İstanbul Gençlik Platformu (2019- present) Istanbul, Turkey
● I am an active member of the Istanbul Gençlik Platformu, which is a Turkish platform for teenagers to find
community service projects.
Teaching English language to students who are living in Mardin via Skype (2017- 2019) Istanbul, Turkey
● Every tuesday we skype with high school students who are in 11th or 12th grade. These students want to
become English teachers or interpreters and the 30 minute we spent skyping each week is an opportunity
for them to practice speaking English.
Teaching English to students who are living in India via Skype. (2018) Istanbul, Turkey
● Skyped with Indian students for an hour each thursday to teach them basic English structures and improve
their communication skills.
Teaching English to students in Afyon. (November 2018) Afyon, Turkey
● For three school days taught 5th and for one day taught 8th grade students. According to the each grades’
english level did exercises and played games to help the students understand English better.
Bolu Project (April 2018) Bolu, Turkey
● Spent time with students in a local middle school. Played sports such as volleyball, football, we danced,
and painted the school wall.

● For Girls in Stem Project helped the organizers in the matter of security and the welcoming of the guests
before the forum started. Then I watched the forum with the other volunteers and the guests.

● I participated in the charity run in 2017. I raised over 1900 Turkish liras for the Koruncuk Vakfı.
● In 2018 I ran for the TEV foundation and raised 1500 Turkish liras.

WORK AND SUMMER EXPERIENCE
Internship at Necmettin Erdem Law Office (2017 April Break) İstanbul, Turkey
● In grade 9, I spent 5 days in a law firm that was owned by my father’s friend. This internship’s goal was to
observe and understand how law operates in Turkey. I mostly attended hearings and read books about
various topics of law.
Internship in the law firm NBD Hukuk (2018 Semester Break) İstanbul, Turkey
● In 10th grade, I spent a week in NBD Hukuk. I helped lawyers to organize their case files, client lists and
hearing times. I observed different hearings, went to various parts of the courthouse. I mostly read case
files and tried to understand what the lawyers were doing in each case.
Internship in digital marketing firm (BANABAK) (2018 Summer) İstanbul, Turkey
● Throughout the summer I prepared a project for the digital marketing firm BANABAK. The project was
about the similar firms around the globe that operate in the same market. I studied how other firms stay in
business and what makes them different from the others.
Internship in the law firm Yörükoğlu Samir (2019 Summer) İstanbul, Turkey
● In the summer of 11th grade, I spent 3 weeks in Yörükoğlu Samir. This firm was very different from the
previous law firms I had interned in because they were consultants. Therefore, I was more involved in the
process. I translated passports, and contract between firms and wrote apostilles. I was able to experience a
different side of law which focused more on research and contracts.
Lüleburgaz Project (2018 Summer) Kırklareli, Turkey
● The Lüleburgaz Project consisted of Uskudar American students, Koç School students, Indian students,
Ethiopian students and local Eskitaşlı students.
● Taught English and demonstrated different cultures. We played sports from Ethiopia, India and Turkey.
Learned their cultural dances.
● 12 community service by teaching at a rural middle school and the program itself.
