The author started writing seriously at age 16 to express personal views and feelings. As a child, he enjoyed reading Mark Twain and Jack London, and now favors Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Romualdas Granauskas. He writes spontaneously when inspired rather than to a schedule. Themes in his work include experiences from traveling in Norway, Poland and Hungary, as well as things that make him happy or grieve. While experiences inform his writing, he does not use real biographical facts. The author's next work will be called "Swimming on the Floor" which he expects to complete in three years.

Literature Narrative
As a young child, I was always fascinated by other things other than books. Books seemed boring especially those that did not have pictures. My parents took me to a school with many children. All the children there wore the same clothes which I later came to know were uniforms. In the school, there were adults who I later came to learn that they were our teachers. I thought they had mood swings since they would be angry at times and soon after be so affectionate, play and sing with us. My favorite subjects in the school were drawing, painting, playing and storytelling classes.
I grew up rather fast and began to understand many other things about the school. I had mixed feelings about school, and that included writing and reading. I learned how to write and read when I was still in kindergarten. I can vaguely remember the first steps in knowing how to write. It was hard and it took me almost a week just to know how to hold a pen and write my name. At first, it was tiring holding a pen and writing a sentence but eventually I got the hang of it with time and it became easy and fun. Everything is a matter of practice, and the bold step of doing it. I grew to hate writing and reading, but later loved it. It’s not about how you start but how you finish.
When I was I high school, the work and the studies were overwhelming. There was so much to read through in order to display exemplary performance in my exams. However, novels, especially by Nora Roberts, were my favorite. I remember, in my class, a book would be scheduled by almost four people. I enjoyed reading captivating novels. I would be happy when a teacher did not turn up for a class, because that meant I would have time to continue reading. Surprisingly, I always found it easier to read novels as compared to school books. I think it's because my knowledge of school books were examined at the end of the semester.
As I grew up, reading and writing were the class norm, and at times one had to read the same thing repeatedly to understand the concepts laid out. That was the most boring thing with having to write assignments. I was always pleased to do my diary with content from my mind. I found it exciting putting what was on my mind on paper. Today I am a writer and writing is my life. I love writing and reading other writer's work based on the topic of my interest.
As a writer, I have discovered interesting facts about writing. Every form of writing is a discovery. As a writer, I get to discover a lot. Every time I put my thoughts on paper I am sharing something with the next generation. I know am sowing a seed, and pushing forward towards the unknown. I have also learned to lower my expectations, so that the words can flow. I don't like straining, since there won't be any valuable content. As a writer, I have read through my work to ensure I have the right content, until am sure. Writing has never .
Many people want to write but when they start it they tend to stop it halfway down the line, that maybe for many reasons, such as boredom,lack of interest , no more ideas. So before you start the writing venture you need to find the answers for why do you want to write? Find the idea, topic and make clear decisions about writing a fiction or non fiction. Then you should start when you are ready with all these.

The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

6. When and why did you start writing?
I started writing seriously when I was 16 because I wanted to write
down my point of a view and personal feelings.
Did you want to be a writer when you were young?
I tried writing, but I didn‘t like, because I was criticized for bad
handwriting. I still haven‘t learned how to write nicely and probably
will die like that.
Did you like reading as a teenager?
I started reading since I was six years old, at school during the lessons
of reading I was bored, so the teacher let me go for a walk, or let me
read books from the library.
8. How do you get the inspiration?
I don‘t know. But I am convinced if you want to write,
in that moment you can‘t look to other authors books,
because you could start writing similar to others.
Could you talk about your daily routine when you are
deeply inspired?
Nothing special. I just sit down and write when I‘m
getting tired or out of ideas I just start doing something
else and then go back to writing again.
10. Who is your favourite author? Do you prefer classical
or contemporary literature?
When I was a kid I liked Mark Twain, Jack London. Now
my favourite authors are Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and
Romualdas Granauskas. I like classical literature
because it never gets old.
12. How do you write – planned - every day or
spontaneously -when you get inspired? Why?
I write when I have inspiration because I don‘t need to
rush. I want my books to be created naturally.
Do you develop the content while writing or do you
decide on the end when you start writing a book?
For me it‘s not difficult to start to write and the
hardest thing is to finish what I started.
13. Do you have a special place or time for writing?
It doesn‘t matter what time it is. But I don‘t write at
nights. I think the most I like to write in the mornings.
I like to write near the table or when I put my
notebook on my knees. I can write everywhere. I wrote
my books in Norway, Poland, Hungary. I like to write
about places where I was. The most important thing
for me is to write in lithuanian.
14. What are the main themes in your books?
What grive and makes my heart happy, is coming main
topics. I love truthful and beautiful things so much; I
like to lought from myself and from others, when we
become stupid and forgethful everybody actually
sometimes is … But anyway, I regret very much tis
peolpe, who are oppressed by others ...And after all, all
are unhappy … I write a lot about that and I also write
about things which are very nice ...
15. Is there anything biographical in your writing?
Yes. I like writing using my experience, but I never use
real facts in from my life.
Have you ever had a writer’s block? How did you
overcome it?
Yes. When I feel that my book is starting to look like
the previous ones, I stop and rest a little bit and wait
untill the inspiration comes back.
17. Is writing a hobby or a way of living for you? Is it possible to
make a living just by publishing books?
Occasionally when I specially write for the magazine. I don't have
indispensable and accurate writing illness.
Do you like advice? Why? If yes , what advice would you give to a
young writer?
You have to learn how to write, so that words would be like music
and the story would be like a vibrant, dynamic painting
What do you think the most important qualities of a good writer
are?
The most important thing is that your style of writing has to be
different from other writers.
19. What are your plans for the future? What will your
next work deal with?
I am writing a book called ,,Plaukimas ant grindų“
(,,Swimming on the floor“). I don‘t rush, maybe in
three years I will be done with this book.
21. Is reading important to improve writer’s success?
Yes, but when you are going to write a book, you have to stop
reading others, because you may start writing simmilar to other
writers.
What is your opinion about ebooks?
I think they are inovational, but nothing can change the
pleasure of reading a real paper book.
How do you feel about reading critics and reviews ?
I don‘t mind that. Everybody needs some critics and I can think
about what I‘m doing wrong. But it will never change the way I
am thinking.
