The Methods Of Advertising For The Real Estate Industry
My Aim at obtaining ones client base.
The methods in advertising for the real estate industry normally involve two key functions. The broker
and the agent advertise their listings that they are trying to sale which helps promote their company or
the company that they are working for. This would include numerous ways within the two main
functions, such as financial planning along with media advertising. My assignment for this week was
to write about the several styles of advertising there are to go about obtaining ones client base and the
debates that go with it.
Diverse approaches to acquire a customer base:
With today s wide range of opportunities available for the real estate industry it is no wonder why the
agents and brokers are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Programs like that help you to locate the information, plan appointments, and follow the actions along
with maintaining comments. Some in the industry believe that you must have in place a range of
referrals even before you complete your board certifications and are licensed. If by chance you are not
able to create a referral of this magnitude prior to your licensing only means that you will have to
work harder afterwards.
Once you have your referrals you are able to begin forwarding them your advertisements, license
updates, along with current information that is forth coming within your company. Now that you have
a license it is easier to request from members in your contact range for anyone they might now that is
in need of a new location and at the same time promote the word of mouth about your company.
Staying in touch on a routine basis with your contacts will help establish the bond between you and
them so that in the future when they are ready to purchase or sell you will be their first phone call.
Recommendation:
Getting a referral that will lead into more referrals is the best way to boost your company in the real
estate industry. Ask for referrals. Ask everyone, even if you don t think they will turn into a client.

Negative Eugenics
Eugenics will become a universal practice in the future due to the fact that humanity never learned the
lesson from the Holocaust and the Second World War. For instance, in the years immediately after the
war, many American geneticists worked as evaluators for many newborns adoptive placements. They
would focus on the [child] s ability to appear convincingly white, relying upon examination of the
sacral spot at the base of the spine, nose width, lip thickness, hair texture and shape, and even scrotum
coloration to determine the type of family most suitable for the child. Moreover, Peter Singer, who
was a moral philosopher born at the end of the war, publically endorsed the termination of not only
disabled infants, but children and adults as well. Shockingly, he was also a supporter of the Nazi
Aktion T4 program, More recently, an American jail sterilized all of its female prisoners who both
failed to graduate from high school and had five or more children. The jail administrators did this
without the consent of these prisoners. These were examples of negative eugenics, the one practiced
by the Nazi party and caused the deaths of millions of people. Clearly, the American geneticists,
Singer and the jail administrators all wanted to improve the quality of the population by discouraging
the reproductions of people with less desirable traits, such as African American features, disabilities
and low intelligence. Both the continued practices of negative eugenics as well as

Essay on Stability at Home vs. Fear in Kindred by...
Kindred by Octavia Butler has been a respected novel since its publication in 1979. In Kindred Butler
provides readers with suspense until the last page. It provides readers with two definitions of a home.
Home is a place where you feel safe where you have a family to come to when you are having a
horrible day at work or at school. Home is a place where you share good and bad times with family
and friends. A home is place of stability in your life. A home isn t a place that you are scared to go to.
A home isn t a place filled with only negative thoughts and hopes. A home is not a place that you

mental abuse. Dana and her husband Kevin just ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

discovers that she is traveling back in time to save Rufus which is her great grandfather. She
understands that she needs to keep him alive in order for her to live. When Dana realize what time
period she is in she is frighten because it is during slavery. At this point Dana understands that she has
gone back into time to experience the horrors of slavery and prejudice first hand. Dana tells Rufus that
she needs to get out of his room because his father could come in his room at any moment. So, Rufus
tells Dana of a little girl named Alice that lives not far from his house her mother and her are free
blacks. When Dana sees them she believes that they are her ancestors. While at Alice s house she sees
physical abuse and she also endures the abuse herself. As Dana fights for her life she faints back into
the present. When Dana is back at home in the present time she understands that when Rufus is in

life in jeopardy.

