A STUDY ON LEVEL OF SATISFACTION TOWARDS TRAINING AND RECREATION
PROGRAMMES AMONG THE EMPLOYEES
INTRODUCTION:
Employees are the backbone of any organization. Therefore, retention and development of
employees is essential. The organization should develop proper training and recreation
programmes taking its employee needs into consideration. Training is any attempt to improve
current of future employee performance by increasing an employee’s ability to perform through
learning, usually by changing the employee’s attitude or increasing his/her skills and knowledge.
Training helps to
 Increase efficiency
 Increase the morale level of the employees
 Maintain better human relations
 Reduce supervision
 Increases organizational viability and flexibility
Recreation programmes are the various schemes the organization offers for the welfare of its
employees. It includes establishment of schools and colleges, clubs, entertainment programmes,
award and recognition programmes etc., these activities of the organization increases the morale
and motivation level of the employees. They also develop a sense of loyalty to the organization.
NEED FOR THE STUDY:
Today, software companies have taken new shapes in this competitive market. They possess
skilled labour and a variety of welfare and recreation programmes has to be developed to retain
them for a longer period with the organization. So, to win employee loyalty many such schemes
have to develop by the organization.
This study is a descriptive study that tells us about the level of participation of the employees in
the various training and recreation activities and the reasons for their lack of participation. This
study also suggests how to improve employee’s participation.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY:
 The research is an outcome of the study carried on the topic “An attitudinal survey among
employees of Hwashin Automotive India Pvt. Ltd regarding the training and recreation
programmes”.
 This study helps to know the level of participation of the employees with reference to the
various training and recreation programmes organized by Hwashin Automotive India Pvt. Ltd.
 This study helps to find the employee’s perception and the reasons for their lack of
participation.
COMPANY PROFILE:
Hwashin Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., has been founded with investment of 17 million USD (20
billion won) in august, 2003 and is located in Hyderabad
This model possesses 30% in India market and monthly production volume is increased from
150,000 up to 200,000, with 850 numbers of excellent employees.
Hwashin Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., is making efforts to becoming the world-class automobile
company and is spurring to join European market by taking advantage of the second base of Asia market

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND DESIGN
Research Methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem in it. We study the
various steps that are generally adopting by a researcher in studying his research problem along with the
logic behind them.
TYPE OF RESEARCH
For this study descriptive research design was using.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
 To find out the level of participation in all the events organized by Hwashin Automotive India
Pvt. Ltd.
 To find out the reasons for lack of participation towards the various recreation programmes
organized by Hwashin Automotive India Pvt. Ltd.
 To study the effectiveness of the various training programmes conducted by Hwashin
Automotive India Pvt. Ltd.
 To find out the level of appreciation provided to the employees in order to increase their
motivation levels.
 To find out the level of satisfaction among employees towards the various training and
recreation programmes.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENT:
The research instrument using in this study is a ‘structured questionnaire’. Structured
Questionnaires are those questionnaires in which there are definite, concrete and pre-determined
questions relating to the objectives, for which the researcher collects data. The questions are
presented with exactly the same order to all the respondents.
QUESTIONNAIRE DESIGN:
A Structured questionnaire with open-ended, close-ended, dichotomous, multiple choice and rating scale
using to collect the information pertaining to the study.
DATA COLLECTION
PRIMARY DATA:
The primary data are those that are collected for the first time and thus happened to be original in
character. The primary data using for this project through the questionnaire. The information was
collecting from the existing employees of Hwashin Automotive India Pvt. Ltd.
SECONDARY DATA:
Secondary data refers to the data already existing in company’s manuals, website and previous
research works done are using for the study.
SAMPLING PROCEDURE:
Convenience sampling using in this study. Convenience sampling is using for selection of
homogeneous sample for the study. It refers to selecting a sample of study objects on convenience, thus
research study may include study objects, which are conveniently located.
PERIOD OF STUDY
During the period the following steps are undertaking:
 Objectives are set and questionnaire is finalizing.
 Pilot study was conducting to test the questionnaire design
 Data was collecting and recording.
 Data was analyzing and interpreting.
 Reports was generating after statistical tools are applying.
 Reports was discussing with the management for further reference.
SAMPLE SIZE:
Due to time and resource constraints the sample size is taking as 120 employees in
consultation with the industry and the project guide.

 Yule’s coefficient of associations
 Percentage analysis
LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY:
Time was a constraint as employees of different departments and shifts wise contacting.
 The study was restricted to a particular branch of Hwashin Automotive India Pvt. Ltd hence,
the data does not represent the entire universe.
 The sample size was restricted to 120 in consultations with the company and project
guides. Due to time constraint the research work was doing with in the period.

PERIOD OF STUDY During the period the following steps are undertaking:  Objectives are set and questionnaire is finalizing.  Pilot study was conducting to test the questionnaire design  Data was collecting and recording.  Data was analyzing and interpreting.  Reports was generating after statistical tools are applying.  Reports was discussing with the management for further reference. SAMPLE SIZE: Due to time and resource constraints the sample size is taking as 120 employees in consultation with the industry and the project guide.

Ltd hence, the data does not represent the entire universe.  The sample size was restricted to 120 in consultations with the company and project guides. Due to time constraint the research work was doing with in the period.
