Irvine Welsh s latest novel The Blade Artist (released this year) was a novel that caught my eye while I
was looking along the shelves of my local library. The Blade Artist is a crime and thriller novel that
keeps you guessing until the end. Frank Begbie s first son, Sean Begbie is found dead in his
hometown Leith and he makes it his mission to find the killer. He also encounters some old friends
and enemies from before he basically changed his whole identity which is now an artist from Los

Adderall has evolved into the go to drug. The Class II prescription amphetamine is intended to solely
treat individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. The stimulant
works to enhance concentration by stimulating the production of dopamine and norepinephrine in the
brain (Stolz 585). Recently, there has been a dramatic increase in the use of Adderall on college
campuses to enhance academic performance and cram for exams through the over stimulation of the
brain, therefore creating super enhanced focus (Stolz 585), deeming it the smart drug. Due to the fact
that several students are not truly diagnosed with ADHD, a majority of this use on campuses is illegal;
this has become a growing problem affecting the health of students and entailing issues of
competiveness and fairness (Jacobs 1). In recent years, the abuse of Adderall has circulated hundreds
of college campuses and even secondary schools.
Unfortunately, students are being deceived by the stimulant drug s valuable qualities, masking the

surgical creation of a posterior vitreous detachment if it had not yet occurred, ILM peeling using
Briliant blue G (BBG), and fluid gas exchange followed by flushing with a mixed non expansile
concentration of 20% sulfur hexafluoride. Patients were instructed to remain facedown for 2 to 7 days
postoperatively. Anatomic success was defined as the presence of a flat or closed MH 1 month
postoperatively confirmed by biomicroscopy.(18) All patients provided written informed consent after
they received a detailed explanation of the surgical procedure and SD OCT follow up examinations.