Informative Essay On Margaret Sanger
Margaret Sanger, a militant determined to push her cause and see her dreams fulfilled. I admire her for
her will and determination to pass what she believed was right; fighting the people keeping her down.
She believed in birth control and the idea women control their own bodies. Her target groups might
have been considered racist , but she pushed to help women. I believe in birth control and cutting out
unwanted pregnancies. Women deserve to choose if they want to be a mother or not. Birth control is
right to use if you have been raped, not mentally capable of being a mother and not have the control to
be a mother. Every child born should be wanted and not just here; no child deserves to be abused or
mistreated.
Margaret Sanger was an early feminist and women s rights activist who coined the term birth control
and worked towards its legalization (bibliography, 2014). Ms. Sanger was born to Anne Higgins on
September 14, 1879, in Corning, New York. Sanger was one of eleven children that were born to Ms.

them back with her to America. Margaret returned to America in October 1915 after the charges have

Monetary Policy of Bangladesh
Monetary Police
Monetary policy is the term used by economists to describe ways of managing the supply of money in
an economy. Monetary Policy is the management of money supply and interest rates by central bank
to influence prices and employment for achieving the objectives of general economic policy.
Monetary policy works through expansion or contraction of investment and consumption expenditure.
According to Paul Einzig
Monetary policy includes all monetary decisions and measures irrespective of whether their aims are
monetary and non monetary, and all non monetary decisions and measures that aim it affecting the

For developing economies like Bangladesh with significant underemployment/under exploitation of
production factors, stimulating higher growth is imperative for rapid reduction and eventual
elimination of endemic poverty, and is therefore an overriding priority. The stimulus provided by
monetary policies in accommodating the growth aspirations must not however over step towards
macroeconomic imbalance destabilizing and jeopardizing future growth; and the pursuit of monetary
policies comprise the continual balancing act of supporting the highest sustainable output growth
while adjusting smoothly to internal and external shocks that the economy encounter from time to
time.
The primary objective of the Monetary Policy of Bangladesh is to outline the formulation and
implementation of monetary policy of the Bangladesh Bank (BB), and to convey its assessment of the
recent and the expected monetary and inflation developments to the stakeholders and the public at
large.
The Bangladesh Bank Order of 1972 outlines the main objectives of monetary policy in Bangladesh,
which comprises ■ To achieve the price stability.
■ To regulate currency and reserves.
■ To promote and maintain a high level of production, employment and real income, and economic

The Implementation And Sustenance Of Jit
In the implementation and sustenance of JIT, psychological factors also play a vital role. Little
consideration of the complexities involved in psychological pattern of employees and suppliers would
reveal a vast field hitherto explored in the manufacturing environment. Every manufacturing practice
has two elements; one is the technical element and other is the human element. In this paper, we
attempt to understand the criticalities involved in the human element of the JIT practice. For this
purpose, we researched upon the various factors affecting the human element and present the
information in the following order. Firstly, we list down the factors or characteristics that would
enable JIT to be successfully implemented and sustained. Secondly, we attempt to gain in depth
understanding these factors thru the research work conducted by work psychologist and how these
factors behave in molding the implementation. Thirdly, we present how these factors are handled in
industries and what are the possible solutions presented by academic and industries entities to tackle
the challenges posed by these factors and its relations.
Academic research not only concentrated on the traditional cross cultural psychology like leadership,
motivation, work values etc. but also staffing, performance management and employee health and
safety. These research will better able to layout practices that can work in various cultural contexts.
The psychological impact on manufacturing practices can be

