Various security threats may occur in the Internet-of-Things (IoT) environment. In this paper, we look at the threat factors for each layer that can occur in IoT, and especially recent studies related to authentication in the 6LoWPAN environment using IPv6 at the network layer. Based on this, in the future, we plan to configure the authentication protocol in the form of using a session key so that the other party can be verified before communication begins, and the session key is used so that they can trust each other and protect information during communication.

A LIGHT WEIGHT SOLUTION FOR DETECTING DE-AUTHENTICATION ATTACK IJNSA Journal
Nowadays Wireless local area networks (WLANs) are growing very rapidly. Due to the popularity of 802.11 networks, possibilities of various attacks to the wireless network have also increased. In this paper, a special type of attack De-Authentication/disassociation attack has been investigated. In a normal scenario, a wireless client or user sends a de-authentication frame when it wants to terminate the connection. These frames are in plain text and are not encrypted. These are not authenticated by the access point. Attackers take advantage of this, and spoof these packets and disable the communication between the connected client and access point. In this paper, an algorithm based on radio-tap header information is suggested to identify whether there is a De-Authentication attack on the client or not.
The document provides an overview of network security topics including the current security landscape, network topologies, and objectives. It describes how networks are routinely under attack and reasons it is important to secure networks. It also outlines how different network types like campus area networks, small office/home networks, wide area networks, and data centers need security measures at various layers to protect the network, data, and resources. Physical security for data centers is also highlighted as critical to protect equipment and sensitive data stored in these facilities.

IRJET- Storage Security in Cloud ComputingIRJET Journal
This document summarizes a research paper that proposes a dual encryption method for securing data in cloud computing. The method first encrypts data files using the AES symmetric encryption algorithm, producing ciphertext-1. It then encrypts ciphertext-1 again using the Blowfish asymmetric encryption algorithm with a randomly generated key, producing ciphertext-2. This double encryption makes the data more secure, as an attacker would need to decrypt both ciphers to access the original content. The method aims to protect sensitive data from hackers and provide stronger security for cloud storage compared to single encryption algorithms.
This document discusses security enhancements for IEEE 802.11i wireless networks. It proposes using physical layer information and channel-based secrets to improve authentication and key establishment. Specifically, it suggests modifying the 802.11i key derivation process to incorporate information-theoretic secure bits extracted from wireless channel measurements. This would make stolen credentials like passwords less useful, improving security. The document outlines integrating channel secrets into the pairwise transient key derivation in 802.11i to provide forward and backward secrecy.

Network security is important to protect systems from attacks. Firewalls act as the first line of defense, blocking unauthorized incoming and outgoing network traffic based on security rules. Different types of firewalls operate at different layers of the OSI model and provide varying levels of security. No single security measure can guarantee protection, so a defense-in-depth approach using firewalls along with other tools like intrusion detection systems is recommended.
The IEEE 802.15.4 standard is used in networks that entail wireless technology within short distances and low traffic of exchange messages. This type of network is an approach of the Low Rate Wireless Personal Area Network (LR-WPAN) that provides the description for a physical layer (PHY) and media access control (MAC). There are four security services to protect the exchange of data and control frames in the IEEE 802.15.4. The MAC layer in IEEE 802.15.4 allows association devices to disconnect within the network. It also allows the coordinator PAN to run the disassociation process by imposing the associated device disconnection within the network. However, one of the challenges the disassociation process faces is DoS attacks, which impact the services of the network. Therefore, this paper aims at improving security through a review and analysis of the procedure of the disassociation process and identify the shortcomings of the security. The main result is to identify a new possible attack against the disassociation process. The attacker can impersonate either the coordinator PAN or the associated device to execute this potential attack. The implementation of the potential attack in the Castalia tool using the OMNET++ environment is explained and discussed in the results.

An improved modulation technique suitable for a three level flying capacitor ...IJECEIAES
This research paper introduces an innovative modulation technique for controlling a 3-level flying capacitor multilevel inverter (FCMLI), aiming to streamline the modulation process in contrast to conventional methods. The proposed
simplified modulation technique paves the way for more straightforward and
efficient control of multilevel inverters, enabling their widespread adoption and
integration into modern power electronic systems. Through the amalgamation of
sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) with a high-frequency square wave
pulse, this controlling technique attains energy equilibrium across the coupling
capacitor. The modulation scheme incorporates a simplified switching pattern
and a decreased count of voltage references, thereby simplifying the control
algorithm.
