Develop factual, conceptual, procedural, metacognitive process skills and attitudes on “Blood” through lecture method,
group discussion, evaluation by participating in group work and group discussion.

FACTS
Blood is a complex fluid tissue.
In most of animals blood is red in colour.
The body of an adult human being contains about 5 liters of blood.
Blood flows continuously throughout the body.
Blood transport materials, providing immunity, maintenance of the body temperature etc...Are the functions of
blood.
Blood consist of 45% of blood cells.
Blood cells are of three types.
Blood cells consist of red blood corpuscles, white blood corpuscles and platelets.
RBC is most in number and their function is transport respiratory gases.
WBC is of different types. They provide immunity to the body.
Platelets are essential for clotting of blood.

INTRODUCTION
ACTIVITY-1
Teacher makes rapport with the students and teacher said; I will
tell you a story and ask the student to listen carefully.
Once upon a time, there was a women called “Blood”, she had
two daughter called “Red blood corpuscles” [nick name: RBC]
and “white blood corpuscles” [nick name: WBC] and a son called
platelets. They lived beautifully in a housenamed “Human body”.
In human body, many other families also live there. Blood is a
good mother and she liked her children’s very much. But her two
daughters are very naughty and have pride and prejudice about
their ability. Platelet is noble boy.
One day RBC,WBC and Platelets were playing football in the

RBC: - give me that ball; I am important in human body than you.
WBC: - who told you that rubbish; I am more important to
human body because I gave immunity to human body.
RBC:-no, me because I transport respiratory gases in the human
body.
WBC:-my mother loves me most, because I am white in colour
and very gorgeous to see me.
RBC:-no, mother loves me most. What your opinion my little
brother platelet. Do you love me…
Platelets:-I love and respect you two equally you two are very
important to our mother blood and human body. Do you know
our mother blood have very reputed post in the human body
because blood is complex fluid tissue; human being has 5 liters of
blood. Blood transport materials, immunity, maintain body

temperature etc. so our mother blood is more important, we
three are only 45% of blood cells.
Blood:-son, platelet you are also very essential for our house
human being for clothing. So my daughter and son please listen,
we should constantly work for the welfare of our family. It’s our
responsibility to provide immunity, maintenance for our human
body...So we should work in co ordination. We are all equally
important to our home, human body.
Then teacher asked some questions to students
1) What are the functions of blood?
2) What are platelets?
3) What are the constituents of blood?
4) Explain briefly about blood?

CONTENT ANALYSIS NEW TERMS: Blood, fluid tissue, immunity, plasma, red blood corpuscles, white blood corpuscles, platelets. FACTS Blood is a complex fluid tissue.
  • 2. In most of animals blood is red in colour. The body of an adult human being contains about 5 liters of blood. Blood flows continuously throughout the body. Blood transport materials, providing immunity, maintenance of the body temperature etc...Are the functions of blood. Blood consist of 45% of blood cells. Blood cells are of three types. Blood cells consist of red blood corpuscles, white blood corpuscles and platelets. RBC is most in number and their function is transport respiratory gases. WBC is of different types. They provide immunity to the body. Platelets are essential for clotting of blood. CONCEPTS MINOR CONCEPTS Blood is complex fluid tissue. Blood is red in colour. Blood consist of 45% of blood cells.

Once upon a time, there was a women called “Blood”, she had two daughter called “Red blood corpuscles” [nick name: RBC] and “white blood corpuscles” [nick name: WBC] and a son called platelets. They lived beautifully in a housenamed “Human body”. In human body, many other families also live there. Blood is a good mother and she liked her children’s very much. But her two daughters are very naughty and have pride and prejudice about their ability. Platelet is noble boy. One day RBC,WBC and Platelets were playing football in the Pupil listen to the story
  • 6. human body,RBC said RBC: - give me that ball; I am important in human body than you. WBC: - who told you that rubbish; I am more important to human body because I gave immunity to human body. RBC:-no, me because I transport respiratory gases in the human body. WBC:-my mother loves me most, because I am white in colour and very gorgeous to see me. RBC:-no, mother loves me most. What your opinion my little brother platelet. Do you love me… Platelets:-I love and respect you two equally you two are very important to our mother blood and human body. Do you know our mother blood have very reputed post in the human body because blood is complex fluid tissue; human being has 5 liters of blood.
