 Boys have a penis, urethra, vas deferens,
prostate, seminal vesicles and testicles.
 Girls have a vagina, ovaries, fallopian tubes
and a uterus.
 Girls develop bigger breasts, rounder hips
and hair under their arms and in
the pubic area.
Boys develop a deeper voice, wider shoulders,
bigger muscles and facial and body hair.
 Reproductive cells:
 It produces female gametes called egg cells.
The fertilised egg cell develops into a fetus.
 It produces male gametes called sperm cells.
The sperm cells travel into the woman’s
reproductive system.
 Fertilisation is when the sperm penetrates the
egg cell to produce a zygote. During sexual
intercourse sperm cells swim into the uterus
and up the fallopian tubes to the egg cell.
 The time between the fertilization of the egg
cell and the birth of the baby.
 The baby leaves the uterus through the
vagina.
