Kate Megaw presented on incorporating Scrum in a traditional project management environment. She discussed key aspects of the Scrum framework including daily stand-up meetings, retrospectives, and lessons learned sessions. Various tools for retrospectives were demonstrated, such as affinity mapping, dot voting, and the learning matrix. The presentation provided project managers with practical Agile techniques to use in their work.
Many of us will chose to implement Agile, yet only a small minority of companies will realize its true benefits. We risk our reputations, our company resources, and sometimes even our careers to make the switch. Despite the risks involved, the potential rewards of; predictable release cycles, higher quality solutions, and re-energized teams are still worth it. In this executive briefing we will review case studies of Agile transformations and learn what can be done to ensure our success.

INNOVATION ROOTS | Webinar | Kanban Management Professional to Create Value, ...Innovation Roots
Session Title : Kanban Management Professional to Create Value, Create Service
Session Overview:
The purpose of your organisation is to create customers! Everything you do at work directly or indirectly affects the flow of value to the consumers of that work, and the likelihood they will become, stay, or stop being customers. We need to take the idea that knowledge work is a service seriously! This webinar introduces one of the key foundations of being a successful Kanban Management Professional, seeing and improving the network of services that enables your organisation to deliver value to customers.
Kanban defines three Service Delivery Principles that focus on this idea, and we'll look at them in more detail in this webinar. Thinking about the nature of the services we delivery, who we deliver them to, and what makes them fit for the customer's purpose, breaks through the purely procedural aspects of process to the motivations for, and mechanisms to, continually improve the way we work. We'll see that flow efficiency and lead time are an integral part of how customers experience our work.
This webinar introduces you to one of the elements of the Kanban Lens, as well as Kanban's principles and general practices. It will also set you on the road to find out more, and possibly to become a Kanban Management Professional (KMP).

Personal Agility: From Personal Satisfaction to Professional ImpactPeter Stevens
Personal Agility is a simple, easy-to-use framework to help you figure out and do more of what really matters. Personal Agility connects what you do with who you are and who you want to be. Personal Agility is also a simple leadership framework to help you build alignment throughout your organization.
Do you have too much to do and not enough time to do it? This talk give answers, shares case studies, and shows how you can use this simple framework to do more that matters and less that doesn't!
As presented at Torino Agile Conference, February 3, 2018
The 3 types (nurture, performance, strategic) of team building and its effectiveness, how to follow through using the "TEAMS" (Target, Event, Action, Measure, Score and Set New Targets) method.
Team building in organizations is a key component in developing people, yet there is little implemented by way of process or how to calculate return on investment. As management begins to question its value during tough economic times, what can companies do to demonstrate team building’s role in their success? Having reviewed and researched the current landscape through a variety of perspectives, as well as conducting an online survey regarding value and effectiveness, the author put together a streamlined framework that will set the stage for increased accountability, responsibility and outcome arising out of offsite team building events to address the lack of key performance indicators and to aid in increasing results. By delineating the types of team building, objectives can be clearly defined and measured. When the process is implemented, leaders, organizers, facilitators, and participants will be able to utilize the findings and recommendations to gain clarity on the purpose and impact of these affairs. Furthermore, this framework can be extended to other areas of learning and development. Recollecting a tennis lesson from when the author was a child, the technique in swinging a racket has been the inspiration for plugging in the missing piece of effective team building – the follow through.
People can work together while living in different realities because everyone interprets the world in their own way. Assumptions, misunderstandings, information gaps, behavioural habits, biases – these often sit under the radar, affecting performance, motivation, and delivery. We call it ‘The Fog’, and it makes progress difficult, frustrating, and slow.
This session is all about team alignment for effective delivery.
Timothy Gallwey’s acclaimed The Inner Game teaches four parts to the learning process:
awareness of what is
focus of attention
own choice (regarding own decisions)
trust in self and team.
This transfers to the letter when it comes to developing the Agile Mindset and I specialize in helping teams with the first step. In this session, you'll learn about the research behind team alignment, you'll find out a structured team alignment process works, and you'll see results through a case study with Samsung.
We will workshop a few areas around 'perception differences' and I also offer a free Take the Team Test online tool to assess your team's behavioral and cognitive alignment. Anyone attending this session is invited to take the test in advance and share your experiences of it in this interactive session.

