Lesson Notes
Technique: I do We do You do, Roam and Remain
Subject: English Language
Title: Adjective
Time: 30 minutes
No. of pupils: 30 ps (6 groups)
Teaching aids:
6 White A4 papers
6 Colourful A4 papers
6 different colours of sticky notes,
6 sets of red and green coloured cups
6 envelopes
6 sets of label stickers
6 feeling wheels
Stationery
Steps
Induction (5-8 minutes)
1. Tr. demonstrates words by mimicking and gesturing. The words are:
o Happy
o Angry
o Surprise
o Sad
o Ps. guess.
2. Put up picture and word cards.
3. Pupil classify what are those words represent: Adjective
4. State the objectives:
o Write sentences based on the adjectives provided.
5. House rules:
o Put your phone into vibrate mode.
o Never use your phone in the class.
o Use English Language at all times.
o Cooperate with your friends.
o Every person will have a number and do not remove it.
o Elect a leader in the group.
o RnR (reward and reflection) will be enforced.
o Be super cheerful.
o Take care of your provisions (glue, scissors etc)
o Green cup for yes/understand and red cup for no/don’t understand
Presentation (5-8 minutes)
1. Tr. directs ps to the feeling wheel on their table. Locate the word.
2. Tr. recaps past lesson: words from the adjectives wheels.
o Loving
o Disappointed
o Humiliated
o Excited
3. Tr. recaps yesterday’s writing
o Loving-My mother is a loving person.
o Disappointed-Michael is disappointed because he lost the game.
o Humiliated-Liza feels humiliated by her friends.
o Excited: My sister is excited for her upcoming birthday.
Practice and Production (13 minutes)
1. In groups, ps. pick a word and make a sentence (2 minutes) (I DO). Ps. write it on a piece of
paper and put it up (WE DO). Tr. checks.
2. Tr. explains Roam and Remain.
3. Roam and Remain:
o When your no. is called, pick a designated A4 paper and roam to the assigned group.
o There the group will teach the roamer their word and the roamer will write sentences on the
paper.
o The group will reward the roamer one sticker for one correct sentence.
o The winner will be the group with most stickers.
4. Leader of the groups will come forward and pick a word from a box. A4 paper is provided. The
words are:
o playful
o proud
o confused
o mad
5. In groups, ps. will paste the word in the middle, discuss the meaning-no writing allowed (3
minute) and will make a sentence from the word (round table, 30 sec each)
6. After 3 minutes, teacher will call a number and the ps. will roam to another group. The new
group will teach the roamer the word. The roamer will make as much as sentence in 2 minutes.
(YOU DO)
7. Call a number first, then give this instruction.
o Round 1: 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6, 6 to 1 (2 minutes)
o Round 2: 1 to 3, 2 to 4, 3 to 5, 4 to 6, 5 to 1, 6 to 2 (2 minutes)
o Round 3: 1 to 4, 2 to 5, 3 to 6, 4 to 1, 5 to 2, 6 to 3 (2 minutes)
o Round 4: 1 to 5, 2 to 6, 3 to 1, 4 to 2, 5 to 3, 6 to 4 (2 minutes)
o Round 5: 1 to 6, 2 to 1, 3 to 2, 4 to 3, 5 to 4, 6 to 5 (2 minutes)
Closure (2 minutes)
1. Teacher recaps the words (call the word and call the group), every group will read 2 sentences
from their list.
2. Every group will count their stickers and inform the teacher.
3. Ps. post their work on the board.

English Language Teaching and Learning Session Lesson Notes Technique: I do We do You do, Roam and Remain Subject: English Language Title: Adjective Time: 30 minutes No. of pupils: 30 ps (6 groups) Teaching aids: 6 White A4 papers 6 Colourful A4 papers 6 different colours of sticky notes, 6 sets of red and green coloured cups 6 envelopes 6 sets of label stickers 6 feeling wheels Stationery Steps Induction (5-8 minutes) 1. Tr. demonstrates words by mimicking and gesturing. The words are: o Happy o Angry o Surprise o Sad o Ps. guess. 2. Put up picture and word cards. 3. Pupil classify what are those words represent: Adjective 4. State the objectives: o Write sentences based on the adjectives provided. 5. House rules: o Put your phone into vibrate mode. o Never use your phone in the class. o Use English Language at all times. o Cooperate with your friends. o Every person will have a number and do not remove it. o Elect a leader in the group. o RnR (reward and reflection) will be enforced. o Be super cheerful. o Take care of your provisions (glue, scissors etc) o Green cup for yes/understand and red cup for no/don’t understand Presentation (5-8 minutes) 1. Tr. directs ps to the feeling wheel on their table. Locate the word. 2. Tr. recaps past lesson: words from the adjectives wheels. o Loving

Practice and Production (13 minutes) 1. In groups, ps. pick a word and make a sentence (2 minutes) (I DO). Ps. write it on a piece of paper and put it up (WE DO). Tr. checks. 2. Tr. explains Roam and Remain. 3. Roam and Remain: o When your no. is called, pick a designated A4 paper and roam to the assigned group. o There the group will teach the roamer their word and the roamer will write sentences on the paper. o The group will reward the roamer one sticker for one correct sentence. o The winner will be the group with most stickers. 4. Leader of the groups will come forward and pick a word from a box. A4 paper is provided. The words are: o playful o proud o confused o mad 5. In groups, ps. will paste the word in the middle, discuss the meaning-no writing allowed (3 minute) and will make a sentence from the word (round table, 30 sec each) 6. After 3 minutes, teacher will call a number and the ps. will roam to another group. The new group will teach the roamer the word. The roamer will make as much as sentence in 2 minutes. (YOU DO) 7. Call a number first, then give this instruction. o Round 1: 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6, 6 to 1 (2 minutes) o Round 2: 1 to 3, 2 to 4, 3 to 5, 4 to 6, 5 to 1, 6 to 2 (2 minutes) o Round 3: 1 to 4, 2 to 5, 3 to 6, 4 to 1, 5 to 2, 6 to 3 (2 minutes) o Round 4: 1 to 5, 2 to 6, 3 to 1, 4 to 2, 5 to 3, 6 to 4 (2 minutes) o Round 5: 1 to 6, 2 to 1, 3 to 2, 4 to 3, 5 to 4, 6 to 5 (2 minutes) Closure (2 minutes) 1. Teacher recaps the words (call the word and call the group), every group will read 2 sentences from their list. 2. Every group will count their stickers and inform the teacher. 3. Ps. post their work on the board.
