9. Fellowship Program
A student would be selected as an Fellow based on his/her aptitude for innovation and
entrepreneurship, who will then get to work on GIC activities.
The selected Fellow, in his/her entire tenure, would represent GIC in their college and would be
equipped with tools that would be aimed to bring about his/her personal development as well as
advancement of the entrepreneurial eco-system in his/her campus.
After completion of 200 hours of active work in a period of three months, a certificate from GTU
Vice Chancellor on Fellowship/ Associateship and Internship will be awarded.

10. “Design Thinking and
Design Driven Innovation
based approach to solve
Social Challenges
This workshop was organized on 16th &
17th May 2014 at GTU Innovation
Council
Student Start-up Support System Co-
Creation Center (S4-C3). More than one
hundred first year young enthusiasts
from 8 different colleges came together
at S4-C3 to solve social problems through
the concept of design thinking.

This is an ideation workshop,
which goes through stages of
problem identification,

‘customer’ interviews,
prototype designing, and

flash venture workshop is
typically attended by
students who work in teams

13. PatentTrack
To promote innovative culture among
students in a fun learning way, GTU
Innovation Council (GIC) organized first
session of PatentTrack, a two days
competition for the Computer
Engineering & Information Technology
related branches of GTU. This
competition consisted of patent search
by students of given companies like
Google, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, IBM,
Intel, Nokia and Cisco, Group discussion
among participants on current IPR topics
& presentation of analysed patents by
each group for particular company.
