This document provides guidelines for storing expressed human milk at different temperatures and for different durations. It recommends storing fresh milk at room temperature for up to 10 hours, in an insulated cooler with ice packs for up to 24 hours, and in the refrigerator for up to 8 days. Frozen milk can be stored for 2 weeks in the freezer compartment of a refrigerator, 3-6 months in a standalone freezer, and 6-12 months in a deep freezer. It also provides tips for thawing and warming milk.
