How To Write Analytical Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "How To Write Analytical Essay" may initially seem like a
straightforward task, but delving into the intricacies of analytical writing can reveal its inherent
challenges. The difficulty lies not only in articulating the steps and guidelines but also in
providing a comprehensive understanding of the analytical process. Crafting an essay of this
nature necessitates a profound grasp of analytical thinking, a skill that demands the ability to
dissect information, discern patterns, and draw insightful conclusions.
To successfully navigate through the complexities of this topic, one must be adept at formulating
a clear thesis statement, developing a logical structure, and integrating evidence effectively. The
challenge extends to maintaining a balance between analysis and interpretation, avoiding the
pitfall of merely summarizing information. Furthermore, a writer must exhibit a nuanced
understanding of the subject matter, employing critical thinking skills to evaluate sources, assess
arguments, and synthesize information cohesively.
Moreover, the challenge lies in fostering originality within the essay. It's not just about presenting
facts or regurgitating information but rather offering a unique perspective that adds value to the
reader's understanding. This demands creativity in thought and expression, making the writing
process more intricate.
In addition, the task involves honing language skills to convey complex ideas in a clear and
concise manner. Striking the right balance between academic formality and engaging prose can
be demanding. Proper citation and adherence to style guidelines add an extra layer of complexity.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "How To Write Analytical Essay" requires a multifaceted skill
set encompassing critical thinking, analytical prowess, creativity, and adept language use. The
challenge is not merely in elucidating the steps but in embodying the principles of analytical
writing throughout the essay.

Human Nature In Lord Of The Flies Analysis
William Golding fulfills Hobbes ideas about man with Lord of the Flies when Ralph
and Jack battle over chief authority, when Simon gets killed, and when the boys turn
savage against each other.
An example of Golding supporting Hobbes s ideas about human nature is when Jack
was trying to get the boys to vote Ralph off as chief by making his own group of
hunters. Hobbes describes man s nature to be, if any two men desire the same thing,
which... they cannot both enjoy, they become enemies; and... endeavor to destroy or
subdue one another. (Hobbes). With this quote, Hobbes is saying that if two people
were to want the same thing and it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hobbes expresses his thoughts of man as, war consisteth not in battle only, or the
act of fighting; but in a tract of time, wherein the will to contend by battle is
sufficiently known. (Hobbes). With this quote, Hobbes is saying that what makes up
the idea to go to war or battle isn t the actual fighting but the choice of going into
this state to solve problems rather than a different way. This is shown in Lord of the
Flies with the boys, Simon, and the beast. Simon was trying to warn the boys about
the beast but was confused for the beast. When the boys thought they saw the beast,
they followed Jack s chant and order to kill it. Golding writes, The beast was on its
knees in the center, its arms folded over its face. It was crying out against the
abominable noise something about a body on the hill. (Golding 152). Here, Simon
was trying to protect himself from the boys as he tried to tell the boys about his
encounter with the lord of the flies. Jack and the tribe were so occupied and
determined to kill the beast, that they didn t tell the difference between a creature and
Simon. They don t really know why they re actually killing the beast because they re
just thinking about fighting and battling. These actions are what
Immigration Trends In Australia
Alberta Immigrants and Earning Levels per Year Throughout history, human beings
have moved from one place to another. This movement was necessitated by natural
and man made calamities. These could have been war, draught, flooding, and even
diseases. However, modern day immigration is mainly driven by economic, freedom,
and safety needs. However, different parts of Canadahave attracted varying numbers
of immigrants due to economic, language, and existing populations of immigrants
from the same countries. Nonetheless, the immigrationtrends to Canada keep
changing due to government policies on security and humanitarian needs of the
applicants. Among different provinces, Alberta continues to be a favored destination
for immigrants from other countries. The current paper has been written by analyzing
government published data on immigration. By examining data from different
government arms,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The choices seem to be driven by various factors including, economic opportunities
and a substantial population from their own countries of origin among others.
Between five provinces, Ontario was the preferred province for most immigrants to
settle in 2006. It was followed by British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, and Nova
Scotia in that order. However, the preference for the different provinces apart from
Ontario differed among immigrants from different countries. For instance, in 2006,
no Kenyan immigrants settled in Quebec. This can be due to the fact that Kenya as a
former British colony has adopted English as the official language. This would make
the French speaking Quebec province a hard place for them to settle due to language
barriers. However, among Italian immigrants, Quebec was the second choice after
Ontario (Government of Canada [CIC], 2014). Nonetheless, Quebec continues to see
the least number of immigrants from other non French speaking
Compare And Contrast Inca And Aztecs
The Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans all held similar qualities but had their own defining
differences as well. The Aztecs live in Central America, Mexico from 1200 to 1521
with their capitol located in Tenochtitlan. The Mayans lived in Central America from
400B.C. to 1517 A.D. with their capitals being tikal, Chichen Itza, Copan, Palenque,
and Mayapan. The Inca lived in South America during 1200 to 1572 with their capital
in Cuzco. While the Mayans existed much longer than either the Incas or the Aztecs,
all three were located in the Americas. Each of these societies economies for the
Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans, the Aztecs farm corn, beans, tomatoes, squash on

Research Paper On Telescope
Telescopes have the ability to see objects from thousands of miles away in space,
but how do they work? Truth is, telescopes come in many shapes and sizes, and
they range from the little plastic tube that you can buy at the toy store for $2 to the
Hubble Space Telescope. On the middle end of the spectrum, you have amateur
telescopes that fit in the middle, and while they are not as powerful as the Hubble,
they can still accomplish incredible things like read the writing on a dime from
more than 150 feet away. When it comes to the amateur telescopes of today, you
have two types: a refractor telescope and a reflector telescope.
The Two Telescopes
Instead of using lenses, the reflector telescope uses mirrors while the refractor
telescope uses glass lenses. They both accomplish the same thing, but they do it in
different ways. To understand... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The aperture gathers light, and the larger your aperture, the more light that your
telescope can collect and bring into focus. The more light that you have, the brighter
the final image will be. How does a telescope magnify things? A telescopes ability to
magnify images will depend on the lenses and the combinations that are used. The
eyepiece will perform a magnification, and that magnification can achieved with
almost all telescopes.
Why Can t the Eye See Objects at a Distance?
While human eyes do have the ability to see for long distances, most of it will
appear to be a tiny point in the sky. For example, humans can see the Andromeda
Galaxy, which is more than 2.5 million light years away, but even in a massive
galaxy like Andromeda, it appears as a tiny point in the sky to the naked eye. As an
object gets further away, the harder will be to see, but that is why telescopes have
proven an invaluable tool for exploring the known universe.