The Vision For Vital Connect Programs Essay
4. RESOLUTION The vision for vital connect program is to create a model for coordinated,
collaborative and coordinated patient care system. This model can be implemented by creating a well
structured and connected province wide health information technology solution. This HIT solution
will consist of following: Provincial clinical information system E referral system Personal health
portal 4.1 Provincial clinical information system EHR is defined in the Health Information Act (HIA)
[4] as the interconnected electronic health information which is developed to be shared across
authorized users in a secure environment . By creating a vast network of interconnected repositories,
EHR will provide a easy access to health information about individual patients to care, providers. To
create a province wide clinical information system, the first challenge is to connect individual
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) that may be concise to a particular healthcare facility. Currently,
more than 1200 standalone EMR systems exist within Alberta Health Services (AHS), with very few
of them interconnected and most of them outdated. The vision to create a province wide fully
connected clinical information system can be fulfilled if all these stand alone systems are updated and
attached to each other to facilitate seamless flow of information and instructions. There are various
advantages to using provincial CIS: Better Patient Care Increased efficiency Better quality of care

Jonbenet Ramsey Case Essay
Ramsey s Rightfully Released Jonbenet Ramsey, a six year old beauty queen, was mysteriously
murdered, but by whom? Jonbenet s murderer was never found after twenty years of investigations.
She was a beauty pageant queen who was brutally murdered in her home in Boulder, Colorado, on
December 25, 1996. Many believed the parents murdered Jonbenet, which is why the case was
controversial. In the 1996 controversial court case over Jonbenet Ramsey s death, the innocent verdict
correctly acquitted the family of the murder by evidence which proved the family s innocence,
including DNA that did not belong to anyone in the family, a ransom note found the night of the
murder, and signs of a break in to the family s house. During the investigation of ... Show more

completed (Hacker). The evidence proved neither Patsy or John wrote the ransom note. In order for
the parents to be involved their handwritings needed to match. To add to the evidence that proved
Jonbenet s parents innocence the note was specifically written to John, which explained why it asked
for his yearly bonus amount. Psychologist Stephen A. Diamond noted the ransom note is aimed
toward John rather than Patsy, the note begins addressing John(Diamond). It showed the writer knew
John, or been a business partner of his. John had a large business, and could have had many enemies.
In the handwriting analysis, it pointed to a person of origin who did not originally come from
America. Stephen A. Diamond also stated that certain words in the ransom note demonstrate the
possibility that the person who wrote it may not be a US citizen or may have originated in another
country(Diamond). The ransom note also stated Listen carefully! We are a group of individuals that
represent a small foreign faction (Diamond). The Foreign group may be new to the English language,

ABSTRACT
This study aims to evaluate the seismic performance of steel moment resisting frames upgraded with
shape memory alloy (SMA) based self centering viscous dampers. The superelastic viscous damper
(SVD) relies on SMA cables for re centering capability and employs viscoelastic (VE) damper that
consists of two layers of a high damped (HD) blended butyl elastomer compound to augment its

In another study, Erochko et al. [3] examined the residual drift response of special moment resisting
frames (SMRFs) and buckling restrained braced frames (BRBFs). It was found that both types of
building systems experience significant residual drifts, with values between 0.8 1.5% for the SMRFs
and 0.8 2.0% for the BRBFs under design based excitations. By reducing residual drifts of a structure
subjected to a seismic event, structural engineers can maximize post event functionality, reduce the
cost to repair the structures, and increase the public safety.
A number of studies have been carried out to develop new structural systems that can provide stable
energy dissipation with full re centering capabilities. Often referred to as self centering or re centering,
these systems provide a restoring force which is either independent from or acts in addition to energy
dissipation capabilities. Christopoulos et al. [4] developed a self centering energy dissipative bracing
system, which combines a friction dissipative mechanism and post tensioning elements. Experimental
tests on the proposed full scale bracing system were conducted to confirm the repeatable flag shape
hysteretic response. Deierlein et al. [5] proposed a new seismic resisting system that includes
controlled rocking, elastic post tensioning, and

