This table can be useful in order to make sure you include all the necessary information in your final task. The black
ones are the minimum contents.
1. Where is the Earth located.
• I talk about the space.
• I talk about milky way.
• I talk about the Solar System.
• I talk about different celestial bodies.
• I name the planets.
• I distinguish between inner and outer planets.
• I include brief information about some of them.
• I explain the difference between stars and planets.
2. Information about the Earth.
• I say how big it is.
• I talk about its shape.
• I include some information about it ( life, type of planet, curious information)
3. The sun and its importance to Earth.
• I tell it is a star.
• I talk about its size.
• I talk about how important it is for life.
4. Day and night.
• I explain about rotation.
• I show clearly how day and night are related to the spin of the earth on its own axis.
• I tell how long it takes Earth to rotate on its axis.
• I include some diagram or drawing to clarify.
• I explain how position of the sun changes during the day and how shadows change.
5. Seasons.
• I talk about revolution (orbiting) around the sun and how that produces seasons.
• I talk about how long takes earth to orbit around the sun.
• I explain clearly that the earth is tilted on its axis.
• I talk about the Earth’s equator and hemispheres.
• I talk about how rays face each hemisphere in every season.
• I talk about different seasons.
• I include some diagram or drawing.
6. Moon.
• I explain what a satellite is.
• I talk about the moon´s shape and size.
• I talk about the moon orbiting around the earth.
• I talk about how long takes moon to orbit the earth.
• I talk about the moon phases.
• I include a drawing or diagram.
 Remember to use verbs in the correct form ( you will use a lot of third person singular)
don´t forget the subject, include at least one comparative when comparing earth, sun
and moon, it is good if you also include a superlative, use scientific vocabulary- orbit,
axis, rotation, revolution, to rise, to set…) and make it very, very clear. Remember that
you want to come back to earth!!!!!
Good luck!
