Dr.Rongxia Guan at the institute of crop science identified
salt tolerance gene after examining the genetic sequence
of soyabean varieties.
By identifying the gene,genetic makers can now be
used in breeding programs to ensure that gene in
different crops such as Wheat and Grapevine.
