     fundamental fact that
     learning is largely based
     on dealing with
     information.
•    In education, ICT is
     considered part of a
     solution to addressing to
     changing learning needs
     of societies. (Garrison &
     Anderson, 2006)
Learning Outcomes:
•   Increase knowlegde and understanding on
    the rapidly changing field of information and
    communications technologies.
•   Distinguish between technology-centered
    and learner-centered approaches of using
    ICT in teaching -learning process.
•   They will be able to know the world wide use
    of ICT in education specially in teaching-
    learning process with the help of examples.
Prospective Learners:
•   Secondary School Teachers
•   Primary School Teachers
•   Pre-Service Teachers
•   Anyone interested to learn the use of ICT in
    education.
Need for the instruction:
•   Teachers in Pakistan and in some other
    countries particularly the teachers working in
    public schools get very limited opportunities
    for training in ICT. So this multimedia
    instruction program(in the form of CD and
    website) will be easily available to them
    where they can learn the fundamental
    concepts of ICT as well as learn its meaningful
    utilization in the teaching-learning process.

Rationale for Multimedia:
•   Multiple formats of multimedia (text, images,
    videos/animations) used in the tutorial will not
    only help them in rote learning but also in
    understanding the presented concepts and
    ideas of ICT integration in education. That will
    allow them to use their understanding in their
    particular subjects and situations.
