This paper investigates de-authentication attacks in wireless local area networks (WLANs) and proposes a lightweight solution to detect these attacks using algorithms based on radio-tap header information. It highlights vulnerabilities in WLAN security protocols and discusses the exploitation of unencrypted de-authentication frames by attackers to disrupt communication between clients and access points. The proposed method involves a monitoring station programmed in Python that captures and analyzes wireless traffic to identify potential de-authentication attacks.
