This paper examines the digital skill level of refugee migrants in Germany while pursuing a job, a training position, or following an educational path on the Internet. For that, we conducted a lab experiment designing tasks with varying difficulty to position the digital competencies of refugee migrants on the digital skill scale. Problems with operational and formal skills were observed whereas fact-based information seeking was often successfully completed. The most complex tasks could not be completed by any participant. The study contributes to a better understanding of the varying degrees of digital skills of refugee migrants. Results can be used to design targeted courses and curricula that address digital deficits. Further training in this area will enable refugee migrants to benefit from the many opportunities that arise through the Internet and its services, improving their chances for labor market integration.

Stage 5 Let’s get that job – Conversation
Héctor:
Ok mates:
As we were invited to the job interview, we should all go together, let's go in my
vehicle, come on.
The appointment is at 9 in the morning, we go very well because it is 8 o'clock.
Oh, friends, something happened to the vehicle. It has been turned off and will not
turn on again. Maybe it can be an electrical problem.
Ricardo:
Wait, I’ll call my father who is a mechanic and knows a lot of vehicles:
Hello Dad.
We have problems with Hector's car. the car broke down. I'm with Cris, Julián, José
and Héctor
We are going to a job interview with the director of the company's Human Resources
department.
Could you come and help us repair the car? We are on highway 123, kilometer 19.
Thanks dad, then let's wait, hurry up.
Julián:
And if we give some symptoms by phone to your father, it may be some disconnected
cable and we would make it come in vain. Tell him that the car does not start but that
18. 18
the battery has a charge and you see that it injects gasoline into the engine; also tell
him that before he stopped, he heard a strange noise towards the left tire
Jose:
We have no idea what could it be, Julian, We have to wait to hector’s dad. He knows
more than us. Maybe it is just something really simple. His father , Will fix it as soon
as possible so we could get to our interview on time. Don’t you think friends?
Julián:
I just said it thinking that it could be fit some cable that we could adjust; Let's roll the
car in a parking lot and by taxi How do you like the idea Ricardo? You should tell
your father and we will not be late for the interview.
Cris:
Julian, Jose, Hector and Ricardo it is better to travel by taxi, to be punctual in our
interview. Since in it we give the First impression. As for the vehicle we leave them
in a parking lot while Ricardo's father gives solution to the problem.
Solution:
Julian:
And if we engage the car?
- I just said it thinking that it could be fit some cable that we could adjust; Let's roll the car in a
parking lot and by taxi How do you like the idea Ricardo? You should tell your father and we
will not be late for the interview.
Hector:
Julian, this is the solution,
Let's go in a taxi, while Ricardo's father revolves and repairs the vehicle.