The Outsiders In The Outsiders By S. E Hinton
The book The Outsiders by S.E Hinton, Ponyboy forms a different identity
throughout the book. At the beginning of the book, Ponyboy s identity is an
outsider to the greasers and to his community. He does different things, like watch
movies without being disturbing, he s good in school and he likes to read books.
Out of the gang Ponyboy didn t have friends. His gang doesn t read books or watch
movies like he does. The greasers just work hard and long on cars at gas stations.
Ponyboy has potential though, he is smart. Ponyboy s identity is different then the
the others in his gang. On page 2, it says, When I see a movie with someone it s
kind of uncomfortable, like having someone read your book over your shoulder. I
m different that way. He felt like he was an outsider to everyone because he was
different. People in his gang had gone to jail and Ponyboy stayed good, different.
In the text Doing the Right Thing, four football players are different than other
people. They did the right thing when others would ve stolen. They acted different,
like Ponyboy. They text said, Thomas James pulled out $5 to cover the batteries
and a video cord they needed, waved it at the surveillance camera above the cash
register and laid it on the counter... One of them took 80 cents out of his pocket and
laid it on the counter too. Tax. The four football players acted differently then how
people normally do. Like Ponyboy they don t act the same, they are good. Ponyboy s

Charles Darwin s Finch On The Galapagos Islands
Evolution is often thought to only take place over the course of millions of years.
Because of this, it is commonly believed that it is impossible to observe evolution
within a human lifetime. However, two scientists were able to observe evolution
taking place over the course of only a few years. Peter and Rosemary Grant studied
the birds named after Charles Darwin that live on the Galapagos Islands. Darwin was
able to study these finches and develop his theory of natural selection from his
observations. The finches on the Galapagos Islands all evolved separately from each
other and adapted to their unique environments. The different species of finch on the
Islands developed different characteristics over time to fit into their niche in the

Freud Jennings Gender Stereotypes
Girls do this; boys do that. From a very young age, children are taught what they
can and cannot do solely based on their gender. We are told what we can and
cannot like. Society has set up expectations and rules that we must follow, referred
to as gender stereotypes. With each generation these stereotypes become stronger
and stronger. Those who do not obey these stereotypes are called names and picked
on. But society has never told us what happens when someone does not fit this
mold. We have never been instructed on what to do if someone does not like what
they are supposed to like, when someone does not do what they are supposed to do.

that it is uncontrollable. A transgender individual cannot erase their condition or
make it go away. Life is made to be so much more challenging for them because of
society. Due to personal and religious beliefs, many people frown upon those with
Gender Dysphoria. For others, it is a very abstract concept, and they fear transgender
people because they are different. But society s thoughts are leaving a very negative

Examples Of Negative Teacher Student Relationship
TEACHER STUDENT RELATIONSHIP Teacher student relationship is one of the
most powerful elements within the learning environment. The teacher student
relationship is like a bridge that connects knowledge, experience and efficiency of a
teacher to bring out the potentiality of a student with his or her aspirations. It is the
relationships that teachers develop with their students as teachers have an important
role in a student s academic growth. The quality of teacher student relationship is the
keystone for all aspects of classroom management. (Marzano and ,Marzano, 2003)
There are two types of teacher student relationship. They are positive teacher student
relationship and negative teacher student relationship. The positive teacher student
relationships enable students to feel safe and secure in their learning environments
and provide support for important social and academic skills (Baker et al., 2008;...

Do I have enough money to retire? As the wave of boomers approach retirement, this
is the question on the minds of many. But, how do you find an answer to this most
important, but complex of questions? Will a refrigerator crate over an urban heating
grate be your version of condo living in retirement or will you thrive? There is a lot
written on this topic, but how do you put the pieces together to get an answer for you?
As I have attempted to come to grips with this issue in my own retirement planning,
I have identified five steps. Follow these steps and you should have a sense of
whether you have the financial resources to retire:
STEP #1: Determine your retirement income:
Social Security: The Social Security Administration can provide an estimate of your
retirement benefits. Get an estimate of your benefits at the ssa.gov/estimator/ website.
Pension Benefits: Pensions are becoming less frequent these days. If your current
employer offers a pension plan, contact your Human Resources Department
Henry David Thoreau s Life And Accomplishments
Henry David Thoreau was born in mid July of 1817, in Concord, Massachusetts.
Henry s family was rather modest and his father was employed as a pencil maker.
Henry David Thoreau was born with a legal name David Henry Thoreau, in memory
of his recently deceased uncle, David Thoreau. Although Henry never legally
petitioned to change his name, he began referring to himself as Henry after he had
finished college.
Henry David Thoreau was enrolled in the Harvard College from 1833 to 1837. Henry
studied various courses in rhetoric, classics, philosophy, mathematics and science.
However, in 1835, Henry took a hiatus from Harvard College, and taught school in
Canton, Massachusetts. After his return to Harvard and sequential graduation, Henry

Visual anthropology is the practice of anthropology by using visual medium with the
study and production of ethnographic photography, film and, new media in culture
and society. The course anthropology of film is great starter for prospective
anthropologists and scholars to learn and develop the skills they need in the field of
anthropology. If there is anything that is important, it is the context of the research. In
this course, we also watched over ten films both anthropological and non
anthropological with ethnographic features. By watching both anthropological and
non anthropological films, I was able to observe and analyze each film in an ethical
manner. For instance, some of the films that we watched includes: Nanook of the
North, Born into Brothels, Les Maitres Fous and Kypseli, A Divided Reality:Men and
Women Apart. Each the films listed above may have faults, but they all had some
form of anthropological element. Firstly, Richard Flaherty s work Nanook of the
North portrayed qualities of an ethnographic film, although Flaherty was not an
anthropologist. According to Ruby, Flaherty not only behaved like an anthropologist,
but his field methods, his stated intentions, and his willingness to be
methodologically explicit place him more solidly within orthodox anthropology than
do the actions of most of the contemporary self professed ethnographic filmmakers
(Ruby 2000, 86). That is to say, by displaying ethnographic details in his film, the use

According to Young (2014), an effective learningenvironment is an environment
[that] provides relevant content, clear learning goals and feedback, opportunities to
build social skills, and strategies to help students succeed . Arbaugh (2000) stated that
instructor(s) effort to create an interactive classroom environment was one of the
most important factors in a classroom environment. Other important aspects to
consider for online higher education classes are how difficult the software course is,
the flexibility of the classroom environment online, and occasionally technological
sophistication is required for ultimate classroom efficacy (Arbaugh, 2000). In an
effective classroom environment, an interesting two parallel process takes place:
there is a transformation in the students into active reflective learners, while both the
students and teachers, through engaging more with technology, become better digital
citizens (Office of Academic Planning and Assessment, n.d), thus this a component
that online classroom environments should try to emulate to reach their effective
potential. Essentially, the accessibility of online classroom, frequency of classes,
consistency of curriculum with digital resources, and pedagogy are some of the most
critical aspects found in effective classroom environments (Office of Academic
Planning and Assessment, n.d; Allan and Clarke, 2007; Arbaugh, 2000). Moreover, a
study conducted by the University of Alberta (Garrison, D., Anderson, T. Archer, W.;
1999) found that there are three elements essential to an education transaction :
cognitive presence, social presence, and teach presence. Furthermore, Allan and
Clarke (2007) stated that the most conducive learning environments include the
following three: the skill oriented outcomes that are expected of
Allusions In Goblin Market
During the Victorian Age, many poets discreetly included Christian values in their
works because the time between 1850 and 1870, was a time of the greatest challenge
to traditional religious belief. Christina Rossetti worried about the Christian virtues
of, faith, hope, and charity, the rest of the world was worried about material
prosperity, business, and the joy that the money they had could buy them. In 1859
Christina Rossetti s poem, Goblin Market, there is a strong parallel to Christianity,
with it s allusions to many different biblical themes. This children s story has many
hidden sexual and religious images that go deeper than the reader s initial thoughts of
the poem. Christina Rossetti does a great job of carefully placing... Show more

Giving women a shot at managerial jobs before stereotyping could be a milestone for
this situation.
A.Women have more leader attributes than people expect. One of the many
qualifications of a leader is to be a good listener, and we all know women prevail in
this matter.
1.We have all realized over time that women are amazing listeners and
conversationalists. Kip Tindell, CEO of Container Store believes that communication
is the basic need for conscious capitalism.
2.Women already in managerial jobs know one thing men do not, and that is how to
prevail in situations where the odds are against them.
3.Women have a skill men seem to lack and that is emotion. With emotion women
can connect on personal levels with their employees and motivate them to give the
best they are capable of.
B.Women leaders have shown to be the best in their positions and worthy of great

Comparing Mask And I Too, Sing America
In the generation that we live in today, everyone has gone through some hardships
that they had or are going through. To get through those hardships, that certain
individual may need that one song that will lift their spirits and give them the right
motivation to prosper. In class we can discuss two poems in particular, I Too, Sing
America written by famous poet Langston Hughes and We Wear the Mask written by
Paul Laurence Dunbar. The similarities between the two brings the upmost feeling of
hope and that at the end of every tunnel there is light, therefore; there is no need to
give up. To correctly compare the two, the song Just Stand Up sang by multiple well
known female artists. The female artist that beautifully sang this song was Beyonce,...

