Materials 50 minutes Time 20 Numbers of students 1.14~17(They have learn English for 3 or 4 years) 2.500-600 vocabulary level The age of students Students will understand how to say horoscopes, and write simple articles to describe one’s personalities in English . Goals

Warm up (5 minutes) <ul><li>The teacher shows 3 vivid posters of 12 </li></ul><ul><li>horoscopes on blackboard to attract students </li></ul><ul><li>interest to concentrate on the course. </li></ul><ul><li>Asking students: “Which one is your </li></ul><ul><li>horoscope? ” Then students have to try to </li></ul><ul><li>answer it or point out it. The teacher will </li></ul><ul><li>teach the names of horoscope in English and </li></ul><ul><li>Chinese. </li></ul>

The description would be </li></ul><ul><li>included birthday, horoscope, and characteristics. </li></ul><ul><li>i.e: My birthday is January 16. I’m a </li></ul><ul><li>Capricorn, but I don’t think I am </li></ul><ul><li>hardworking. </li></ul>

Assignment (5minutes) <ul><li>The teacher will ask students to choose two </li></ul><ul><li>of their family members to describe them </li></ul><ul><li>with “five simple sentences” ,and make </li></ul><ul><li>them into a simple article. Students have to </li></ul><ul><li>hand in the article on next class. </li></ul>
