(MICE)
• usually planned well in advance
• large groups are brought together for a particular purpose
MEETING : coming together of a number of people in one place, to confer
or carry out a particular activity.
INCENTIVE - meeting event as part of a programme which is offered to its
participants to reward a previous performance.
CONFERENCE - participatory meeting designed for discussion,
fact-finding, problem solving and consultation.
EXHIBITION - Events at which products and services are displayed.
MICE events :-
 Centred around a particular theme such as hobby, or a
profession or an educational topic.
 Aimed at professional, academic or trade organisations or
other special interest groups.
 Fastest growing segment of the tourism industry
catering to the business travellers.
The significance of the MICE industry is that it adds an
exciting layer to annual business meetings and
conferences transforming them from boring, dull all-
