Tom Ross took photos at Salford lads club for his music magazine cover and spread but found they were overexposed. In Photoshop, he added a black and white filter, darkened the image, and cropped it to fit the page better. For the final cover, he added text over the photo and included an image of a CD to make his magazine look more professional and like a real music publication.

2. STAGE 1
I started out by going to Salford lads club ad taking a hand full of pictures
ranging from different angles and distances. I then narrowed it down to 2
pictures and used them for my front cover and double page spread.
However the exposure was to
high on the camera and I didn’t
notice until I got back to college
and uploaded my images to the
computer.

3. STAGE 2
After uploading my image to Photoshop I added a black and
white filter and made the image darker so it looked more
appealing and professional. I then cropped the image to make it
fit the page better.

4. FINAL STAGE
Once I had done this I added text on top of the image and then
added a picture of a CD so my music magazine would be more
professional.

of my final font cover
hut I used the
second one as it has
more bolder writing
and looks more like a
real magazine.