Race is the ultimate mask in Dunbar s poem, simply because the world only sees
the social stereotypes and stigmas associated with it (We Wear). This means that
race is just what is seen on the outside, but what really seems to matter is what is
behind that mask. The line that really stands out from the rest is We wear the mask
that grins and lies, it hides out cheeks ad shades our eyes (1 2). These masks that
we so wear do not tell how we are feeling, express the pain that we are going
through, or show the happiness that we so enjoy. A mask is a mask for one reason
only, to hide. By it being a tool to hide, it lies. The words those cheeks and eyes are
the real instruments of our identity and if they re hidden (We Mask). When they are
hidden nothing honest comes from it. To correlate this poem to the song Just Stand
Up that us as a society must not hide whom we are, but stand up and be strong with
any obstacle that has been thrown our way. That it is okay to show how you really
feel. The lines from the song you ain t gotta find no hiding place (The Meaning) says
just that. Do not hide, be yourself, and through it all, just stand
The Dark Side Of Zombies
Darkness devoured everything in sight. A sea of lifeless moans crashed into the
walls that kept me prisoner. I could feel the hot breath of those creatures seeping
through the walls. Paranoia invaded my brain like the disease that infested those
monsters. They were constantly trying to get in. They knew I was here, I was a
meal trapped in a cage and every intake of breath was a ring of the dinner bell.
Suddenly the snaps of rotting wood punched my ear drum. The snarling monsters
came tumbling through the gaps, their twisting bodies shuffling towards me. As their
outstretched limbs searched for my flesh I was ripped away by the ring of a phone.
The television had sucked me in once again. Casting me in the middle of the fictitious
apocalypse. The concept of zombies has always been a welcomed thought to me but
why? Why am I and other humans fascinated with the thought of this life threatening
concept? These creatures are known by many names. The undead, zombies, even the
popular tv show The Walking Dead refers to them as walkers. Within history we find
that the term zombiecomes from Haitian folklore where corpse reanimation was
achieved mostly through magic. In recent times radiation, mental disease, scientific
accidents, etc. attribute to this reanimation.
HISTORY
The idea of zombies can be traced all the way back to 8th century. Voodoo priests
used black magic to possess their victims or so they say. They actually applied a
deadly poison from a porcupine fish known as

Mark Twain s A True Story Essay
A True Story and How it Addresses the Rhetoric of Race
As one of the great American authors, Mark Twain is recognized for his unique
contributions as a writer, one of them being his involvements in the racial debates
during the 19th and 20th centuries. Some of his works such as an excerpt from his
Autobiography, stories from The Celebrated Jumping Frog from Calavaras County ,
Buck Fanshawe s funeral and A True Story have been particularly included in the
selections of The Heath Anthology of American Literature to illustrate the nature of
The American Society and its issue with race during the 19th and 20th centuries
(Lauter 408). In A True Story , Mark Twain writes about the accounts of an elderly
African American woman as told to him by an ex slave that had previously worked
at his sister in law s plantation. A True Story is more than a fascinating tale of an
old black woman with a nature for being jovial; it shows Twain s unique way of
addressing racial legacies of the Civil War and Reconstruction through literature.
Twain s short story which is titled in full as A True Story, Repeated Word for Word
as I heard it is a tale about Aunt Rachel, an African American woman who recalls her
ordeals of hardship and torment while leading a life of slavery. The story begins as
Aunt Rachel is seated on the front porch with the children under her care. To the
children, Aunt Rachel cuts across as being very happy and without troubles and so
one child proceeds to ask her why
Analysis Of A Beautiful Mind
I chose the film A Beautiful Mind produced in 2001.
The main character is John Forbes Nash, Jr. portrayed by Russell Crowe.
The heart, not the mind is where the true meaning of life is found. A mathematical
genius who is fixated on finding an original idea to ensure his legacy embarks on a
mission with the belief that mathematics will lead him to a higher truth. I cannot
waste time with these classes and these books, memorizing the weak assumptions of
lesser mortals. I need to look through to the governing dynamics. Find a truly
original idea. That s the only way I ll ever distinguish myself. It s the only way that I
ll ever [matter].
An inspiring journey to self awareness and a first hand look inside the mind of a man
that struggles with love, solitude, desperation, determination and delusions. In A
Beautiful Mind is where you will see how real, and how completely supportable the
delusions of a schizophrenic appear to the person afflicted. Genius and schizophrenia
can both exist in the same personality. He had been looking for the meaning of life in
the logic of the mind and reason, but found it rather in the logic of the heart and the
love of another human being.
Very rarely will a film allow us to observe mental illness such as schizophrenia from
inside the mind of the afflicted. A Beautiful Mind does this very well by appealing to
our moral sense. Throughout the first half of the film, we are introduced to characters
and situations that we are led to
Montaigne And Machiavelli Mission Analysis
Montaigne and Machiavelli s Mission
Michel de Montaigne and NiccolГІ Machiavelli were revolutionary philosophers
searching to understand human nature. Michel de Montaigne was a cultural relativist
who believed no man was more savage than the next whereas Machiavelli believed
everyman was savage and would do whatever it takes to achieve personal gain. Even
though these revolutionary thinkers took very different approaches to addressing
human nature they both showed traits of being enlightened monarchs and great
thinkers who knew the power belongs to the people rather than the monarch. Michel
de Montaigne and NiccolГІ Machiavelli were great leaders of their time but they
knew most leaders and monarchs during European expansion were corrupt and
viewed themselves above others. The elevated thinkers published many great works
such as On the Cannibals or The Prince that were in a way guidebooks for men of
the time depicting what they believed. Even though the men are nearly 100 years
apart their humanistic beliefs on personal gain and expansion were revolutionary.
You can see connections betwixt the two men s theory s beginning with how they
addressed the savage man. Michel de Montaigne used his experience with the
cannibal people of Brazil to persuade people that the only way to understand a culture
is to look at it through the eyes of that culture. Montaigne was one of the first
philosophers to push the theory of cultural relativism and believed people shouldn t
judge cultures
Forgive Himself In Tsunami s The Seventh Man
Why should the narrator of The Seventh Man, should forgive himself for the lost
life of K? Others may say it should be his responsibility to save K because of his
impediment of some sort, he was younger and that he had the responsibility of K
down by the beach because he was the one who was taking him down there. But in
reality he should forgive himself, this occurrence of a death was not his fault but the
Tsunamithat came to their hometown and is harming him from moving on and trying
to have a good life after the time of death, to live for K.

