Analysis of Salman Rushdie s Midnight s Children and...
Transitions of place, time, and character are key to the storytelling in Salman Rushdie s Midnight s
Children and Virginia Woolfe s Mrs. Dalloway . Rushdie explores the History, Nationalism and
Hybridism of the nation of India after they became independent of Great Britain. Woolfe comments
heavily on English society more through her description of her characters, and the weaving of time
and place is an effective way to telling the stories of her characters as we follow them through a single
day. This essay will compare in three passages from Midnight s Children the effectiveness of
transitioning from place and time to the way Woolfe did so in Mrs. Dalloway . Furthermore, it will
explore why each passage is a good demonstration of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This parallels the narrative structure of the novel as being circular, discontinuous and digressive. The
same can easily be said for Mrs Dalloway as the novel almost jarringly weaves through many points
of view. This fragmentation appropriates the concept of history in Midnight s Children , which was
developed by colonizers. History works for a particular class of ideology, and therefore it will be
contaminated, oblique and subjective. In Mrs. Dalloway the characters themselves are subjective
commentaries on English society, and they have been subjectively contaminated by Woolfe s opinions
of who they represent.
The functionality of history is grounded in the simple assumption that life is shaped like a story.
Whereas Woolfe admittedly wrote in an experimental style that was more of a slice of life than a
traditionally shaped story with a beginning, middle, and end. For Saleem, who is buffeted by too much
history , it is his memory which creates his own history. The same is true of everyone in Mrs.
Dalloway . Memory, as well as fruit, is being saved from the corruption of the clocks . This quote
could have easily been in Mrs. Dalloway, particularly when Clarissa reacted to the suicide of Septimus
and seemed to fear the aging brought on by ticking clocks. Yet, for Rushdie, it is not based on the
universal empty time that has been conceptualized by the colonizers. Notions of time and space are
integrated into both novels.

Essay on Sundiata the Hero
Sundiata was not a self absorbed person, when even at an early age, malicious tongues began to blab.
What three year old has not yet taken his first steps (p.15)? Early on in his life Sundiata showed his

Sundiata says, mother, what s the matter (p.19)? When Sundiata makes up his mind to overcome his
problem of not walking, and should feel triumphant and celebrator by focusing on what everyone will
say about him, he immediately thinks of his mother, Mother, do you want just the leaves of the baobab

A leader must exhibit strength because the multitude loves and fears strength, (p.22). Sundiata was a
lad full of strength; his arms had the strength of ten and his biceps inspired fear in his companions,
(p.23). Sundiata leadership was not only in his strength, but he had already that authoritative way of
speaking which belongs to those who are destined to command, (p.23). Sundiata leadership is also
displayed through his loyalty by coming keeping the promise he made to Fran when he said, I will
make you a great general, we will travel through many countries and emerge the strongest of all.
Kings will tremble before us as woman trembles before a man, (p.32). Upon setting out to his mission
to restore Mali, he immediate goes back to Tabon. His leadership was able to take hold because people
admired him, in the camp he had an answer to everything and the most puzzling situations resolved
themselves in the presence, (p.37). With Sundiata, everyone bowed before him and he was greatly
loved. Those who did not love him feared him and his voice carried authority, (p.37). As a natural
leader, his voice carried authority, his eyes were live coals, his arm was iron, and he was the husband
of power, (p.47). Another hero qualities that Sundiata had, was his uncompromising determination.
Sundiata did not start life out as someone who would grow up to be a great hero, Sogolon s son had a

Essay On The Superbug Challenge
With emerging technology, online learning is becoming progressively more popular. Cope and
Kalantzis (2010) emphasise how technology has transformed pedagogy in learning environments.
Learning is becoming increasingly ubiquitous and students are being encouraged to be a part of many
online learning modules. The program I undertook was smart science module known as The Superbug
Challenge . This module s intention was to teach students on how to develop science inquiry skills.
Science inquiry skills means that scientific practices are established. Some of these practices include:
asking questions, creating and carrying out investigations, analysing and interpreting data and
constructing explanations that show a conceptual understating of ... Show more content on

This could have been achieved in a number of ways. Not all students building their bacteria go down
the same pathway to kill the host. Students could use different ways to test out their hypothesis,
essentially demonstrating critical scientific inquiry skills (Wilcox, 2015) such as gathering relevant
data to test the hypothesis chosen.
The way I chose to kill the host was to use prior knowledge and knowledge built up from the previous
modules to gather as much information to allow me to predict the result of the hypothesis. The
students learn about antibiotic resistance, natural selection and a real life application example. There
are questions following the content. The hypothesis reads: If bacteria survive one application of an
antibiotic then it will survive another application of the same antibiotic. The bacteria illustrated below
(figure 1) identifies the characteristics chosen from the acquisition of knowledge from the modules
prior to this screen. For example, I added phagocyte slowing and killer toxin and a trait that improves
the environment by hurting the host. These traits were added as prior knowledge and information from
the modules contributed to choosing these. This is what the students will end up creating after learning
about the most favorable characteristics the superbug needs. They can then view the data and see how
many times the bacteria survive an application of antibiotics (Figure 2). Students can also compare
how mutated bacteria go against each other (Figure 3) teaching them how to analyse and interpret data
from their observations. For example, the red line shows it was the most resistant to the antibiotic,
lasting the longest. The next three screenshots illustrate

The World Is Too Much With Us Figurative Language
Throughout the poems The World Is Too Much With Us, by William Wordsworth, and God s
Grandeur, written by Gerard Manley Hopkins, figurative language is used in order to share a view of
modern nature and society. Poetic devices such as imagery, parallel structure, and alliteration are a few
materials that both compare and contrast these two works. By incorporating these, each individual
author enhances the overall meaning through the idea of adding depth to the writing. Wordsworth, the
creator of The World Is Too Much With Us, uses his poem to serve as a reference to his beliefs on the
malicious, cruel world around us, and how people are growing apart from nature. Along with this,
Gerard Manley Hopkins words help build upon the beauty and importance of nature, and how God
above keeps its well being preserved. Due to all of this, each poem is given unique qualities that relate
their meanings to one another. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In William Wordsworth s poem, he uses biblical allusions; for example in the quote, It moves us not.
Great God, (Wordswood 9) the author uses a biblical character, God, to enhance the words around it
and in Gerard Manley Hopkins writing, he states The world is charged with the grandeur of God
(Hopkins 1), in which is used for the same purpose. Along with this, both poets uses imagery in order
to influence the attractiveness of nature and the world around, including the line And are up gathered
now like sleeping flowers, (Wordswood 7) which instills the picture of flowers in a quiet setting. Here
in Hopkins poem, imagery is embedded in the line, Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs
, to help construct emphasis on the beauty in the world. In both poems, each author, Wordswood and
Hopkins, points at a direct opinion on society and its pros and

