Progressive collapse analysis in rc structure due to 150513181706pradip patel
Now in the recent time of terrorism, structural engineers require new consideration of terrorist attack in the design standards. Modern day structures pose a unique challenge to designers due to increased terrorist activities. Bomb blasts, vehicular attacks, Arson, Armed based attack all may result into a partial or total collapse of buildings. The work undertaken is an attempt to recognize the behaviour of RC structure under series blast loading. A model of G+4 RC structures has been considered as a progressive collapse analysis. The RC building with effect of series blast loading is analysed by using linear static and dynamic analysis. The present study work will carry out the effective study of different parameters like; different types of explosive charges (5T-5T, 7.5T-7.5T, 10T-10T TNT) at 10 mt. stand-off distance, failure of structure element at storey level and the structure is checked for progressive collapse by using commonly available, widely used software SAP 2000 will utilize for analysis

Select the Model for Case Study Collected data and analyzed model in STAAD Pro and study about its behavior against seismic load and also concern the preventive measures taken to overcome the effect of seismic loading on RCC Structure.
Multi-objective optimization for the probabilistic seismic performance based design of an example moment frame steel structure is presented. Direct economic and social losses associated with seismic events, which are of interest in the current recommended frameworks for the performance based design of structures, are considered in the optimization problem defined. Three optimization objectives are selected: the initial construction cost, modeled as the weight of the structural system; expected annual economic loss associated with damage resulting from seismic hazard; and expected annual social loss resulting from seismic hazard induced damage. Hazus recommended procedures are applied in the economic and social loss calculations which include the fragility functions used in the damage analyses and injury event models implemented in the social loss calculations. The multiobjective optimization method uses a non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm strategy. The optimization results for the multiple objectives are presented and discussed in the form of Pareto fronts. Engineering demand parameters implemented for the seismic loss analysis are inter-story drifts and peak floor accelerations and are obtained using inelastic time history analysis for the ground motions associated with various seismic hazard levels. To illustrate the design procedure, loss parameters are calculated for an example steel structure located in Los Angeles, CA.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Acetabularia Information For Class 9 .docxvaibhavrinwa19
Acetabularia acetabulum is a single-celled green alga that in its vegetative state is morphologically differentiated into a basal rhizoid and an axially elongated stalk, which bears whorls of branching hairs. The single diploid nucleus resides in the rhizoid.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Importance of Structural
Engineering
-Structural engineering, a part of civil engineering, has emerged as a
critical part of the construction process.
-The following points demonstrate the importance of structural
engineering for building structures and foundations.
1)Structural Analysis
Structural engineers working as sub–consultant to architectures help
delineate internal and external factors, such as load, wind velocity,
intersections, nodes, components, and landscape on the structure
steel system, utility, and capabilities.
6. 12/11/15
2)Safety Assessment
Structural engineers check internal and external forces, including fracture,
materials used, earthquake, vibration, creep, structure fatigue, temperature,
wind, and dynamics, which have bearing on the structure.
3)Estimation
Structural engineering helps outline behavior of individual structural
members and the most suitable geometries and material requirements for
them.

IMPORTANCE OF STRUCTURAL DRAWINGSIMPORTANCE OF STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS
-To achieve the geometric form of the design.
-To communicate ideas between designers and
manufacturing personnel.
-To act as an analysing tool.
-To stimulate the design.
-To support large number of perspective
references.
11. STAGES OF DRAWINGS
1. Structural engineering read the drawings of the building.
2. Then they decides what materials to use.
3. After that they calculated the loads of buildings.
4. Then they choose the types of elements they use.
5. Structural engineer analyze the structures.
6. Lastly, they proceed to the construction.
12. BEFORE CONSTRUCTION
Prepare the information of construction for tendering.
Produce the drawings of construction and details.
13. DURING CONSTRUCTION
Structural engineers are responsible for
designing the structure and foundations that
support the various loads on a building,
including people, furniture, fittings, vehicles and
machinery.
Structural engineers also ensure that the building
will withstand all the elements.
15. TYPES OF DRAWINGS BY STRUCTURAL
ENGINEERS
1) Structural Drawings
2) Reinforcement Drawings
3) Standard Details
4) Record Drawings
16. 1) STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS
Structural Drawings are used to progress the
Architect's concept by specifying the shape and
position of all parts of the structure - thus
enabling the construction of that structure on site
.Structure Drawings are also used for the
preparation of the reinforcement drawings .
17. 2) REINFORCEMENT DRAWINGS
Reinforcement Drawings ,fully describe and
locate all reinforcement in relation to the
finished surface of the concrete and to any
holes or fixing .They are primarily for the use of
the steel fixers and it is preferable that they are
kept separate from the general arrangement
drawing .
18. 12/11/15
3) STANDARD DETAIL
Project management term for a drawing or
illustration that is accurate and comprehensive
enough to be used in different projects with little
or no change.
19. 4) RECORD DRAWINGS
Revised set of drawing submitted by a contractor upon
completion of a project or a particular job. They reflect
all changes made in the specifications and working
drawings during the construction process, and show the
exact dimensions, geometry, and location of all
elements of the work completed under the contract.
Also called as-built drawings or just as-builts.
26. 12/11/15
2) Plan the construction project that will be taking place in
conjunction with the
results they found due to their analysis of the proposed project.