The narrator had done everything he could as a young child to make K be
protected, smart, and loved as a brother. Although when they had gone down to the
beach he tried everything he could to save K s life without jeopardizing his own
life too much. I m getting out of here! I yelled to K squatting down looking at
something..I was sure I yelled loud enough, but my voice did not seem to have
reached him (Murakami 134). This narrator had tried but he knew the waves were
planning to grab him so he had to get out of there. Just like in the story The Moral
of Survivor Guilt, by Nancy Sherman, the returning war veterans need to forgive
themselves for the sense of responsibility for the death of their fellow soldiers.
Captain Bonenberger said. When we were in trouble Jeremiah Pulaski was there
for us. But when he was in trouble he was all alone. I know it s not rational or
reasonable. There is nothing logical about it, I feel responsible (Sherman 152). This
feeling the Captain is feeling and what the Narrator in The Seventh Man, feels is
very unreasonable to me, you care deeply about your peers and friends but when it
comes to putting your own life on the line, is it really
In The Amazon Rainforest
Crash! There goes another tree, plummeting down to the Earth, in the Amazon
rainforest. There goes less oxygen we breath everyday. There goes another living
thing. The Amazon rainforest is suffering, and as the rainforest suffers, so do we.
Business people usually don t care about the Amazon, and, probably, use paper made
from the rainforesttrees, but that s because they didn t do their research in middle
school. Some people say that the Amazon rainforestare the lungs of the Earth, but
they could also be the heart as well. If we don t save this rainforest, then our planet,
along with us, with scourge gravely. Some people are burning the rainforest. The
reason they do this is to make their land fertile with the ash from the trees. In the
article, In The Amazon s Fire Season, You Either Burn or You Starve, they say, The
ash from the burned trees is the only way to make the land fertile, . . . To

The duties and roles that have to be carried out by a resource developer are
explained by the figure above. Individual needs of every student have to be
identified and plans have to be developed in order to satisfy the learning needs of
all learners. The next step is to design the resources according to the individual
needs that are identified and deliver those resources to the learners. Once the task in
completed by the learners the resource developer then can assess their performance
which will automatically enable the resource developed to identify the effectiveness
of his resources. According to the information given by Turkish online journal of
education technology (2009), two student groups are surveyed where one group of
students provided with the lower level of teaching resources while second group of
students are provided with the higher level of teaching resources. The surveys
identified that the students who are provided with higher level of teaching resources
have got much more positive outcome comparing to the other group of students. We
have found that when technologies are thoughtfully integrated with a sound
pedagogical vision, students views of teaching and approaches to learning can be
positively affected. The LeTUS report series (2003) also shows how important it is

Cirrhosis And Its Effect On The Body Essay
Every year people from different age groups are diagnosed with cirrhosis or any
other disease in the United States. Liver is an important organ just like the rest of
the organs inside our body especially for the digestive system. The liver has to be
healthy to do many important functions for example, blood clotting, digesting food
using bile duct, and many more duties. People may develop cirrhosisdifferently
because their bodies react very different on how it may develop. Developing the
disease cirrhosis in the liverwill weaken the body and how it is not going to function
properly anymore. Scarring tissue usually develops in the liver and because of the
worn out tissue it will not allow the blood flow for the liver to work. Cirrhosis
affects the body in which in some cases leads to the development in liver cancer
later on in life or any other disease. When cirrhosis sometimes takes its toll really
fast in the liver then that is definitely a different story. Cirrhosis starts with a cause in
which people develop signs and symptoms, receive treatment, they get tested to
confirm the disease, and there are preventions for those people who do not want to
develop cirrhosis in the near future.
The cause of cirrhosis is do to a factor or many factors for many people. Cirrhosis
maybe caused by an excessive consumption of alcohol for many years, chronic
hepatitis B or C, fat in the liver, and other causes as well ( Cirrhosis 1). In addition,
more causes are nonalcoholic
The Right Of Free Speech
Throughout American history, the foundation on which American democratic
principles are based, has been repeatedly tested. In the 1700s, the right of free
speech was challenged when President John Adams proposed the Alien and Sedition
Acts. Adams attempted to stop the Democratic Republicans such as Thomas
Jefferson, from criticizing government decisions. Similarly, during the Civil War
President Abraham Lincoln challenged freedom of the press when he took action to
restrict the printing of military news. Lincoln ordered his generals in the field to
control the press and crack down on speech critical of his administration to limit
dissent against the war effort. However, one historical era stands out as a decidedly
pivotal test of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Twentieth century U.S. history saw two major episodes of repression and violence
against communists and leftist radicals, that occurred approximately three decades
apart. During the early part of the 1920s, America entered its first period of extreme
anti communist sentiment, the First Red Scare. After the successful Bolshevik
Revolution in Russia in 1917, American citizens began to fear the threat of
communist influence at home. At the end of WWI, American workers unhappy with
wages and spiralling inflation, launched widespread sometimes violent strikes with
the support of growing labor unions. Some of these unions called for government
takeover of private industries. For instance, railroad workers called for the national
government to take permanent control of the railroad system. The growing waves
strikes signalled a period of extreme civil unrest; American citizens became
frightened that they would face a revolution similar to the one that had just taken
place in Russia. In response, Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer, in an effort to
gain the attention of American voters to support his presidential aspirations, launched
a nationwide crusade against anyone he identified as having leftist views. Under
Palmer s leadership, thousands of Americans were arrested for taking part in alleged
subversion, and thousands of others were stripped of their civil liberties. In violation

The Ethics Of The Body
... the subject is something which is finally identified to the body as such. So the
subjective creation as a sort of paradigm is only experimentation of the limits of the
body. The subject is something like an experience of its proper limits, an experience
of finitude, an experience of the limits of the concrete unity of the body. But finally,
what is a limit of the body, a limit of the living body?
The plenary discussions on corporeality always reconstruct the perception of the
body and aim to see the beyond of the body besides it is an entity as a concrete
being with flesh and bones. The studies and works based on the notion that is what
the body which analyze the psychological and philosophical (and also
anthropological and sociological) approaches to the concept of the body over hand
painted portraits to mug shots, personal care methods to collective protection
theories, the sexuality as a study of psychology not through morality are all creating a
various worldview and also attempt an alternative definition on the perception of the
body.
Many disciplines intervene when the research topic is on the concept of the body; as
the sensations, the techniques of the bodily movements, the consumption or the
expression styles have been investigated, methods and studies of the epistemology are
getting varied as required. As well, the developing studies on the gender and identity
cannot be considered without consulting the studies on the history of thinking about

