5. Rockers
 They came about in the
sixties.
 Peculiar appearance: Long
hair, tatoos, piercings,
ripped trousers, t-shirts of
their different bands.
 They listen to bands such
as Soda Stereo, Los
Redonditos de Ricota, Los
Rancheros, Ataque 77, La
Bersuit Vergarabat.

6. Gothics
 They began to appear
after Romanticism
 They wear black clothes
as well as black
makeup.
 They tend to be
associated with
emotions of depression,
loneliness, darkness
and death.
 They are related to
satanic rituals.

7. Cumbieros
 They wear expensive
trademark sneakers,
baggy T-shirts of
their favourite football
teams.
 They usually dye
their hair yellow.
 Slang language,
deriving from
marginal areas.

8. Electro
 They use to go to raves and electronic music
recitals.
 They generally wear sunglasses, even at night.
They dress in a slightly exotic way.
 They have a particular way of dancing.

9. Conclusion
 There exists nowadays many
different types of subcultures
in Argentina.
 It is worth knowing about
them so as to avoid the
solidification of stereotypes,
discrimination, intolerance.
 In this way, we can promote
respect towards other people’s
views, lifestyles and
practices.
