The past then years have witnessed a sea change in special education provision in Ireland. The Department of Education and Science has issued numerous directives and guidelines in relation to policy, provision, structure and supports. Since 1998 there have been ten of legislation passed through the Dail that relate, one way or another children and special education needs The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) has been established along with the Special Education Support Service (SESS). Both these organisations oversee and coordinate all special education initiatives nationwide. Ireland’s primary schools have pioneered these new directives. Special education provision
primary level is developing at a rapid pace and great strides are being made. The next horizon for improvement is secondary school.

The past then years have witnessed a sea change in special education provision in Ireland. The Department of Education and Science has issued numerous directives and guidelines in relation to policy, provision, structure and supports. Since 1998 there have been ten of legislation passed through the Dail that relate, one way or another children and special education needs The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) has been established along with the Special Education Support Service (SESS). Both these organisations oversee and coordinate all special education initiatives nationwide. Ireland’s primary schools have pioneered these new directives. Special education provision

Florence nightingale !!
Florence received permission from her father in 1851 to train as a nurse in Germany. She later became the superintendent of a London hospital. When the Crimean War broke out in 1853 between Russia and Turkey, Florence volunteered as a nurse to care for soldiers. She was disgusted by the unsanitary and poor conditions soldiers faced while in army hospitals. After returning to England in 1856, she advocated for nursing reform and published two influential books on her experiences. Florence later suffered poor health and blindness, and passed away in 1910.
Bobby charlton
Bobby Charlton was born in 1937 in England and played for Manchester United from 1953-1973, where he won several trophies including the European Cup. He was also a key member of England's 1966 World Cup winning team, scoring in the final. Regarded as one of the best players of his generation, Charlton held many records as both a Manchester United and England player before retiring in the 1970s.