Taking a Look at Digital Activism
Digital Activism Digital activism is the manifestation of informal communication and media systems
can have constructive results on the world giving strength and a voice to people when required. Yet, at
the same time be utilized as a part of conflicting attitudes to rather fulfill individual needs of activists
bringing on more mischief than good. Digital activism incorporates numerous sorts of new media, for
example, online journals, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. These online networking sites have
assumed a real part in different questionable political scenes. These sorts of new media have given
important devices to activists looking to have a voice and to support flexibility and majority rule in
government. Each instance of digital activism is its own particular story, and from nation to nation
there are key elements that give the vital setting to why some social developments triumph and others
fail. Digital activism has an exhibited, positive effect, particularly when the global community gathers
and uses digital mediums that concentrate on the objective of changing government strategy. Digital
activism, in general, is a peaceful undertaking. There are just a few situations when digital mediums
have been used to empower roughness against their rivals but in general digital activism is centered on
urban engagement, not hurting individuals or property. Regardless of the dangers, Ai Weiwei has
provoked others in China and abroad to take the charge through tweets,

Super High Me by Micahel Blieden
In this documentary, Super High Me directed by Michael Blieden, he gives an interesting argument on
how marijuana affects one individual. In this film, he shows that in one month, while using marijuana,
the negative mental and physical changes that take effect. For this documentary, he chooses Doug
Benson, a comedian who uses marijuana on a regular bases. What he wanted Benson to do was not
smoke for the first 30 days, then have him smoke continues through the next 30 days. This film was
made to tell people if they smoked marijuana every day throughout their lives, it would affect their
lungs but not do any mental damage. It s a spinoff of Super Size Me, which was showing you how
eating fast food for 30 days is bad for you.
Beforehand starting this experiment, Benson was not sober. The experiment timeline goes for 60 days.
For the first 30 days he cannot smoke any marijuana. The next 30 days, he is required to smoke
marijuana everyday. Throughout the days, when smoking and non smoking, he will be tested
academically, physically, and psychologically.
This documentary was based off the movie Super Size Me, directed by Morgan Spurlock. In Super
Size Me; Morgan Spurlock eats McDonalds for every meal for 30 days. To see how fast food in that
amount affects the body. Doug smoked for 30 days straight, to see what would happen to him. During
the first 30 days, Doug was required to stay clean. Within the first week, he talks to his audience on

A Good Relationship With My Father
The first time my father yelled at me I was six years old. I mean really raised his voice. My father had
never used that kind of a tone with me before so naturally I was equally surprised as scared. As I grew
older and connected events I realized my father had been upset, not because I was out of bed late at
night, but because my mother had been discussing their separation that night. Up until the age of six I
had an ideal relationship with my father, I suppose as normal as any other six year old child could
have with their parents. I won t try to argue that in order to have a good relationship with another
human you have to live in the same house as they do or even in the same state or country, but the
farther you are the more difficult it will be to obtain an ideal relationship or connection with that
person. A good relationship can be defined in multiple ways and each person has their own take on it. I
believe that to truly have a good, grounded, relationship with someone you need to be able to trust that
person, enjoy their company, and accept the person for who they are. In a genuine relationship two
people should be able to trust each other, to not have any doubt in the other person. Trust is the key
component to a healthy relationship and it provides a sense of safety which allows for higher levels of
intimacy (Colleen Ekback). Depending on who the other person is, may it be a parent, sibling, another
relative or a significant other, the doubtfulness will differ. It

How Did Zheng He Influence Trade
Our history classes can only cover so much, yet one of the most important ancient traders of the
Ancient World is left out of our curriculum, Zheng He. Originally of Muslim descent, Zheng He was
taken from his home and put into the army at a young age, where he quickly rose through the ranks,
making his way quickly to the top of the military hierarchy. Diplomacy and peace are necessary when
interacting with others, and Zheng He is the only trader/explorer to spread this type of unity between
countries. You may go the way of the heavenly kingdom, strictly abide by [these] words, keep in
bounds, and refrain from bullying the weak and share peace and happiness in the world. This was the

On Zheng He s 5th voyage, he made it all the way to Africa, opening a whole new world of materials
(such as rare gems, coral and amber) for China and earning him a place in China s history. From the
east coast of Africa, a giraffe was brought all the way back to China, and was used as proof that the
Ming dynasty was in the favor of the gods because it was similar to the mythical Chinese animal, a
Qinan. Envoys and diplomats to almost all of the kingdoms on his expeditions were sent with Zheng
He and he brought back several foreign envoys to China, where there were treated like royals. In a few
cases, the king of a country would be sent as an envoy. Once the envoys were brought back to their
home countries, they would spread the news of China s prosperity and the Ming dynasties success in
turning the land into something great once more. In addition to transporting envoys, they also granted
titles onto local leaders, which made the locals respect the Ming emperor and made them want to
serve him more. Zheng He was also sent on a mission to eliminate all the pirates who were causing
mayhem in the Indian Ocean and the surrounding seas. Because of his success, all the towns and
villages that Zheng He visited gained a favorable view of China, which is exactly what the Yongle
emperor wanted. This rise in popularity was great for China s international life, as it made them seem
like a wealthy and generous country that inspired others to take after their views and government. Yet
once the Mongols began invading once more at the Northern walls it became clear that there was only
so much money that could be spent on popularity. The voyages used up more money than they
received profit. With the lopsided logic of the tribute and envoy system, China was actually losing
money in the process. This was enough reason to shut

Manatees Research Paper
Also known as the sea cow, the manatee has earned the name Gentle Giants of the Sea (Prince Groff
13). Manatees are large marine animals that breathe air. Although they may look like boulders, these
blocks of blubber are graceful swimmers. The manatee s usual diet, behavioral patterns, uncommon
habitat, and hair raising predators make manatees peculiar animals of the ocean.
This species has a typical diet. The manatee usually eats wet vegetation, making them primarily
herbivores. Manatees have occasionally been seen to eat foods other than plants. Antillean manatees
have been known to eat fish from nets and West African manatees have been to eat clams (Reynolds

