to date and have awareness of current, significant
initiatives in education and in the teaching of ICT.
Also to differentiate in the classroom to meet the
needs of pupils with a wide range of abilities and
specific learning abilities.

things that I know, and sharing my knowledge with
others.
SKILLS
• Some skills required to do this job are the ability to
build effective relationships with difficult children
and young people. ICT teachers need to know how
best to make use of a range of ICT to support
teaching and learning. They need to use so that it
really helps their learners to learn, helps themselves
to practice and develop as professionals, and helps
their institutions develop as learning communities.
ATTRIBUTES
• Some attributes needed for this job of being an ICT
teacher are; you must have an approachable and
caring personality, you must have flexibility and strength
of character, you must be able to lead and motivate
others and generate effective working relationships at all
levels. You must be very adaptable and willing to
accept guidance and support, as other teachers might
want to give you pointers about your teaching. You must
be a good role model to pupils as they will look up to
you, and depend on you for help a lot of the time. You
must have or develop the ability to remain calm in
challenging situations. Some extra physical qualities
required to do this job are; you must be physically
healthy and with a good attendance record. Also you
must be physically fit and engage in a range of actvities.
