The cloud is all about ‘Access to Real Time Information’ - Always up to date ‘Access from Anywhere’ - Phone, Tablet & PC – Anywhere internet is available ‘Collaboration’ (both parties looking/working at the same info at the same time – whether that is client / Accountant or multi-site accountant working) No Software updates or additional infrastructure. - #11 Getting Started is straight forward and in your hand out we take you through the basic steps to set-up for first client. Quickest way to get started is to convert existing data – Chart of Accounts is pre-populated – if you wish you can import your own as well as customer/ suppliers and your products and services Overview of the home screen. Show the settings briefly that allow you to customise to your client needs including CIS/Flat rate & rechargeable expenses. Left Navigation and show where the Customer & Supplier Centre. Demonstrate Sales Invoices – Key Features – Add on the fly / List of Products & Services / Save & show recurring. Show Transaction History – Show GoCardless & Paypal. Save & Send. Show Attachments & send History. Sales Receipt – Demonstrate a Sales Receipt already set-up for a retail customer. PO & Bill – Access an existing PO & convert to a Bill – Show the items & Nominal Code entry & Pay Bill. Show batch bill payments. Mention Convers Sales order to Purchase order and & non-posting. Expense – Via Mobile App – Take a picture with the phone & show on Screen. Show the Estimate & signature panel Bank – Show the bank feed and the add/match functions including Rules Staying Compliant – Vat & Payroll Accountant Tools - ToolBox – Journals (reverse/recur/VAT/Attach). Reclassify Transactions, Audit Trail & user controls Reports – Powerful reports & Management Tools
- #13 - Ecosystem / Apps – think of QBO / QBOA as you do your smartphone. Whilst it is powerful on its own, we have the ability to integrate specialized Apps in to the product to expand the capabilities of the platform. The ‘lego’ picture is a good representation of that – think of the brick wall as QBO/QBOA and the lego bricks as the apps working with it.

What happens next An e-mail will be sent within 48hrs of completing the course. It will include The Certified ProAdvisor logos that could be used on your website, Facebook, Twitter and outgoing e-mail signatures A link to Refresher Training material if you need to recap any of the concepts covered in the course A link to the “Find an Accountant” directory. List yourself and your practice to be easily found by small and medium businesses searching for an Accountant. Your certified status moves you up the search results. 2. Identify your first 5 cloud-ready clients. Think about the functionality you saw in class today and the clients on your books that would benefit from the features Make a shortlist and have it ready for step 3 3. Plan and Execute A member of our business development team will be in touch to discuss the clients you identified and talk to you more about getting them migrated in QuickBooks Online
- #18 The system will prompt you to link your QuickBooks Desktop file to your QuickBooks Online file and then confirm where the data should be placed.