This species is classified as a semisocial animal, which means that they are solitary animals while
nursing their young, but casually gather into herds. Manatees are non aggressive, non territorial
herbivores that spend most of their time feeding (6 8 hours per day) and resting (2 12 hours per day).
The remainder of their day is spent travelling, investigating objects, and socializing by interacting
with other manatees (Seaworld). While they are resting, they are either at the surface of the water or at
the bottom of the seabed. Occasionally, manatees can be seen participating in group activities,
including follow the leader and body surfing. The sirenia is a social and solitary animal.
The sirenia s habitat is located in the warm coastal waters. In fact, manatees cannot live in water
colder than 68℉. They can be found where there is an abundance of seagrass or vegetation. This
species can live in either freshwater or saltwater and are usually by boating docks. They migrate to
near the equator in the colder months. During the summer months, they travel as far north as
Massachusetts and as far west as Louisiana and Texas. Manatees are seen in coastal

The American Dream Analyzed in the Great Gatsby Essay
The Great Gatsby:
The American Dream
Their love is founded upon feelings from the past, these give it, notwithstanding Gatsby s insistence
on being able to repeat the past, an inviolability. It exists in the world of money and corruption but is
not of it.
The Great Gatsby, a novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is about the American Dream, and the demise of
those who attempt to capture its false goals. For Jay, the dream is that, through wealth and power, one
can obtain happiness. To get this happiness Jay must reach into the past and relive an old dream and in
order to do this he must have wealth and power.

Nick attempts to show Gatsby the flaw of his dream, but Gatsby innocently replies to Nick s statement
that the past cannot be relived by saying, Can t repeat the past? Why of course you can! This shows
the confidence that Gatsby has in reviving his relationship with Daisy. Gatsby s American Dream is
not material possessions, although it may seem that way. He only comes into riches so that he can
fulfill his true dream, Daisy. Gatsby s personal dream symbolizes the larger American Dream where
all have the opportunity to get what they want.
Gatsby won t rest until his dream is finally lived. However, it never comes about and he ends up
paying the ultimate price for it. The idea of the American Dream has come to be focused on simple,
yet somewhat unattainable things such as wealth, love, or fame. There is one thing that never changes
about the American Dream; everyone desires something in life, and everyone, somehow, strives to get
it.
A big house, nice cars, kids, a dog, a beautiful devoted spouse, power and a ridiculous amount of
money. That is the classical American Dream, at least for some. The American Dream is tangible
perfection while in reality perfection does not exist. Living the American Dream is living in
perfection, which is truly impossible. Fitzgerald proves that the wonderful American Dream is
unattainable through the novel The Great Gatsby by using vain, yet amusing characters.

Symbols In Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven
The use of symbols in Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven gives the poem many different effects. The use of
the raven to symbolize an important person, Lenore symbolizing a lost loved one of the speakers, and
the phrase Nights Plutonian Shore to symbolize the darkness and mysterious tone of the poem. The
Raven is more than just the title of the poem, it also plays a big role in the theme of the poem. Poe
says The ravens big entrance (38 40). Poe puts a lot of emphasis on the raven entering the room,
which may mean that the raven is symbolizing an important person. Poe also mentions that the raven
is stately and that it is mein which means that its way of acting is that of a lord or lady. Later in the
poem Poe refers to a shorn crest, which is a medieval tradition in which a knights head would be
shaven for committing a cowardly act to humiliate him. Poe s use of the raven to symbolize an
important person plays a big role in the poem. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Church, Cultures And Leadership, Mark Lau Branson And Juan...
In their book, Churches, Cultures and Leadership, Mark Lau Branson and Juan F. Martinez point out
the perspective of Practical Theology. (Part 1, 39) They also explain the purpose of Interpretive
Leadership. (133) Their stories helped me understand how the circumstances challenge church leaders.
(Introduction, 19)
The authors focus on the continuous practice of reflective discernment, to help church leaders learn
what is the idea required for a church to depend on God. (39) One of the authors named Mark
mentions an instance when he as a university chaplain intern, was invited by an African American
student and experienced a group prayer. Because Mark was a Scotch Irish, his initial experience of
prayer in this group of students made no sense to him. Later he realized that it was the use of language
that had left a different impression on Mark. Also, he felt that his own theology in comparison to one
of the students named Keith who invited him was not the same. (40)The author Mark mentions that
after his reflective discernment, Keith s theology started making sense to him and differences that
seemed differences to him in theology, began changing. This instance, reminds me when I first visited
the Evanston Vineyard, a non denominational church, which is the same church where I am serving as
a Pastoral Intern. The first time I attended a service here, I noticed an African American woman
responding in words to the pastor s sermon. At first, I felt very annoyed, after

After, you have found your choices make a choice .or Respond. This step maybe the hardest because
of the hard choice you may have to do. Finally, you Evaluate ,or ask yourself if you made a good

Relationship Between Religion And Religion
The Relationship Between Religion and Science
Today, we are living in the time in which every aspect of life is influenced by some form of science.
From the scientific revolution of the 17th century through present day, scientists have grown
continuously. The impact of science is particularly powerful on traditional religious beliefs. Religion
is the belief in the supernatural, the invisible, the sacred, the visually receptive, and the illogical. The
belief is many fold, depending on the historical period, geography, culture, and dependent on the
content of each religion. It is operated by many rituals depending on the different religious
community. From the Latin religion meaning respect for the sacred, divine reverence or duty, the link
between man and the divine, people would live and survive these ways with the beliefs of the
supernatural powers in which would help people, sometimes synonymous with belief, often defined as
spirituality to believe in the supernatural, the sacred or the divine, as well as the ethics, rituals,
customs, and institutions associated with these beliefs. Basic notions of religion divide the world into
two parts: divine and mundane. Tranquility is normal in human life, and the divine is supernatural. In
the face of the divine, people use rituals to show respect and worship and that is the basis of religion.
In the most general sense, there is a view that defines religion as the result of all the answers to

that seem to give gamblers the highest amount of turnover.
Thunderstruck 2
The highest ranked slot game, boasting big wins on many occasions. The biggest win in 2015 came
from a player named Masis S , who won over $850,000 on the game. In fact that was the player s
fourth win in eight days on all slots. Proof that it does pay to be persistent.
Thunderstruck
This is the second highest ranked game and is known for delivering big wins with the highest winner
receiving an impressive $758,000. With figures like that in its back catalogue, there is no denying the
appeal of the original Thunderstruck title.
Burning Desire
This game boasts the highest single money payout of all three games, with a staggering $949,000
payout occurring last year. The figure is more than any other game during such time frame (excluding
progressive slots), however the stats say that you have less of chance of winning at Burning Desire
than the other two titles on this list.

