Early Adopters
Early Adopters are primarily your first
customers, they came to you, purchased from
you and are hopefully loyal customers.
You want to target people like them
because it will be an easier sell.
Learn their interests, behavior
and know what they love about
your business.
Early Majority
Early Majority are referral customers, they
came to you because of a friend, family
member or business associate
recommended you.You want to target
people like them because they are
the friends of your early
adopters.
Late Majority
Late Majority are “prove yourself” customers,
they came in because they read about you,
heard about you and someone
recommended you. Learn as much
about them as you can. They most
likely have used your service or
product once or twice but love
your business.
What you need to learn about them
1. Location
2. Demographics
3. Interests
4. Behaviors
Getting to know your audience
Strike up a natural conversation that probes
your customers for information, like where they
live, work and how old they are. Take
notes after they leave, this will help
you target them and help you
builda better relationship with
them.
Getting to know your audience
Find out what they are interested in by finding out
what they do for business. What movies, music,
books, TV shows they like. Are they into health,
fitness and wellness? What
sports team do they like? Are they into
fashion? The more you know about
them the more accurate your
targeting will be for your
marketing and advertising.
Knowing your audience is crucial
to marketing and advertising!