Rhetorical Analysis Of Michelle Mibama Speech
Rhetorical Analysis Essay: Michelle vs. Melania
On August 25th of the year 2008, Michelle Obama gave an outstanding speech at the Democratic
National Convention. In her speech she talks about her husband s progress in the election as well as
his background, political experience, and social activism. She also talks about her upbringings as well
as Barack s. Eight years later, Donald Trump is running for president and his wife Melania has the
honors of giving a speech at the Republican National Convention. In Melania s speech she as well
speaks on how deserving her husband is of being the president and she also talks about her
upbringings. About three minute into her speech you start to hear word for word the same exact things
Michelle Obama said in her speech eight years ago. Both of their purposes were to convey the idea
that their husbands would make a great leader, but why were the speeches so similar. The purpose of
this essay is to examine how the two speeches given were rhetorically different in regards to
arrangement, style and delivery. Michelle Obama s use of rhetoric was very powerful in her speech.
She used lots of good communication and gestures such as: gave eye contact to her audience and used
body languages during the course of her speech. She also widely covered the usage of three appeals
throughout her speech. Michelle used ethos when telling her audience the service Barack Obama had
done
Beverley 2 while he was in Illinois. Pathos was used when she gave hope and remembrance to the
American Dream despite the predicaments people deal with in this country. She really touched the
audience s emotional side when she began to talk about her upbringings in the hearts of Chicago. Even
though there wasn t much statistical information given during the speech, Michelle made sure the
audience knew Barack Obama was suited to be president which covered logos. She talked about
Barack s involvements within the communities and demonstrating his dedication to support her idea
that he would make a great president. Michelles appearance was very simple but classy. During this
speech she wore a simple green dress that didn t draw attention away from her main purpose. She
spoke with a strong tone, but

The Adelphia Scandal Essay
The Adelphia Scandal In 1952, John Rigas purchased his own cable company. By the late 1990 s, he
had turned it into the sixth largest cable company in the United States with 5.6 million customers. The
business was always run as a family style business which led to fraudulent acts among family
members and upper level executives. The family has been accused of stealing $3.1 billion from
Adelphia and is now facing criminal charges. Adelphia was forced to file chapter 11 bankruptcy and as
of April 24, 2004, the new board of directors made the decision to break up the company and sell it.

In addition, the Rigas family harmed all the stakeholders. Stakeholders are those groups who have a
specific stake in or claim on the firm. Specifically suppliers, customers, employees, stockholders, and
local community, as well as management (Freeman 56). Adelphia Coliseum, now renamed The
Coliseum, had to be renamed because of Adelphia s bankruptcy. Adelphia Coliseum was a stakeholder.
This made everyone who utilized the stadium a stakeholder as well. The stakeholders were harmed
because when Adelphia went bankrupt, the coliseum was not completely paid for. Therefore, they had
to find alternative ways to pay for the coliseum. The Rigas family was the manager of Adelphia and
had a fiduciary responsibility to the stakeholders. This scandal was immoral because Adelphia did not
fulfill their responsibilities to their stakeholders when it was their duty. According to Milton Friedman,
stockholders are the owners of the corporation, and hence corporate profits belong to the stockholders.
Managers have a moral obligation to manage the firm in the interest of the stockholders (Friedman
45). Adelphia was managed in such a way that it was not in the stockholder s interest, in fact, it was
only managed in the interest of the Rigas family. It is wrong to harm the stockholders because they
have entrusted the company with their money with an expected return and maybe an

Mackinnon Thinking Sex
The third wave of feminism coincided with the end of the second wave. It occurred from the 1990s
and is still present in contemporary society. This wave focuses on a post modern understanding of
gender boundaries and sexual identity. Most notably, the emergence of anti pornographic movements
during the third wave created a divide between radical and sex positive views on sexuality. In
MacKinnon s article Feminism, Marxism, Method, and the State: An Agenda for Theory, she draws on
the parallel between sexuality and marxism. The exploitation of work in marxism is comparable to the
exploitation of female sexuality for men (MacKinnon 16). The exploitation of women as a sexual
object for male gratification is apparent in pornography. MacKinnon ... Show more content on

