1. A report on the 4th meeting in Poland
7-11 October 2013
The fourth meeting of Smileys Comenius was held between 6-10 October
in Poland. 6 teachers from Slovenia, 6 from Turkey 4 from England and
and teachers from Poland took part in the meeting in Kraśnik.
8th
October – Monday
Turkish partners visited our Kindergarten no 5 and nearby Primary
School. Turkish teachers prepared some activities for children which we
could see. It was a physical activity in a form of drama and a lesson on
how to dance traditional Turkish dance.
7 Teachers brought traditional Turkish outfits form children.
After the arrival of Slovenia and England groups, there was a welcome
dinner for all the partners.
9th October – Tuesday
The guests visited our kindergarten and its nearby division. The saw
classes in eight groups of different age. Then teachers from England and
Slovenia prepared activities for children. These were physical activities
with singing and playing Klanza parachute. In the afternoon teachers
with children went on a trip to with pottery workshops in Urzędów. We
could see how to make pottery and also take a look on the exhibition of
pottery used in the past.
The last point of the programme was a visit in the integrated pre-school.
Teachers had a possibility to see the organization of work and classes in a
place for children with special educational needs.
10th
October – Thursday
Partners took part in the meeting organized in Montessori pre-school
in Lublin. The saw the classes and how the organization of work with
Montessori method looks like. The rest of the day was devoted to a
trip to Cracow.
11th
The day started form evaluation – Comenius workshop.
We discussed:
- The tasks accomplished
- The tasks for school year 2013/2014

2. - Presentations prepared by the partners showing interesting
activities in their countries and the accomplishment of project
tasks
- We set the date for the next meeting, the theme of the last
meeting in Turkey and the need to introduce EST points.
A very important point that day was “Autumn Concert” prepared by
pupils from our kindergarten no 5. Children presented Polish folk dances
and modern dance. The city authorities also took part in the concert.
In the evening there was an official meeting organized for the “Teacher’s
Day”. The teachers from all kindergartens in Kraśnik took part in it. In the
official part of the meeting we handed in the certificates of membership
in a project . Later there was a party and dances.