most successful titles of the moment. Slot machines obviously work on a system and some would say
they work in favour of the online casinos. However, if you bet smart with your free spin

Racial Illusions In The Movie
Sam Dawson is a single father, who has a developmental disability but is well adjusted to society.
Although, Sam often encounters limitations due to his mental disability, nevertheless he is able to take
care of Lucy. Sadly, his life deviates when Lucy turned eight and a judge assume that Mr. Dawson was
not competent to care for Lucy s wellbeing. It was not until the family court realized that it was in
Lucy s best interest to reside with her dad. The film shows a contrast in Sam idea of being a decent
father and the perspective of the government system. The language, images, and themes used in the
film to portray Sam as a childlike, lacking basic scholastic skills, who is not capable of fulfilling his
parental obligations. The government only sees Sam s disability and the limitations he would place on
Lucy. Sadly, the movie leaves a taste of dissatisfaction because negativity and judgement are the
prominent feeling towards Sam and his situation and these judgements only enforce the idea of Sam
not being a capable father.
Throughout the movie, language was used as a form of limitation and segregation towards Sam.
Everyone was aware that Sam had the intellectual capacity of a seven year old, which meant that he
could hold primitive conversations and had minimal knowledge, through this lack of diction and
knowledge it was possible for the court able to exemplify the risk of having a person with disability
raise a young girl. In the film, Mr. Turner mentioned Mr. Dawson, you

The Text Euthyphro By Plato
Jeanelle Moncrieffe
Dr. Cicura
Philosophy 2010
27 September 2017 The text Euthyphro by Plato is concisely a dialogue between Socrates and
Euthyphro. Socrates confronts Euthyphro when he argues The point which I should first wish to
understand is whether the pious or holy is blocked by the gods because it is holy, or because it is
blocked by the gods (cf. pg. 31); 10a. This refers back to the Devine Command Theory and civil
religion. Civil Religion is defined as a mixture between religion and cultural relativism. Civil Religion
is an alternative version of the Divine Command Theory that declares that God s stipulations
correspond to an individual culture. The Devine command theory is defined as an action being morally
right because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Overall, Plato is saying that the action being holy and the action being divinely approved does not
have to be equal, however if they are equivalent, then they don t have to acquire an equal meaning.
Therefore, Euthyphro cannot state that what is holy and was approved by the gods does not mean the
same thing. In like manner, his argument pushes the concept of morality. One might say that what is
good is good because God says it s good. This raises the question asked by many philosophers does
God love the good because it is good, or is it good because God loves it? The simple answer is God
loves goodness because he is good therefore he commands goodness. All what is considered righteous
to God may be found in the Bible. The word of the Bible reveals what God expects from his people. It
reveals what is good in his eyes and what is considered evil. The words of the Bible portray the path
of which should be followed. It shows the path of righteousness where one may follow to be like God.
Man was created in the image of God; therefore, man was created to acquire his character. For those
reasons, God loves what is good because it is good and he is good. There are different standards for
judging the morality of something. An action is considered holy, moral or good because God loves it.
Therefore, we can assume that morality is dependent on God s will or

How The Research Was Analysed
How the research was analysed.
It was important at first to read through the data to digest the information. Then time was spent in
thinking through the information gathered before reading through it again carefully. Through reading
and rereading, implied meanings were gathered and links were found in the field notes and journals.
The data was cross searched for patterns and dividing the data by type. Data was strengthened when it
was repeated in more that one case and in more than one method (Soy, 2006).
Analysis and findings. Past and present leadership styles.
During conversations noted down through field notes, I began to reflect on my own past employment:
My first job in early years 15 years ago was the complete opposite to the setting I work at now. There
was no leading, staff were completely managed and so were the children. Practitioners were not
expected to involve themselves in any day to day running of the playgroup nor use any initiative.
There was no key people and interests of children were not followed. Planning was set for each week
of the year and did not change or deviate from the pre planned week (Reflective journal, 11th May
2014).
My past employment has given me an understanding of management and leadership from first hand
experiences, this then lead to reflection on the research setting:
The playgroup was originally run by two partners, Diane and Wendy. Their style of leadership was

Jim Jarmusch Use Of Gothic Style In Vampire Films
At it s surface, Gothic style in vampire films has been defined by gloomy settings, violent and
immoral action, as well as a mood of decadence and decay. It is truly a large genre which initially was
constructed to be outside, if not entirely subversive to the mainstream popular culture. However,
overuse of gothic aesthetics in film over the decades has anesthetized the intended effects, causing it
to lose some of it s purpose and specificity. Gothic aesthetics have so thoroughly saturated horror film
and media that it is now iconic, and therefore normalized, as an expected facet of vampire storytelling.
The initial point of Gothicism was to induce fear and desire within the viewer. It was intended to
portray otherness in terms of beauty, morality and humanity. That effect has been lost as the gothic ...

As the creditors view, they prefer the high current ratio. The current ratio provides the best single
indicator of the extent, which assets that are expected to be converted to cash fairly quickly cover the
claims of short term creditors. However, consider the current ratio from the perspective of a
shareholder. A high current ratio could mean that the company has a lot of money tied up in
nonproductive assets.
The return on equity, ROE, is as high as 20.69% (above 15%). It illustrate that the RL Corporation

how much profit a company earns for every dollar of its assets. Both ROE and ROA for RL

Identifying unknown phenotypes and determining mechanisms of inheritance of various genes in
mutations of Drosophila melanogaster
Michael Fisher, Tori Hall, Lindsey Theodore
Crosses carried out with Drosophila melanogaster can be used to determine mechanisms that modify
ratios of Mendelian inheritance, such as autosomal dominant and recessive inheritance, genetic
linkage, and epistasis. To identify the eye color phenotypes of two unknowns (U3 and U4), crosses
were carried out between the unknowns and flies with known eye color mutations (sepia, white,
cinnabar, scarlet, brown, and vermillion) and the F1 generations were observed. Thin layer

