accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and

- 2. The typical conventions of a music magazine used in my work, particularly in the layout, include a bold masthead on the cover clearly showing the title of the magazine. Also, the visual style alludes to the primary genre that the magazine is aimed at; helping to establish the target audience. Other typical conventions of the magazine used include a price and issue tag on the cover.
- 3. These conventions are present in a magazine cover I analysed before: Strapline Masthead / Logo Coverlines Issue/Date/Barcode
- 4. Typically, on front covers of magazines there is often a strapline, a small sentence that should sum up the tone of the brand and/or product; this is also present on Strobe’s front cover. In all formats of magazine there are coverlines, short sentences that give a small preview into the content of the magazine, cover images, and often a small box with information such as issue and price.
- 5. My cover page uses typical conventions to portray a sense of genre. The lit up masthead with the Strobe title isn’t the only way in which the electronic genre is shown. I used lens flare effects and lighting effects to render the title much brighter and prominent which would also make the magazine stand out much clearer on a shop’s shelf.
- 6. In addition to the bright title, the bright, eye- catching colours behind the cover photo subject allude to a sense of an electronic gig with strobe lights, lasers and so on. The person on the cover isn’t doing much but is a member of the target audience who fit the demographic.
- 7. I have used many regular features of a double page spread in my magazine, for example the wide long shot of the subjects in the background. I have done an interview for my double page spread, a common magazine feature; particularly in the music magazine industry there are many magazines that have interviews with bands to attract readers.
- 8. Common conventions of contents pages are also followed in my product. I have included a small image of the cover, an “editor’s letter” and the contents page is structured in a staggered list organized in categories rather than just in ascending page number order.
