Tendons connect bones and muscles in the fingers. The radial and ulnar nerves provide stimulus to the tendons, allowing finger movement. The radial nerve stimulates the thumb, index finger and half of the middle finger. The ulnar nerve stimulates the little finger and half of the ring finger. While the index, thumb and little fingers can move independently, the ring finger relies on stimulus from the surrounding nerves and cannot move independently in this case.

and ulnar nerves provide stimulus to the tendons of the finger for movement.
The radial nerve provides stimulus to anterior side of thumb, index finger and half of middle