Getting Started with Agile: A Guide to Building High Performing TeamsAgileThought
Agile has exploded in the last decade. Started in the software industry, Agile has now gone mainstream and is being adopted by a wide range of organizations. This rapid growth can be attributed to its core principles of delivering customer value quickly, while seamlessly dealing with change.
Due to this growth, there is a ton of online information about how best to become Agile. Many training courses focus on adopting an "Agile Mindset" or learning a prescribed framework like Scrum. Blog articles discuss specific Agile practices, like the daily standup meeting, while webinars promise increased ROIs and customer satisfaction. For newcomers, this information can be overwhelming, especially for those assessing if Agile is even applicable to them.
What is lacking is a clear guide on how to get started. This talk will explain why every Agile journey must begin with the formation of independent, cross-functional teams that do not require assistance from outside resources to deliver value. We will focus on how to create high performing Agile teams by instilling a culture of accountability and transparency. Finally, we will review the critical Agile practices to which every team must adhere with commitment and discipline.
Provides an overall project summary which includes prepare their people leader’s role in the company’s learning culture, strengthening the leader’s abilities to support the Future of Work skill development of their team members. It also includes a project overview (objectives, planning assumptions, design concept, project outline, basic evaluation plan, and change management plan

Agile Network India | Event | Personal Agility - Let's explore together | Sh...AgileNetwork
Abstract:
Facing complexity is quite common these days. But solving complexities with a simple framework is something uncommon. Very often we try to find big, complex solutions to resolve complexities.
Being Agile is simple, but we find complex ways to be Agile. Scaling Agile increases complexities hence we expect solutions also to be big enough to deal with it.
I believe Simplicity is one of the strongest approach to resolve big complexities.
We will discuss a very interesting topic and let’s explore together how simple framework of Personal Agility can be aligned with Scaling Agility.
Key Takeaways:
1. Basic understanding of Personal Agility (PA)
2. Hands-on of PA Framework
3. Explore various benefits of PA
4. How PA leads to Scaling Agility
There are rapid changes taking place in the spaces people work and learn in, how these spaces are operated, the services that are offered in them and online, and how people work to deliver these services, and how people and teams are organized. Elliot talk's about how to become a more change-ready organization in order to adapt to these changes. This will include conducting a baseline assessment, increasing awareness across people / teams / departments, new kinds of organizational design and structures, using mission / purpose as a focusing tool, effective decision-making processes, ways to work in more agile ways through prototyping and piloting, and ways to evaluate progress and continually improve.
Is your organization benefitting from the effectiveness of High Performance Teams (HPTs)? Use this presentation to learn how HPTs produce more successful business outcomes, about the roles of leaders and members in HPTs, how to assess team effectiveness, and how to build HPTs.

Content description:
People are different – the way they reason, communicate, involve others, make decisions, etc. Multiple diagnostics and tools exist that provide individuals, teams and organisations with insights to help improve relationships, team cohesion and culture. Surprisingly these insights are rarely taken into account in how the structures, processes and practices commonly associated with delivering change and projects are applied. This needs to change and Donnie believes that PMO’s have a critical part to play. He shared practical concrete suggestions during the webinar on Tuesday 29 November that can be easily applied in areas such as reporting or the management of risk after introducing a simple means of providing personal insight.
Sharing our vision to provide project and change professionals with freely available digital tools that will provide insights on the impact of the human dimension from an individual, team and organisational perspective to improve decision making and in turn project performance – the #humandigitaltwin.
PMO’s have an opportunity to embrace and apply this thinking and improve delivery whether at a project, programme, portfolio or enterprise level.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms.