Faith Ringgold Essay
Similar to postmodern art, Faith Ringgold s work appropriates unmistakable imagery and other artistic
practices to offer basic social editorial. She provokes us to consider expectations for gender and race,
and in addition customary desires and estimations of what art may be. Through picture and content,
Ringgold changes history to make a place for women like herself in its historical advancement.
Ringgold s story quilting system is critical to the importance of her work. She makes the focal picture
utilizing acrylic paint on canvas, mirroring her insight into western art history in both style and topic,
and encompasses it with an interwoven fabric that incorporates her handwritten messages (Kuan,
para., 2). She at that point utilizes traditional knitting strategies to sandwich a layer of batting by
sewing the beautifying front to the plain cotton backing. She initially built up this arrangement in Who
s Afraid of Aunt Jemima (1983), a large quilt that changed the showcasing generalization into Jemima
Blakey, a very successful black businesswoman. Ringgold s knit draws on Afro Caribbean narrating
practices to make the Blakey s family old stories. Made not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Related with women s local work, quilt making has historically been essential to keeping up women
connections. Quilting is frequently done, permitting women to gather and have discussions away from
men or others outside their community. Young girls watch and partake in the movement keeping in
mind the end goal to learn family stories, social foundation, shared information, and specialized
abilities related with their maternal and residential parts. Despite the fact that quilts are regular in
various societies, Ringgold s African American legacy reviews their historical part, especially within
the Underground Railroad, to communicate codes and hidden messages that remain unrecognized by

Noah, The Ark Builder
Noah, the ark builder finds favor with God amidst destruction and evokes the trait of being loyal. This
trait represents Noah s character well because he put great trust in God and did whatever he needed to
do to save humanity and make sure that life for all living creatures were pleasant. Noah listened to
God and understood why God felt the way he did about the world, he also played a vital role in the
building of the ark that saved he, his family, and living creatures from the flood, and lastly, abided by
the covenant that God made with him. Because of Noah s obedience for God throughout the flood and
covenant, this paper will argue that the central character trait of Noah is loyalty. Before understanding
the way in which Noah is loyal, it is important to understand where his actions are coming from. The
name Lamech appears in both genealogies, the Cainite and Sethite. In contrast to Cainite Lamech,
Sethite Lamech is anticipating Noah s birth as a possible solution to the problems that are brought
about by sin. The verse in which Lamech names Noah (Gen 5:29) is pivotal; it looks backs to the
pronouncement of divine judgement while also looking forward to Noah and his relationship with
God. Adam s disobedience has sentenced humanity to hard labor and pain from which there seems to
be no relief. Lamech longs that his son may bring some comfort, and he calls him Noah with this in
mind. Lamech hoped that Noah would be able to work hand and hand with God to restore what used

Theoretical Perspectives In Coach Carter
Theoretical Perspectives in Coach Carter Issues in the home, the school, and the area have set a
critical allotment of American adolescents at danger. Young people considered at hazard are the
individuals who participate in risky behavior, for example, drug abuse, liquor use, and developed
sexuality. A technical term At risk youths (Siegel Welsh, 2011, p. 3) is defined as that undeveloped
people who are exceedingly exposed to the unenthusiastic results of school failure, substance abuse,
and premature sexuality. This term is not directly related to the movie, Coach Carter (2005), but the
audiences recognize those contents about juvenile delinquent activities in the movie and are naturally

137). The character of Timo Cruz s depiction and his role in the movie are quite significant to
understand about the latent trait theory. His character is represented in a destructive light toward the
start of the film. He is extremely disrespectful to numerous of his close players and Carter. He is tough
and hot tempered. A decent sample of his behavior would be on carter s first day. Once five minutes of
Carter being trainer he moves into a battle with him. He vocally mistreats the Coach and even
endeavors to damage him. Carter reacts by pushing him to a headlock and hitting him against wall and
requests him to leave the gymnasium. Timo furiously exits out of the gym shouting, This Ain t Over! ,
and promises never to return over to basketball. He retreats in the city trafficking and offering drugs
with his cousin Renny. As times of the film go by, Timo s wrongful behaviors could be understood and
fixed by Carter s rules and sincere heart. Due to the fact that the latent trait theory incorporates with
rational choice theory (Siegel Welsh, 2011, p. 138), it can be used to explain about Timo s situations
from his early life, why he

The American Nation Of Guyana
On November 18, 1979, in the South American nation of Guyana, a United States Congressman
named Leo Ryan, and several news reporters were assassinated by members of a religious cult called
the Peoples Temple. Due to increased scrutiny and pressures at home, the Reverend Jim Jones, had
moved the majority of his congregation to South America in order to establish a communist utopia.
Representative Ryan had travelled to meet with Jones at the requests of numerous family members
whom were concerned about their missing loved ones. Subsequent to the assassinations, Jim Jones
was not only able convince most of his followers to willingly drink cyanide laced Kool Aid, but he
also influenced them to give the poison to their own children to drink as well. In all, 918 people,
mostly due to their obedience to Jones, were either murdered or convinced to freely commit suicide;
and some, even consented to the murder of their own children (Moore, R McGehee, F., 2014). The
first question that many people might ask, is what kind of mind control did Jim Jones have over his
followers? Moreover, what kind of lessons were his people learning while they were isolated in the
middle of a Guyanese jungle? The Control and Learning theories help people to learn a great deal
about crime, but they can also aid in the understanding of how criminal organizations or societies
work as well.

