SharePoint is a business collaboration platform that allows users to easily create and manage collaborative websites. It simplifies how people find and share information across boundaries. Key features include easily creating collaborative sites with minimal technical skills, efficiently managing information through tools like document libraries and version control, facilitating team collaboration through wikis and discussion boards, enhancing communication by getting the right information to the right people, automating business processes through workflows, and integrating with other line of business systems. Site structure in SharePoint includes sites, lists, libraries, views, and web parts as basic building blocks.

Share, Follow, and Sync: How SharePoint 2013 uses Personal MySites for Social...Paul Stork (Microsoft MVP)
Prior to SharePoint 2013 many organizations built a MySite Host but never implemented personal MySite storage. This was a very viable strategy in 2010. But with the introduction of the Social features in SharePoint 2013 things have changed. In this talk we'll review all the new "Social" features in SharePoint 2013 that depend on personal MySites. We'll also look at how to control and manage personal MySites in your organization and discuss how future integration with Yammer may change this requirement.
SharePoint is being rapidly adopted by enterprises large and small as a platform for collaboration. One of the reasons for this rapid adoption is it's ability to be customized through the development of custom Web Parts. This session will take ASP.Net programmers through all of the steps needed to create a custom Web Part from scratch and make it available to Site creators in their SharePoint environment.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

14. TERMS YOU WILL COME
ACROSS
•
Site
A site is a group of related Web pages where you can work on projects, conduct meetings, and share information.
All SharePoint sites have common elements that you should know about to get started: lists, libraries, Web
Parts, and views.
Lists
A list is a Web site component where your organization can store, share, and manage information. For
example, you can create a task list to track work assignments or track team events on a calendar. You can also
conduct a survey or host discussions on a discussion board.
Libraries
A library is a special type of list that stores files as well as information about files. You can control how files are
viewed, tracked, managed, and created in libraries.
15. TERMS YOU WILL COME
•
ACROSS
Views
You can use views to see the items in a list or library that are most important to you or that best fit a purpose. For
example, you can create a view of all the items in a list that apply to a specific department, or to highlight particular
documents in a library. You can create multiple views of a list or library that people can select from. You can also
use a Web Part to display a view of a list or library on a separate page of your site.
Web Parts
A Web Part is a modular unit of information that forms a basic building block of most pages on a site. If you have
permission to edit pages on your site, you can use Web Parts to customize your site to display pictures and
charts, portions of other Web pages, lists of documents, customized views of business data, and more.
Content Type
A content type is a reusable collection of settings for a category of items or documents in a Share Point list or
document library. Content types enable you to manage the settings for a category of information in a
centralized, reusable way.