Macbeth Vs Lady Macbeth
Lady Macbeth is filled evil schemes, and knows how to achieve her goal of getting
her husband into the kingly position. Lady Macbeth is very convincing in her
ideas, and does not leave a lot of space to think otherwise. Macbeth is not left much
choice but to conform himself to his wife s mischievous strategy to get him to
become king. He is very loyal, and wants to remain so to his king even knowing he
would become king if Duncan, the present king, were to die. Lady Macbeth,
however, has other plans for Macbeth, and she soon has him convinced to commit
an act which will change their lives forever. Macbeth and his wife are truly
opposite people, as Macbeth is laid back and easy going, while Lady Macbeth
wants everything planned out and will go onward with plans no matter who they
affect. She truly does make Macbeth a more interesting person through her evil
schemes. I have given suck, and know how tender tis to love the babe that milks
me. I would, while it was smiling in my face, have plucked my nipple from his
boneless gums, and dashed the brains out had so sworn as you have done to this
(Shakespeare, 44). Lady Macbeth is telling Macbeth that he must go forward with
his intent of killing Duncan while he sleeps. She explains to him that she would be
so courageous as to tear her baby away from her and kill it while it was smiling at
her if she had promised to do so. The fact that Lady Macbeth would be able to
commit such an act in a tender moment as nursing her child
An Example Of Perseverance In Warriors Don T Cry
How many times in life have you struggled but got through a difficult time? That is
called perseverance. The definition of perseverance is Steadfastness in doing
something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Synonyms are
persistence and determination. It originated from the latin word perseverare.
Right now the world has been filled with natural disasters, from hurricanes to
wildfires. Everyone that this affected has been forced to persevere through it
because there is not much that they have the ability to do besides staying strong. In
all of the nonfiction literature we have read there were many different examples of
perseverance from many different people. I decided to choose three. For my first
example Melba Pattillo Beals from Warriors Don t Cry . There is numerous
examples of the Little Rock 9 and her doing something despite difficulty. For the
second example of perseverance I chose Maya Angelou. Through her life there
were countless times that she was faced adversity and still achieved success. My
third example is Earl Simmons (DMX) from the book E.A.R.L . He went through a
tough time at almost all time growing up and he never gave up and achieved
success. Perseverance creates success; therefore, when you stick through something
you can accomplish what you want. In the book Warriors Don t Cry Melba Pattillo
Beals and the rest of the Little Rock 9 were faced with racism as they were trying to
go to a all white school. They all had courage

Fourth Ward School Analysis
Within historic Virginia City resides the Fourth Ward School, a building
constructed in 1874. When it was built, Virginia City was booming with a
population of approximately twenty two thousand people. Virginia City at the time
wanted to show off some of its pride as a city with a new four story school. As the
school today is so very old and has a history, people running the museum have to
balance keeping the place funded and staying historically true. Today, the museum
has lost much of its historical authenticity and has taken on more of a museum s role,
rather than a historical building role. However, that does not diminish the education
potential the Fourth Ward School still has.

This comes from the fact that the Fourth Ward School has undergone massive
reconstruction since its desertion in 1936. That does not take away from the fact
that the school looks to be authentic, like it was just preserved. This adds to its
efficiency to educate as few museums can also claim to be a historical building and
show history visually. Even if the school is entirely re created, with the vast sum of
knowledge on the school, we can recreate it masterfully so that everyone can still
learn and enjoy being in a historical building that is the last of its kind. The Fourth
Ward School blends the needs of historic preservation well with the needs of a
modern museum. It is likely that as time goes on, the needs of the museum will
outweigh the needs of historical

The Well Established Quality Improvement Method
The well established quality improvement method, response surface methodology
(RSM), is a powerful and efficient technique to find an optimum operating condition
of a response including systematic and continuous steps in the quality engineering
literature. The RSM combines both optimization and statistical methods for
designing, analyzing, modelling, and solving an optimal controllable factor setting in
many engineering applications to seek a second order fitted model for the response
with three main properties, such as a sequential, efficient and flexible design. The
rotatability concept is also taken into consideration the design criterion in the RSM to
provide the prediction variance assumption in the bounded convex design space and it

Robust parameter design (RPD), which combines the RSM and optimization
techniques in the context of mathematical programming methods to obtain a
desired response by using quality characteristics, such as the nominal the best (N
type), the larger the best (L type) or the smaller the best (S type) types, have been
paid a lot of attention to the research community for finding continuous valued
variables. The RPD was originally proposed as the N type quality characteristic in
the context of the signal to noise (SNR) by Taguchi (1987). Taguchi s fundamental
idea is that the process mean is at the desired target value while the process
variance is as small as possible. On the other hand, Leon et al. (1987), Box (1988),
Box et al. (1988), Nair (1992), and Tsui (1992) discussed Taguchi s main idea and
criticized the quality characteristics involving both the mean and variance of the
response. Steinberg and Bursztyn (1998) also debated a wide spectrum investigation
on the Taguchi s offline quality controlmethod. In addition to these, Grize (1995) and
Robinson et al. (2004), Park et al. (2006) and Arvidsson and Gremyr (2008) also
provided reviews of the RPD models.
In addition to Taguchi s RPD model, Vining and Myers (1990) proposed an RPD
model combining with the RSM by using the dual response model (DRM) with the
zero bias approach, and they also incorporated Lagrange multiplier, quadratic
Relationship Between Inter Firm Learning
already own those traits and share them with the client. However, incorporating
performance attributes must be measured to ensure learning is effective. Therefore,
inter firm learning is crucial to business relationships success and future competition.
Inter Firm Learning for Partner Success Corporations nowadays partner with each

themselves (Mohr Sengupta, 2002). When businesses join in cohesive collaboration,
each party begins to absorb each other s knowledge and skills internally to acquire

brings success in business partnerships if organizations select a project that offer
innovative benefits that peak each partner s interests, selecting a partner which suits
the company s style of the business, and managing joint projects which lead to
developing a competence in working with others (Dickson, Coles, Lawton Smith,
1997). Inter Firm Learning Promoted Although partners learn from each other
through alliances, promoting inter firm learning happens when all participants
acknowledge a number of critical factors that help or hinder collaboration (Dickson et
al., 1997). Compatibility is a critical factor when companies decide to join with one
another, and management on both sides examine if the partnership will deliver
desired results (Dickson et al., 1997). Although partnering with businesses that offer

For several decades, literature has suggested that multinational corporations (MCNs),
transnational corporations (TNCs), and or international business companies (IBCs),

(Tirimba Macharia, 2014; Bouquet Birkinshaw, 2008; Fuchs, 2007; Cohen, 2007;

These business organizations conduct operations in many countries around the world,

Additionally, Aleksic (2013) wrote the article How Organizations Achieve Longevity

Profit Based Payments And Financial Asset
Introduction
Share based payments are one of the popular way to compensate executives,
directors and other senior management employees. Some companies are also paying
its suppliers and professional by issuing options or shares. IFRS 2 was introduced to
define the way a company should account these transactions. It was initially
implemented in January 2005 and has been amended several times.
According to IFRS 2, share based payments are applied when a company acquires or
receives goods and services such as inventory, property, plant, equipment, and other
non financial asset for equity based payments. The entity should recognize a
corresponding increase in equity if goods are received under equity settled share
based payment transaction or record a corresponding liability if goods or services
are received under in cash settled share based transactions. However, if the goods or
services received in a share based transaction do not falls under the definition of
qualified asset then payment should be expensed.
First step is determining whether a transaction falls under share based payment.
According to IFRS 2, not all transactions, which include share based payments, are
covered by IFRS 2. For example, IFRS 2 does not cover following transactions:
Transactions with shareholders that are acting in their capacity
Shares issued in a business combination are not considered as share based payments.
Those transactions are handled in IFRS 3, Business Combinations.
The Importance Of Sustainable Water Practices For The...
Sustainability is the development that meets the needs of the present without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (World
Commission on Environment and Development, 1987). Water is a principal
compound for human life across the globe. Although there is of 1.4Г—109 km3 of
Water on Earth, only 0.37% of that is drinkable (Murphy, 2004). The inability to
access this clean water then causes water borne diseases, particularly in poorer
nations, such as Cambodia where only 14% of the population has access to drinkable
water (Brinkley, 2011). This is then the reasoning behind the 3.4million deaths
annually by water borne diseases within the developing world (World Health
organisation, 2001). As 70L of water/day... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some assumptions made within this report are that clean water is safely stored and