Cat In The Rain Quotes And Analysis Essay
The insanity of the narrator is reinforced by what happens in the story. The story starts with the
narrator being sane by saying how calmly i can tell you the whole story. (pg 56) and following this the
narrator said i loved the old man. Never given me an insult. (pg 56). Putting that quote in explains
how he loves the man and that the old man would never do anything to him. The narrator starts telling
the reader he plans to kill his old man because he has a vulture eye, and that the old man is not guilty
for his own death. Every night for eight nights, the narrator brings a lantern and watches the old man
sleep. Until one night the old man wakes up, and the narrator comes in and suffocates him with his
bed sheets because he saw the vulture

First Aid for Adults Essay
First Aid for Adults
For my listening piece I decided to do a talk on first aid for adults. I identified the main characteristics
of scripted speech and tried to emulate them in my piece. The key characteristics of instructional
speech are that it uses very short, concise sentences to give directions. Long complex sentences can
lead to ambiguity and confusion. Instructional speech uses simple, easy to understand vocabulary as
complicated wording, jargon and terminology make instructions difficult to understand and may
confuse the listener. The points must also be presented in a logical order to make them easy to follow.
The audience should be addressed directly, using a fairly personal, ... Show more content on

In my third and fourth drafts, I put the information into even smaller blocks to emphasise the succinct
style of writing because I felt that it was still too difficult to follow; so I used more bullet points and
used capitals, underlining and italics to emphasise key words and phrases. Also in the graphology of
the piece I have used dashes in order to more effectively show where the reader would give a slight
pause. An example is in a hundred compressions a minute just under two a second .
In the third paragraph in particular, the sentences were too complex so having originally written them
as one complex sentence in the pluperfect tense, I broke them down in to one point per sentence and
put them in the present tense so that it would be easier to understand. I also changed some of the verbs
that were in the present tense into the imperative form because it made the phonology sharper and
clearer for the audience to hear. One example is in the sentence After you have returned to the casualty
and rechecked their breathing and they are not breathing or if the likely cause of unconsciousness is
trauma or drowning and they are not breathing, you now give two rescue breaths . The sentence was
much too long and confusing so I changed it to When you return to the casualty re check their
breathing. If they are not breathing or if the likely cause

Leadership And Team Effectiveness Of Team Success
Leadership and Team Effectiveness Team success is a result of highly synchronized and efficient
groups who strives to reach a common goal. It is rare and undependable for a team to naturally be
successful without leadership. Leadership provides mission, vision, and values for a team. Leadership
also helps establish positive norms within a team s working environment. There are two leadership
theories presented in this course which, among the various theories, can play an important role in
effective tem management and composition as well as contribute to an effective team (Bien, 2016).
These two theories include the Management/Leadership Grid and Transactional Theory. The
Management/Leadership Grid and Transactional Theory both have the ability to positively impact
teams and how they behave. This essay will review these two leadership theories, their relationship to
the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment, and how transactional leadership
and sound team leadership are the best approaches to effective teams. It will also discuss team
performance, identity, evaluation, reward, working relationship and conflict associated with these two
theories. First we must get a better understanding of these two leadership theories.
Transactional Leadership Theory Transactional Leadership Theory is a theory in which a leader uses
methods to encourage compliance. Spahr (2016) describes transactional leadership as ... the idea that

Who Is Leslie Knope s Parks And Recreation
Parks and Recreation is a comedy tv show which stars Amy Poler as the main character, Leslie Knope.
Leslie Knope is a lively government official who works in the Parks Department of Pawnee. Although
Parks and Recreation is a comedy tv show, Leslie Knope displays insight into misogyny, sexism,
gender equality and government sexual politics, particularly in an office place. Before we were aware
of the cliche yet degrading storyline of girls fantasizing of finding the perfect man to marry, the media
produced a majority of their films based on that specific plot. The media portrayed the woman
depending on a man to sweep her off her feet and to live happily ever after. One major example is the
story of Cinderella. The book ended happily ever after only when Cinderella had found her prince?
Finding a man solely for living a comfortable life without any worries is in fact risky and foolish.
Dependence on a man is futile because you are indeed responsible for your own life. Leslie Knope
challenges this idea by focusing all of her time furthering her career and improving life in the Town of
Pawnee. In no way does Leslie show any signs of achieving a happy and ... Show more content on

women is familiar with and the commonly yet demeaning characteristic women are expected to be,

