The study investigates the nutrient removal efficiency of water hyacinth, azolla, and papaya stem in treating domestic sewage, which contributes to water body eutrophication. Water hyacinth with papaya stem achieved a 74% nitrate and 67% ammonia removal, while azolla with papaya stem effectively removed 80% of phosphate. The findings suggest further improvements in wastewater treatment processes could be achieved through adjustments in reactor size and plant material used.
