Students at Satya Bharti government school noticed that many community members in the nearby village were defecating outdoors due to a lack of toilet facilities. They were concerned about environmental sanitation and women's safety. The students discussed this issue with their teachers and learned about a government program to help fund toilet construction. They then launched an awareness campaign in the community about the harms of open defecation and benefits of the program. The students surveyed homes without toilets and submitted a list to the village council. As a result of these efforts, every home started constructing toilets and received government grants, improving sanitation and safety in the community.