  • 2. Analysis of Salman Rushdie s Midnight s Children and... Transitions of place, time, and character are key to the storytelling in Salman Rushdie s Midnight s Children and Virginia Woolfe s Mrs. Dalloway . Rushdie explores the History, Nationalism and Hybridism of the nation of India after they became independent of Great Britain. Woolfe comments heavily on English society more through her description of her characters, and the weaving of time and place is an effective way to telling the stories of her characters as we follow them through a single day. This essay will compare in three passages from Midnight s Children the effectiveness of transitioning from place and time to the way Woolfe did so in Mrs. Dalloway . Furthermore, it will explore why each passage is a good demonstration of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This parallels the narrative structure of the novel as being circular, discontinuous and digressive. The same can easily be said for Mrs Dalloway as the novel almost jarringly weaves through many points of view. This fragmentation appropriates the concept of history in Midnight s Children , which was developed by colonizers. History works for a particular class of ideology, and therefore it will be contaminated, oblique and subjective. In Mrs. Dalloway the characters themselves are subjective commentaries on English society, and they have been subjectively contaminated by Woolfe s opinions of who they represent. The functionality of history is grounded in the simple assumption that life is shaped like a story. Whereas Woolfe admittedly wrote in an experimental style that was more of a slice of life than a traditionally shaped story with a beginning, middle, and end. For Saleem, who is buffeted by too much history , it is his memory which creates his own history. The same is true of everyone in Mrs. Dalloway . Memory, as well as fruit, is being saved from the corruption of the clocks . This quote could have easily been in Mrs. Dalloway, particularly when Clarissa reacted to the suicide of Septimus and seemed to fear the aging brought on by ticking clocks. Yet, for Rushdie, it is not based on the universal empty time that has been conceptualized by the colonizers. Notions of time and space are integrated into both novels. The novel critiques ... Sundiata leadership is also displayed through his loyalty by coming keeping the promise he made to Fran when he said, I will make you a great general, we will travel through many countries and emerge the strongest of all. Kings will tremble before us as woman trembles before a man, (p.32). Upon setting out to his mission to restore Mali, he immediate goes back to Tabon. His leadership was able to take hold because people admired him, in the camp he had an answer to everything and the most puzzling situations resolved themselves in the presence, (p.37). With Sundiata, everyone bowed before him and he was greatly loved. Those who did not love him feared him and his voice carried authority, (p.37). As a natural leader, his voice carried authority, his eyes were live coals, his arm was iron, and he was the husband of power, (p.47). • 4. Essay On The Superbug Challenge With emerging technology, online learning is becoming progressively more popular. Cope and Kalantzis (2010) emphasise how technology has transformed pedagogy in learning environments. Learning is becoming increasingly ubiquitous and students are being encouraged to be a part of many online learning modules. The program I undertook was smart science module known as The Superbug Challenge . This module s intention was to teach students on how to develop science inquiry skills. Science inquiry skills means that scientific practices are established. Some of these practices include: asking questions, creating and carrying out investigations, analysing and interpreting data and constructing explanations that show a conceptual understating of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This could have been achieved in a number of ways. Not all students building their bacteria go down the same pathway to kill the host. Students could use different ways to test out their hypothesis, essentially demonstrating critical scientific inquiry skills (Wilcox, 2015) such as gathering relevant data to test the hypothesis chosen. The way I chose to kill the host was to use prior knowledge and knowledge built up from the previous modules to gather as much information to allow me to predict the result of the hypothesis. The students learn about antibiotic resistance, natural selection and a real life application example. There are questions following the content. The hypothesis reads: If bacteria survive one application of an antibiotic then it will survive another application of the same antibiotic. The bacteria illustrated below (figure 1) identifies the characteristics chosen from the acquisition of knowledge from the modules prior to this screen. For example, I added phagocyte slowing and killer toxin and a trait that improves the environment by hurting the host. These traits were added as prior knowledge and information from the modules contributed to choosing these. This is what the students will end up creating after learning about the most favorable characteristics the superbug needs. They can then view the data and see how many times the bacteria survive an application of antibiotics (Figure 2). Students can also compare how mutated bacteria go against each other (Figure 3) teaching them how to analyse and interpret data from their observations. For example, the red line shows it was the most resistant to the antibiotic, lasting the longest. The next three screenshots illustrate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The World Is Too Much With Us Figurative Language Throughout the poems The World Is Too Much With Us, by William Wordsworth, and God s Grandeur, written by Gerard Manley Hopkins, figurative language is used in order to share a view of modern nature and society. Poetic devices such as imagery, parallel structure, and alliteration are a few materials that both compare and contrast these two works. By incorporating these, each individual author enhances the overall meaning through the idea of adding depth to the writing. Wordsworth, the creator of The World Is Too Much With Us, uses his poem to serve as a reference to his beliefs on the malicious, cruel world around us, and how people are growing apart from nature. Along with this, Gerard Manley Hopkins words help build upon the beauty and importance of nature, and how God above keeps its well being preserved. Due to all of this, each poem is given unique qualities that relate their meanings to one another. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In William Wordsworth s poem, he uses biblical allusions; for example in the quote, It moves us not. Great God, (Wordswood 9) the author uses a biblical character, God, to enhance the words around it and in Gerard Manley Hopkins writing, he states The world is charged with the grandeur of God (Hopkins 1), in which is used for the same purpose. Along with this, both poets uses imagery in order to influence the attractiveness of nature and the world around, including the line And are up gathered now like sleeping flowers, (Wordswood 7) which instills the picture of flowers in a quiet setting. Digital activism incorporates numerous sorts of new media, for example, online journals, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. These online networking sites have assumed a real part in different questionable political scenes. These sorts of new media have given important devices to activists looking to have a voice and to support flexibility and majority rule in government. Each instance of digital activism is its own particular story, and from nation to nation there are key elements that give the vital setting to why some social developments triumph and others fail. Digital activism has an exhibited, positive effect, particularly when the global community gathers and uses digital mediums that concentrate on the objective of changing government strategy. Digital activism, in general, is a peaceful undertaking. • 8. A Good Relationship With My Father The first time my father yelled at me I was six years old. I mean really raised his voice. My father had never used that kind of a tone with me before so naturally I was equally surprised as scared. As I grew older and connected events I realized my father had been upset, not because I was out of bed late at night, but because my mother had been discussing their separation that night. Up until the age of six I had an ideal relationship with my father, I suppose as normal as any other six year old child could have with their parents. I won t try to argue that in order to have a good relationship with another human you have to live in the same house as they do or even in the same state or country, but the farther you are the more difficult it will be to obtain an ideal relationship or connection with that person. A good relationship can be defined in multiple ways and each person has their own take on it. I believe that to truly have a good, grounded, relationship with someone you need to be able to trust that person, enjoy their company, and accept the person for who they are. In a genuine relationship two people should be able to trust each other, to not have any doubt in the other person. Trust is the key component to a healthy relationship and it provides a sense of safety which allows for higher levels of intimacy (Colleen Ekback). Depending on who the other person is, may it be a parent, sibling, another relative or a significant other, the doubtfulness will differ. It ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Diplomacy and peace are necessary when interacting with others, and Zheng He is the only trader/explorer to spread this type of unity between countries. On Zheng He s 5th voyage, he made it all the way to Africa, opening a whole new world of materials (such as rare gems, coral and amber) for China and earning him a place in China s history. From the east coast of Africa, a giraffe was brought all the way back to China, and was used as proof that the Ming dynasty was in the favor of the gods because it was similar to the mythical Chinese animal, a Qinan. Envoys and diplomats to almost all of the kingdoms on his expeditions