2BIO SAND FILTERS
2.1 Design
There are seven components to a biosand filter design. These are; the lid, diffuser,
sand layer, outlet tube, filter body, gravel layer and the separated gravel layer
(Cawst, 2009). All of these components all contribute to the purification of water.
The purpose of the lid is to protect the water from any external contamination. The
diffuser is a plastic sheet with holes drilled into it and protects the biolayer while
the water is being poured in (CDC, 2014). This is achieved through slowing down
the rate of the water. The third component is the sand layer and this removes any
suspended solids within the water. This is able to occur through the use of
mechanical trapping and the solids being trapped in between the grains of sand
(Cawst, 2009). The separating gravel layer is purely placed in the filter to support
the sand layer on top while the drainage gravel layer s purpose is to support the
flow of water into the outlet tube. The use of bigger rocks is used for this drainage
layer to prevent smaller rocks accessing this outlet tube (Cawst, 2009). The outlet tube
brings the water from the bottom of the
Walt Disney s Influence On The Entertainment Industry
Somehow I can t believe there are any heights that can t be scaled by a man who
knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can
be summarized in four C s. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy
and the greatest of these is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all the
way, implicitly and unquestionably. The man behind this genius statement is the one
and only Walt Disney. From rags to riches, Disney made strides in the entertainment
world that reshaped America s entertainment industry, as we know it today. From
cartoon strips to Disneyland, Walt Disney s contributions to the theatre world were
monumental and established him as one of the greatest entertainers in the... Show

When told he was too young to join the army, Walt joined the Red Cross and drove
ambulances in France.
After Walt Disney served his time in France, he came back to America and
launched his cartoon making career. In Kansas City, Disney started of working at
the Pesmen Rubin Art Studio, a job that his brother Rob got him, there; Disney
met Ubbe Eert Iwwerks known as Ub Iwerks a cartoonist who helped Disney
launch his artistic career. When Disney and Ub Iwerks joined the Kansas City
Film Ad Company, Disney s focus shifted from newspaper ads to commercials
based on cutout animation. During Disney s time at the company, he became
acquainted with cameras and hand drawn cell animations. His experience at the
Film Ad Company prompted Disney to create his own ad company with Iwerks.
Their first employee was Fred Harman, a cartoonist who was famous for his work
Red Ryder , a comic strip based of the Wild West (Reynolds 90). Disney s cartoons,
named Laugh O Grams , were a huge success. Disney was able to sign a deal with
local Kansas City theaters to show their cartoons and as a result of the cartoons
popularity, Disney was able to obtain his own studio, which was named after his
cartoons. The Laugh O Grams studio acquired many other employees and it was in
this studio that Walt Disney created, Alice in Cartoonland , a series of fairy tales that
combined live action and animation. However, the good times lasted only for a
The Seminole Essay
The Seminole
quot;As the United States is a nation made up of people from many nations, so the
Seminole is a tribe made up of Indians from many tribes. quot; (Garbarino 13) The
Seminole are the indigenous people living in southeastern America. They lived in
what is now Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and
Mississippi. The Seminole had a Muskogean language of the Hokan Siouan stock.
(Bookshelf) The Indian tribes found in the southeast were the Creek, Choctaw,
Chickasaw, Cherokee, Yuchi, Yamassee, Apalachicola, Timucua, and Calusa. The
southeastern Indians were described by the Spanish as being tall with complexions

Although these plants grow plentifully, the Seminoles lived more by hunting and
gathering. It was easier to hunt and fish because the woodlands and rivers were filled
with an abundance of game. The Indians also gathered founds that were found in the
environment, like berries, nuts, tubers, and seeds. (Seminole 626)
The jobs of gathering and growing plants were doled out to the women. They also
had to prepare and cook the food that the men obtained. Most of the time, they
baked boiled, or broiled the food. The women also preserved the food that they
collect, such as plums and persimmons. (Garbarino 17) The men usually helped
where there was heavy and intensive work to be do be done, like clearing land and
harvesting, but the men s main jobs were to hunt, fish, and battle.
(Seminole Indians 290) The men hunted animals for their hides in addition to their
meats. The most hunted for animals were: deer, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, bears,
turkeys, ducks, and geese. The Indians also ate alligator meat, turtle meat, shellfish,
and fresh and salt water fish. (Garbarino 15)
The Indians lived in villages that ranged in size from 20 to 100 houses and in
population from 100 to more than one thousand. The homes were most likely to be
built around a square or town plaza. The central area of the square was left for
ceremonial purposes. The chief s house, a meeting hall, storage building, and often

The Treatment Of Indigenous Australians
Treatment of Indigenous Australians
Indigenous Australians are the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals of
Australia, plummeted from gatherings that existed in Australia and encompassing
islands preceding European colonization. There is incredible assorted qualities
among various Indigenous people group and social orders in Australia, each with its
own particular blend of societies, traditions and dialects. In present day Australia
these gatherings are further separated into nearby communities. At the season of
starting European settlement, more than 250 dialects were talked; it is as of now
evaluated that 120 to 145 of these stay being used, and everything except 13 are
thought to be endangered. Aboriginal individuals today generally communicate in
English, with Aboriginal expressions and words being added to make Australian
Aboriginal English. Native individuals basically lived as seeker gatherers, chasing
and scavenging for sustenance from the area. Albeit Aboriginal society was by and
large versatile, or semi itinerant, moving as per the changing sustenance accessibility
found crosswise over various regions as seasons changed, the method of life and
material societies fluctuated incredibly from locale to district, and there were lasting
settlements and agriculture in a few ranges.
English colonization of Australia started with the entry of the First Fleet in Botany

Media s Influence On The Political World
The media plays a considerable role in the political world. The media gives people
access to be able to determine which political party they want to be a part of,
develop outlooks on government parties and decisions, and manage their own
personal interests. The newspaper, TV, radio, social media, and other online media,
are one of the leading factors, if not thee leading factor in political communication
and fund raising. The media s influence on the political world has shattered the mold
in terms of the way politics are shown. Mass mediahas such a powerful structure that
enables politicians to reach a large scale audience (Croteau Hoynes 2014). The
purpose of this essay is to look at how politicians use the media in order to influence
their audience as they try to validate their credibility with the public.
The influence of the media is more prominent during political campaigns because
news coverage of a single event could turn out to be the most significant factor in
putting a candidate ahead. In fact, most national political figures, plan public
appearances and statements to increase their influence throughout the media. Often
times, candidates and their consultants consume much of their time developing
strategies and plans to get the most impact on their television audience. Advertising,
management of news coverage, and campaign debates are often the types of coverage
that political candidates use. The appearance of candidates in presidential debates is
as important

How Did Mikhail Gorbachev Transform The Soviet Union
Mikhail Gorbachev
Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev was born March 2, 1931 as the son of Russian
peasants in Stavropol territory in southwestern Russia. Fifteen years later in 1946
when he was fifteen years old he joined to Komsomol which was the young
communist league and for the next four years he drove a combine harvester at a
state farm in Stavropol. Six years later he entered Moscow State Universities law
school and became a member of the Communist Party.
Mikhail Gorbachev was a Soviet official, the secretary of the Communist Party of the
Soviet Union (CPSU) from 1985 to 1991, and he was also a Soviet Union president
in 1990 1991. His plans for democratizing his country s political system and to
decentralize the economy as well, led to the downfall of communism and the Soviet
Union s breakup in 1991. In 1990 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in part
because he had ended the Soviet Union s postwar domination of eastern Europe.
Gorbachev s efforts to transform the Soviet Union in the 1980 s started by him
implementing policies that would bring about individual freedom, bureaucratic
transparency. His efforts in order ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Those same people in the Soviet Union that were at home were also preventing the
Soviet Union from having diplomatic relations with many other countries. This all
changed though after Gorbachev had introduced the Glasnost s policies. After
introducing those policies many other countries such as the U.S. had become more
willing work with and have a relation with the Soviet Union and this was huge for
them as those relations had been cut under the strict censorship s
How to be a Great Supervisor Essay
The definition of what makes a perfect supervisor will of course vary in its
definition and interpretation from person to person. However there are four main
points that most people will agree upon that makes a supervisor a cut if you will
above the rest. A supervisor should always strive to be as ethical and moral in his
decisions as possible. This will lead his subordinates to respect his decisions more
often even if they do not always agree with him. Another characteristic of a
respectable supervisor is his ability to perform even the most menial of tasks to help
gain the respect of his employees. A fundamental point of an excellent supervisor is
to not be the bossof the employees but to be the leader of the employees. The last...

