4. Functions of the Uterus The primary function of the uterus is in reproduction It is the organ in which provides a way for the sperm to travel through to fertilize that of an egg. This egg is then a ova which plants its self on the wall of the uterus The uterus is also the place for placentation It provides an area for the baby to grow It is also where childbirth and menstruation occur
