•Room service or in-room dining is a hotel service enabling
guests to choose menu items for delivery to their
hotel room for consumption there, served by staff. Room
service is organized as a subdivision within the Food &
Beverage Department of high-end hotel and resort
properties.
•A similar room service may be provided for guests
onboard cruise ships. Room service may be provided on a
24-hour basis or be late night service
TAKING ORDER
•Answer the phone within 3 rings.
•Greet guest by saying “Good Morning In
Room-Dining, This is ZAID , how may I assist
you .(Mr. KADAR)”
•Listen to the guest’s order, collect information,
write it down and up selling.
•Repeat the order and Room No.
“May I repeat your order, please?”
“Mr. KADAR, room 2313 and you would like
to have......... Is that correct?”
Thank guest for ordering and Inform the guest
for the approximate delivery time SAY: Thank
you very much Mr. KADAR, your food will be
serve in 30 minutes, is that fine for you.
Make sure you hang up the phone after the
guest had done so.