While we all have been taught this when we finally ascend to the level of
supervisor something makes us want to make the people under us feel the same
way we did under our supervisor so we start to give orders and command to our
employees which reduces general morale in the company and leads to people
quitting or doing less and poorer quality work for the business. Instead of giving
orders to the employees a supervisor should work besides the employees to
complete the job or project, instead of blaming people for failures in the project
instead to work with the people who are failing to meet certain goals in the project,
find out what is preventing them from meet the appointed goals, and to rectify the
issues. The final mission if you will for a supervisor is to show his employees that
he cares for them and wants them to succeed in the company. This is one of the
quintessential but extremely hazardous thing for a supervisor to do since he has to
open up somewhat to his employees and to get emotionally attached to them but at
the same time has to be able to see what is best for the project as a whole and be
able to terminate someone he or she has grown fond of over the years or months
they have been working together. In summary the perfect supervisor in theory is
possible but in reality is never attainable. While some have come very close they
always will lack somewhat in one of these aspects. Either they will grow to attached

Symbols In The Military Propaganda
Propaganda can be seen as any information of a biased or misleading nature that is
used to promote a political point of view. The oversized warning with an
exclamation mark in a red box on the propaganda suddenly captures the reader s
mind; as the reader gazes at the propaganda they read, our homes are in danger now!
The propagandas goal is to tell the citizens of the United Stated that there homes are
in danger; the symbols used in the propagandaare two army men, one from German
and one from Japan, looking at the North America, on the globe, with warfare in there
hands. The slogan they use is, our job, keep em firing, intended for the American
workers to keep manufacturing the warfare supply. This propaganda elicit an

  • 2. Human Nature In Lord Of The Flies Analysis William Golding fulfills Hobbes ideas about man with Lord of the Flies when Ralph and Jack battle over chief authority, when Simon gets killed, and when the boys turn savage against each other. An example of Golding supporting Hobbes s ideas about human nature is when Jack was trying to get the boys to vote Ralph off as chief by making his own group of hunters. Hobbes describes man s nature to be, if any two men desire the same thing, which... they cannot both enjoy, they become enemies; and... endeavor to destroy or subdue one another. (Hobbes). Hobbes expresses his thoughts of man as, war consisteth not in battle only, or the act of fighting; but in a tract of time, wherein the will to contend by battle is sufficiently known. (Hobbes). With this quote, Hobbes is saying that what makes up the idea to go to war or battle isn t the actual fighting but the choice of going into this state to solve problems rather than a different way. This is shown in Lord of the Flies with the boys, Simon, and the beast. Simon was trying to warn the boys about the beast but was confused for the beast. When the boys thought they saw the beast, they followed Jack s chant and order to kill it. Golding writes, The beast was on its knees in the center, its arms folded over its face. It was crying out against the abominable noise something about a body on the hill. (Golding 152). Here, Simon was trying to protect himself from the boys as he tried to tell the boys about his encounter with the lord of the flies. Jack and the tribe were so occupied and determined to kill the beast, that they didn t tell the difference between a creature and Simon. They don t really know why they re actually killing the beast because they re just thinking about fighting and battling. These actions are what

However, the preference for the different provinces apart from Ontario differed among immigrants from different countries. For instance, in 2006, no Kenyan immigrants settled in Quebec. This can be due to the fact that Kenya as a former British colony has adopted English as the official language. This would make the French speaking Quebec province a hard place for them to settle due to language barriers. However, among Italian immigrants, Quebec was the second choice after Ontario (Government of Canada [CIC], 2014). Nonetheless, Quebec continues to see the least number of immigrants from other non French speaking

The eyepiece will perform a magnification, and that magnification can achieved with almost all telescopes. Why Can t the Eye See Objects at a Distance? While human eyes do have the ability to see for long distances, most of it will appear to be a tiny point in the sky. For example, humans can see the Andromeda Galaxy, which is more than 2.5 million light years away, but even in a massive galaxy like Andromeda, it appears as a tiny point in the sky to the naked eye. Visual anthropology is the practice of anthropology by using visual medium with the study and production of ethnographic photography, film and, new media in culture and society. If there is anything that is important, it is the context of the research. In this course, we also watched over ten films both anthropological and non anthropological with ethnographic features. By watching both anthropological and non anthropological films, I was able to observe and analyze each film in an ethical manner. For instance, some of the films that we watched includes: Nanook of the North, Born into Brothels, Les Maitres Fous and Kypseli, A Divided Reality:Men and Women Apart. Each the films listed above may have faults, but they all had some form of anthropological element. Firstly, Richard Flaherty s work Nanook of the North portrayed qualities of an ethnographic film, although Flaherty was not an anthropologist. According to Ruby, Flaherty not only behaved like an anthropologist, but his field methods, his stated intentions, and his willingness to be methodologically explicit place him more solidly within orthodox anthropology than do the actions of most of the contemporary self professed ethnographic filmmakers (Ruby 2000, 86). According to Young (2014), an effective learningenvironment is an environment [that] provides relevant content, clear learning goals and feedback, opportunities to build social skills, and strategies to help students succeed . Arbaugh (2000) stated that instructor(s) effort to create an interactive classroom environment was one of the most important factors in a classroom environment. Other important aspects to consider for online higher education classes are how difficult the software course is, the flexibility of the classroom environment online, and occasionally technological sophistication is required for ultimate classroom efficacy (Arbaugh, 2000). In an effective classroom environment, an interesting two parallel process takes place: there is a transformation in the students into active reflective learners, while both the students and teachers, through engaging more with technology, become better digital citizens (Office of Academic Planning and Assessment, n.d), thus this a component that online classroom environments should try to emulate to reach their effective potential. Essentially, the accessibility of online classroom, frequency of classes, consistency of curriculum with digital resources, and pedagogy are some of the most critical aspects found in effective classroom environments (Office of Academic Planning and Assessment, n.d; Allan and Clarke, 2007; Arbaugh, 2000). This means that race is just what is seen on the outside, but what really seems to matter is what is behind that mask. The line that really stands out from the rest is We wear the mask that grins and lies, it hides out cheeks ad shades our eyes (1 2). These masks that we so wear do not tell how we are feeling, express the pain that we are going through, or show the happiness that we so enjoy. A mask is a mask for one reason only, to hide. By it being a tool to hide, it lies. The words those cheeks and eyes are the real instruments of our identity and if they re hidden (We Mask). When they are hidden nothing honest comes from it. To correlate this poem to the song Just Stand Up that us as a society must not hide whom we are, but stand up and be strong with any obstacle that has been thrown our way. That it is okay to show how you really feel. The lines from the song you ain t gotta find no hiding place (The Meaning) says just that. Do not hide, be yourself, and through it all, just stand