were sent with Zheng He and he brought back several foreign envoys to China, where there were treated like royals. In a few cases, the king of a country would be sent as an envoy. Once the envoys were brought back to their home countries, they would spread the news of China s prosperity and the Ming dynasties success in turning the land into something great once more. In addition to transporting envoys, they also granted titles onto local leaders, which made the locals respect the Ming emperor and made them want to serve him more. Zheng He was also sent on a mission to eliminate all the pirates who were causing mayhem in the Indian Ocean and the surrounding seas. Because of his success, all the towns and villages that Zheng He visited gained a favorable view of China, which is exactly what the Yongle emperor wanted. This rise in popularity was great for China s international life, as it made them seem like a wealthy and generous country that inspired others to take after their views and government. Yet once the Mongols began invading once more at the Northern walls it became clear that there was only so much money that could be spent on popularity. The voyages used up more money than they received profit. With the lopsided logic of the tribute and envoy system, China was actually losing money in the process. This was enough reason to shut ... He only comes into riches so that he can fulfill his true dream, Daisy. Gatsby s personal dream symbolizes the larger American Dream where all have the opportunity to get what they want. Gatsby won t rest until his dream is finally lived. However, it never comes about and he ends up paying the ultimate price for it. The idea of the American Dream has come to be focused on simple, yet somewhat unattainable things such as wealth, love, or fame. There is one thing that never changes about the American Dream; everyone desires something in life, and everyone, somehow, strives to get it. A big house, nice cars, kids, a dog, a beautiful devoted spouse, power and a ridiculous amount of money. That is the classical American Dream, at least for some. The use of the raven to symbolize an important person, Lenore symbolizing a lost loved one of the speakers, and the phrase Nights Plutonian Shore to symbolize the darkness and mysterious tone of the poem. The Raven is more than just the title of the poem, it also plays a big role in the theme of the poem. Poe says The ravens big entrance (38 40). Poe puts a lot of emphasis on the raven entering the room, which may mean that the raven is symbolizing an important person. Poe also mentions that the raven is stately and that it is mein which means that its way of acting is that of a lord or lady. Martinez point out the perspective of Practical Theology. (Part 1, 39) They also explain the purpose of Interpretive Leadership. (133) Their stories helped me understand how the circumstances challenge church leaders. (Introduction, 19) The authors focus on the continuous practice of reflective discernment, to help church leaders learn what is the idea required for a church to depend on God. (39) One of the authors named Mark mentions an instance when he as a university chaplain intern, was invited by an African American student and experienced a group prayer. Because Mark was a Scotch Irish, his initial experience of prayer in this group of students made no sense to him. Later he realized that it was the use of language that had left a different impression on Mark. Also, he felt that his own theology in comparison to one of the students named Keith who invited him was not the same. (40)The author Mark mentions that after his reflective discernment, Keith s theology started making sense to him and differences that seemed differences to him in theology, began changing. This instance, reminds me when I first visited the Evanston Vineyard, a non denominational church, which is the same church where I am serving as a Pastoral Intern. Sadly, his life deviates when Lucy turned eight and a judge assume that Mr. Dawson was not competent to care for Lucy s wellbeing. It was not until the family court realized that it was in Lucy s best interest to reside with her dad. The film shows a contrast in Sam idea of being a decent father and the perspective of the government system. The language, images, and themes used in the film to portray Sam as a childlike, lacking basic scholastic skills, who is not capable of fulfilling his parental obligations. The government only sees Sam s disability and the limitations he would place on Lucy. Sadly, the movie leaves a taste of dissatisfaction because negativity and judgement are the prominent feeling towards Sam and his situation and these judgements only enforce the idea of Sam not being a capable father. Throughout the movie, language was used as a form of limitation and segregation towards Sam. Everyone was aware that Sam had the intellectual capacity of a seven year old, which meant that he could hold primitive conversations and had minimal knowledge, through this lack of diction and knowledge it was possible for the court able to exemplify the risk of having a person with disability raise a young girl. Therefore, Euthyphro cannot state that what is holy and was approved by the gods does not mean the same thing. In like manner, his argument pushes the concept of morality. One might say that what is good is good because God says it s good. This raises the question asked by many philosophers does God love the good because it is good, or is it good because God loves it? The simple answer is God loves goodness because he is good therefore he commands goodness. All what is considered righteous to God may be found in the Bible. The word of the Bible reveals what God expects from his people. It reveals what is good in his eyes and what is considered evil. The words of the Bible portray the path of which should be followed. • 41. Noah, The Ark Builder Noah, the ark builder finds favor with God amidst destruction and evokes the trait of being loyal. This trait represents Noah s character well because he put great trust in God and did whatever he needed to do to save humanity and make sure that life for all living creatures were pleasant. Noah listened to God and understood why God felt the way he did about the world, he also played a vital role in the building of the ark that saved he, his family, and living creatures from the flood, and lastly, abided by the covenant that God made with him. Because of Noah s obedience for God throughout the flood and covenant, this paper will argue that the central character trait of Noah is loyalty. Before understanding the way in which Noah is loyal, it is important to understand where his actions are coming from. The name Lamech appears in both genealogies, the Cainite and Sethite. In contrast to Cainite Lamech, Sethite Lamech is anticipating Noah s birth as a possible solution to the problems that are brought about by sin. The verse in which Lamech names Noah (Gen 5:29) is pivotal; it looks backs to the pronouncement of divine judgement while also looking forward to Noah and his relationship with God. Adam s disobedience has sentenced humanity to hard labor and pain from which there seems to be no relief. Lamech longs that his son may bring some comfort, and he calls him Noah with this in mind. I identified the main characteristics of scripted speech and tried to emulate them in my piece. The key characteristics of instructional speech are that it uses very short, concise sentences to give directions. Long complex sentences can lead to ambiguity and confusion. Instructional speech uses simple, easy to understand vocabulary as complicated wording, jargon and terminology make instructions difficult to understand and may confuse the listener. The points must also be presented in a logical order to make them easy to follow. The audience should be addressed directly, using a fairly personal, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In my third and fourth drafts, I put the information into even smaller blocks to emphasise the succinct style of writing because I felt that it was still too difficult to follow; so I used more bullet points and used capitals, underlining and italics to emphasise key words and phrases. Also in the graphology of the piece I have used dashes in order to more effectively show where the reader would give a slight pause. An example is in a hundred compressions a minute just under two a second . In the third paragraph in particular, the sentences were too complex so having originally written them as one complex sentence in the pluperfect tense, I broke them down in to one point per sentence and put them in the present tense so that it would be easier to understand. I also changed some of the verbs that were in the present tense into the imperative form because it made the phonology sharper and clearer for the audience to hear. One example is in the sentence After you have returned to the casualty and rechecked their breathing and they are not breathing or if the likely cause of unconsciousness is trauma or drowning and they are not breathing, you now give two rescue breaths . The sentence was much too long and confusing so I changed it to When you return to the casualty re check their breathing. If they are not breathing or if the likely cause ... Leslie Knope is a lively government official who works in the Parks Department of Pawnee. Although Parks and Recreation is a comedy tv show, Leslie Knope displays insight into misogyny, sexism, gender equality and government sexual politics, particularly in an office place. Before we were aware of the cliche yet degrading storyline of girls fantasizing of finding the perfect man to marry, the media produced a majority of their films based on that specific plot. The media portrayed the woman depending on a man to sweep her off her feet and to live happily ever after. One major example is the story of Cinderella. The book ended happily ever after only when Cinderella had found her prince? Finding a man solely for living a comfortable life without any worries is in fact risky and foolish. Dependence on a man is futile because you are indeed responsible for your own life. Leslie Knope challenges this idea by focusing all of her time furthering her career and improving life in the Town of Pawnee. In no way does Leslie show any signs of achieving a happy and ...
