Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Separation of crude oil is achieved by either one
or all of the following methods
1 Chemical injection emulsifier - demulsifier
2 Resident time (FWKO)
3 Heating system
4 Electrostatic methods (water drop let )

To achieve the production of crude oil, the following
facilities are required:
1 Main Process Facilities
Header line, FPF, CPF and pump station etc
2 Electrical Generation Facilities
Power plant, transmission line, step updown
transformer, Motor Control Center (MCC), electrical
heaters, induction motor, plant lighting.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), well site MCC,
panels, pushbuttons, contactors, relays, timers …etc

3 Instrumentation
Includes but not limit to:
A Measurement (main process variable) of
pressure, temperature, level, speed,
density, flow , pressure gauge, pressure switch,
pressure transmitter.
B Control system is the decision making or
what is the product constrain (within range).
It comprises:
Process variable, set point (predetermined value),
controller, final control element (control valve,
solenoid valve motor )…etc
C Metering for measure flow rate or how much
crude oil produce
16. D Safety System
Protection against excessive of pressure,
temperature and over flow and keep it
according to the design limits.
Fire detection system is achieved via flame,
heat, smoke detectors.
Safety system must be redundant.
Safety integral level must be high (SIL1,
SIL2 …etc ).
Safety must comply with standard codes
and regulation related to this field.

and Piping.

20. • Shows the detailed piping instrumentation and
equipment along with design information such
as piping size and specifications.
• It also includes:
• All the equipment & instrumentation used
• Indication of pipe sizes and type.
• Design conditions of the equipment
• It describes the way in which fluids are directed and
controlled.
Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs)
22. Utility Flow Drawings (UFDs)
Show the piping and major instrumentation used to
operate the utilities in a process.
UFDs are basically a P&IDs for utilities.
Show the way in which utilities are connected to the
process equipment for service.
Typical utilities include:
• Steam
• Fuel oil
• Instrument air
• Utility air
• Cooling water
• Flare, Process Drains
23. Electrical drawings contain information on how
electrical components and devices are connected
to provide electrical functions.
Schematics
Show the electrical connections between all
components in a circuit or device.
Used to determine a troubleshooting strategy
for the circuit.
Used to locate test points in a device or circuit.
