me an idea of what to write about on this infographic which would catch the audience’s attention to read it.

Remember the key things we looked at earlier in the project such as narrative, lines of appeal and persuasion. Use screen shots, images and links to help show your research. My client is Irn-Bru, their products is energy drinks from Scotland. They use an attractive orange colour which makes the products interesting and eye catching, by using the orange and blue as their main trademarks they make the audience recognize the product. In the adverts they imply that drinking their energy drinks will make you relaxed. The Irn-Bru target audience is young male adults and adults over 18, who are allowed to buy energy drinks. While researching some of their adverts, I realized that in some of them only men are drinking the product which makes clear that Irn-Bru products appeal to males more than females, and this suggests that more males buy their products; it’s very rare to see woman drinking Irn-Bru on the adverts.
  • 7. Client research: In this advert, the neutral colour of the background helps the audience draws their attention to the Irn- Bru, which have different colour from the set. The teenager is drinking the energy drink that makes him feel relaxed. It’s really usual to see males characters in the Irn-Bru adverts, this implies that the main target audience from this company is young male adults. These adverts makes the audience wonder if the products actually will make them relaxed and calm in all situations by only drinking the Irn-Bru. The Irn-Bru website is quite informal and complex, it is easy to access. The adverts are informal, funny and in some of them have a story behind which in my opinion make the product stand out for the audience.
  • 8. Client research: In these adverts we can see clearly that they have used light colours again which make the Irn-Bru stand out by having different colours from the background. They used pink in both adverts and their product is the only thing with primary colours. The Irn-Bru is a Scottish carbonated soft drink which make obvious by watching their adverts because of the different accent, they make it clear in some adverts for example in this one, they used Scotland flag rug.

BARR is a Scottish company that produce the soft drink Iru-Bru which is the most popular Scottish drink, they also produce the soft drink BARR. They also are the producers of the drink Rubicon and Simply Fruity, which is quite famous in UK. In 2017, Irn-Bru main competitor in the soft drink industry was Coca Cola which is the best seller in the industry, currently, Coca Cola still being the best seller of the world.   • 10. Audience research: Put your audience research here. Things to consider: The results of any primary research you conducted about this brand. Information you found on this audience from secondary sources. On the website YouGov they give some information of Iru-Bru audience, they target audience use to be young male adults. While watching some of their adverts, males are most common to see consuming their products than females which suggests that males buy the soft drink.   • 12. Idea Generation: MoodBoard I was thinking to use dark colours in the background which will give an setting of medieval age.
  • 13. Individual Idea: Mind Map Advergame Angry birds I will use the IRN-BRU cans instead of the birds from the game. You will have to destroy the buildings so that you pass the level. Firstly, the player will chose the IRN- BRU product that he wants to play. Once you destroy the buildings, you win score that will help the player to pass level. TV Advert - Buying IRN-BRU - In a shop - There is only one can of IRN-BRU - Two guys The guys went on this shop to buy a soft drink, but there is only one can of IRN-BRU and both want the same drink. They start a “fight” to who is going to get the last can of IRN-BRU, but another random guy take the can and drink it.
  • 15. Group Idea: Idea 1: Art Advert Setting: In an Art room, College Guy painting He is struggling to get inspiration to draw, he also start to think about what the people say about his art. Then he opens a IRN-BRU can. He get inspirations and then start to draw without knowing what exactly he’s painting. At the end he realized that he have create a Mona Lisa with an IRN- BRU can.
  • 16. Group Idea: Idea 2: Advergame Advergame: There will be 3 different character so that the player be able to chose his favourite one to play as. The characters will be a prisoner, a ninja and a thug. The player also need to choose one weapon, he will have three options, banana, boomerang and a basketball which will make the security guard fall on the floor. The character will be in a shop that sells IRN BRU, he has to pass the security guard to get the IRN BRU can without the guard know that he’s in there. The colours of the characters will connect with the IRN BRU colours; orange, blue and white. The weapons will help the character to distract the security guard if he notice his presence in the shop. He will only be able to use the weapon once. After the character gets the IRN BRU can, he has to find a way out from the shop, so he have to scape from the security guard.

Planning Docs (TV Advert): TV Advert - To record the advert we will need a art class room. - IRN BRU cans - The character - Paper and a brush. • Script: Script - Young man (X) in a classroom – he looks sad and confused, stood over a blank canvas. - X’s inner dialogue: I can’t do this. I have no inspiration – I guess everyone was right about me, I don’t have what it takes to be an artist. I might as well of picked up bagpipes like da’ wanted me to- - X shakes his head - X’s inner dialogue: Nah, that too far. I need to create a masterpiece! Something as great as Leonardo Dav- - X see’s Irn Bru can. He smiles and nods, rushes towards the can and opens it and takes a gulp. - X, out loud: That’s more like it. - He rushes back to his work, grabs the paintbrush and whips his arms very dramatically whilst still holding the can in the other hand. - He looks smug, camera pans to his work – its Mona Lisa holding a can or Irn Bru. - Camera, SD Card and also an audio recorder.

Camera cuts from him posing in a sprint stance to already being back at the painting. - Camera has a wide shot of X’s back as he is holding the can in one hand but waving a paintbrush at the canvas in the other hand. - Cuts to his front as he is doing the same actions. - Camera zooms in on his face as he looks smug. - Cuts to the finished painting from an above angle.
  • 19. Planning Docs (Advergame): Advergame: I researched in the website, free sound, to find some sound effects that would make the animation similar to a actual game. I need to create: - Start background. - End background. - The background of the game. - Weapons. - Characters. - Little characters (back, front and walking). Sounds: - Game start sound for the background. - Collecting and selecting sound effects. - Nice and calm sound for the background when the player is playing the game.