I could feel the hot breath of those creatures seeping through the walls. Paranoia invaded my brain like the disease that infested those monsters. They were constantly trying to get in. They knew I was here, I was a meal trapped in a cage and every intake of breath was a ring of the dinner bell. Suddenly the snaps of rotting wood punched my ear drum. The snarling monsters came tumbling through the gaps, their twisting bodies shuffling towards me. As their outstretched limbs searched for my flesh I was ripped away by the ring of a phone. The television had sucked me in once again. Casting me in the middle of the fictitious apocalypse. The concept of zombies has always been a welcomed thought to me but why? Why am I and other humans fascinated with the thought of this life threatening concept? These creatures are known by many names. The undead, zombies, even the popular tv show The Walking Dead refers to them as walkers. Within history we find that the term zombiecomes from Haitian folklore where corpse reanimation was achieved mostly through magic. Mark Twain s A True Story Essay A True Story and How it Addresses the Rhetoric of Race As one of the great American authors, Mark Twain is recognized for his unique contributions as a writer, one of them being his involvements in the racial debates during the 19th and 20th centuries. Some of his works such as an excerpt from his Autobiography, stories from The Celebrated Jumping Frog from Calavaras County , Buck Fanshawe s funeral and A True Story have been particularly included in the selections of The Heath Anthology of American Literature to illustrate the nature of The American Society and its issue with race during the 19th and 20th centuries (Lauter 408). In A True Story , Mark Twain writes about the accounts of an elderly African American woman as told to him by an ex slave that had previously worked at his sister in law s plantation. A True Story is more than a fascinating tale of an old black woman with a nature for being jovial; it shows Twain s unique way of addressing racial legacies of the Civil War and Reconstruction through literature. Twain s short story which is titled in full as A True Story, Repeated Word for Word as I heard it is a tale about Aunt Rachel, an African American woman who recalls her ordeals of hardship and torment while leading a life of slavery. The story begins as Aunt Rachel is seated on the front porch with the children under her care. The heart, not the mind is where the true meaning of life is found. A mathematical genius who is fixated on finding an original idea to ensure his legacy embarks on a mission with the belief that mathematics will lead him to a higher truth. I cannot waste time with these classes and these books, memorizing the weak assumptions of lesser mortals. I need to look through to the governing dynamics. Find a truly original idea. That s the only way I ll ever distinguish myself. It s the only way that I ll ever [matter]. An inspiring journey to self awareness and a first hand look inside the mind of a man that struggles with love, solitude, desperation, determination and delusions. In A Beautiful Mind is where you will see how real, and how completely supportable the delusions of a schizophrenic appear to the person afflicted. Genius and schizophrenia can both exist in the same personality. He had been looking for the meaning of life in the logic of the mind and reason, but found it rather in the logic of the heart and the love of another human being. Very rarely will a film allow us to observe mental illness such as schizophrenia from inside the mind of the afflicted. A Beautiful Mind does this very well by appealing to our moral sense. Throughout the first half of the film, we are introduced to characters and situations that we are led to

Montaigne And Machiavelli Mission Analysis Montaigne and Machiavelli s Mission Michel de Montaigne and NiccolГІ Machiavelli were revolutionary philosophers searching to understand human nature. Michel de Montaigne was a cultural relativist who believed no man was more savage than the next whereas Machiavelli believed everyman was savage and would do whatever it takes to achieve personal gain. Even though these revolutionary thinkers took very different approaches to addressing human nature they both showed traits of being enlightened monarchs and great thinkers who knew the power belongs to the people rather than the monarch. Michel de Montaigne and NiccolГІ Machiavelli were great leaders of their time but they knew most leaders and monarchs during European expansion were corrupt and viewed themselves above others. The elevated thinkers published many great works such as On the Cannibals or The Prince that were in a way guidebooks for men of the time depicting what they believed. Even though the men are nearly 100 years apart their humanistic beliefs on personal gain and expansion were revolutionary. You can see connections betwixt the two men s theory s beginning with how they addressed the savage man. Michel de Montaigne used his experience with the cannibal people of Brazil to persuade people that the only way to understand a culture is to look at it through the eyes of that culture. Montaigne was one of the first philosophers to push the theory of cultural relativism and believed people shouldn t judge cultures

Once the task in completed by the learners the resource developer then can assess their performance which will automatically enable the resource developed to identify the effectiveness of his resources. Twentieth century U.S. history saw two major episodes of repression and violence against communists and leftist radicals, that occurred approximately three decades apart. During the early part of the 1920s, America entered its first period of extreme anti communist sentiment, the First Red Scare. After the successful Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917, American citizens began to fear the threat of communist influence at home. At the end of WWI, American workers unhappy with wages and spiralling inflation, launched widespread sometimes violent strikes with the support of growing labor unions. Some of these unions called for government takeover of private industries. For instance, railroad workers called for the national government to take permanent control of the railroad system. The growing waves strikes signalled a period of extreme civil unrest; American citizens became frightened that they would face a revolution similar to the one that had just taken place in Russia. In response, Attorney General A. The definition of perseverance is Steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Synonyms are persistence and determination. It originated from the latin word perseverare. Right now the world has been filled with natural disasters, from hurricanes to wildfires. Everyone that this affected has been forced to persevere through it because there is not much that they have the ability to do besides staying strong. In all of the nonfiction literature we have read there were many different examples of perseverance from many different people. I decided to choose three. For my first example Melba Pattillo Beals from Warriors Don t Cry . There is numerous examples of the Little Rock 9 and her doing something despite difficulty. For the second example of perseverance I chose Maya Angelou. Through her life there were countless times that she was faced adversity and still achieved success. My third example is Earl Simmons (DMX) from the book E.A.R.L . He went through a tough time at almost all time growing up and he never gave up and achieved success. Perseverance creates success; therefore, when you stick through something you can accomplish what you want. In the book Warriors Don t Cry Melba Pattillo Beals and the rest of the Little Rock 9 were faced with racism as they were trying to go to a all white school. They all had courage

The RPD was originally proposed as the N type quality characteristic in the context of the signal to noise (SNR) by Taguchi (1987). Taguchi s fundamental idea is that the process mean is at the desired target value while the process variance is as small as possible. On the other hand, Leon et al. (1987), Box (1988), Box et al. Sustainability is the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (World Commission on Environment and Development, 1987). These are; the lid, diffuser, sand layer, outlet tube, filter body, gravel layer and the separated gravel layer (Cawst, 2009). All of these components all contribute to the purification of water. The purpose of the lid is to protect the water from any external contamination. The diffuser is a plastic sheet with holes drilled into it and protects the biolayer while the water is being poured in (CDC, 2014). This is achieved through slowing down the rate of the water. The third component is the sand layer and this removes any suspended solids within the water. This is able to occur through the use of mechanical trapping and the solids being trapped in between the grains of sand (Cawst, 2009). The separating gravel layer is purely placed in the filter to support the sand layer on top while the drainage gravel layer s purpose is to support the flow of water into the outlet tube. The use of bigger rocks is used for this drainage layer to prevent smaller rocks accessing this outlet tube (Cawst, 2009). The outlet tube brings the water from the bottom of the
