Joseph Henry, head of Hunger 500, was inspired to run 500 miles over 17 days to raise money for the World Food Programme after being disheartened by the 25,000 people who die from starvation every day. He ran from Washington D.C. to the University of Guelph in Canada to raise $100,000 which could feed 25,000 school children through WFP's School Meals Program.
