This document provides five questions to ask when evaluating research to determine if it is "fake" or valid: 1. Is the research generalizable based on factors like sample size and methodology? 2. Is the research unbiased in how data is collected and analyzed without undue influence? 3. Is the research transparent about methodology, participants, timeframe, and limitations? 4. Is the research as objective as possible by considering multiple viewpoints and being open to unexpected results? 5. Is the research ethical in protecting participants and being honest about methods and findings? Asking these questions can help determine if research conclusions are supported and meaningful.