MacKinnon s categorization of gender fails to take into account the difference in sexual desires.
Within the socio legal context, the regulation of sexual activities generalizes patterns of norms and
marginalizes those who do not fit within this binary. This results in the suppression of natural
masochistic desire and identity. As suggested by Rubin, feminist critiques of gender hierarchy must be
incorporated into a radical theory of sex, and the critique of sexual oppression should enrich feminism
(Rubin 180). Rubin argues that the feminist critique of protecting women due to their status as
subordinates effectively displace their sexual liberation (Rubin

The Role Of The Female Narrator In Humphry Clinker
The novel Humphry Clinker is written almost exclusively through one sided letters of correspondence.
A majority of the letters presented in this novel are written by the two male narrators of the story,
leaving the rest of the space for the female narrators. While the male narrators of Jery Melford and
Matthew Bramble are used to offer most of the detail to the novel, the female narrators help to offer
portions of substance. The narrators of Tabitha Bramble, Lydia Melford, and Winifred Jenkins are
used to offer a deeper analysis and differing perspective of the events that take place, in turn
displaying the essence of the story. Each of the narrators have their own individual purpose in the
story. When the novel begins, Tabitha Bramble s letter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lydia often says things that speak about her sex and how she sees them to act. One instance where
Lydia does this is when she says I have seen enough to believe, that our sex in general make it their
business to ensnare others (289). Not only is Lydia basically saying that all women are nosy
busybodies, but that they use that quality to catch others whether it be in a lie or in marriage. The fact
that Lydia says things like this is interesting because while her character is saying it, Smollett is the
one writing it. With this single line he makes women out to be sneaky and conniving creatures, and
through this, wholly disrespectable. Now, Lydia isn t portrayed to be this way, so it brings up not only
the question of class but the question of education as being a factor. Lydia is a high classed woman
with an education, so she is made to be better than Tabitha who is of the same class, however with less
education. Therefore, it implies that class isn t a factor in how women act, but their amount of
education. Something else Smollett expresses is that women are not strong willed and easy to sway.
After Humphry apologizes in nicer clothing for accidentally exposing his bare bottom to Tabitha, Jery
observes this compliment and humiliation had some effect upon Tabby (97). Tabitha is so easily
swayed by a man of good appearance that she is made out to be simple minded. In the end of the

The Rate Of Teen Pregnancy
Now, about 15 million girls under the age of 20 in the world have a child each year. Guesses (of a
number) are that 20 60% of these pregnancies in developing countries are mistimed or unwanted. In
the United States, the percent of teenage pregnancies that are unintended is guessed (number) at 78%.
The rates of teen pregnancy are not equal across (communities of people). Rates of teen pregnancy
change/differ by a factor of almost 10 from as low as 12 pregnancies per year per 1,000 teens in the
Netherlands to rates of more than 100 teens per year per 1,000 in the Russian Federation. The rates of
women having a child before age 20 are higher in the United States compared to almost the same
countries. For example, 22% of women report having a child before age 20 in the United States,
compared to 15% in Great Britain and 11% in Canada. These differences are even greater when
comparing (numbers of babies born per 1000 people per year) among younger teenagers. When one
controls for poorness and (family and cultural characteristics), some, but not all, of this difference
disappears.
In the early 1990s, over 1 million teenagers (old/allowed to get old/got older) 15 19 became pregnant
each year in the United States. This figure represents a peak of increasing rates of teen pregnancy
through the 1980s and early 1990s. In the later part of the 1990s through the first part of the new
century, rates have begun to (lower in number/get worse). Now it is guessed (number) that just below

person must be organized because of all the planning they will have to be doing, have patience due to
the stressful obstacles that will surely be in the way, which ties in directly with problem solving. Also,
they would be dealing with a lot of people so speaking skills and communication is something that
they can definitely not struggle with. The abilities a chief executive must obtain are written
expression, speech clarity and recognition, written composition and deductive reasoning, and oral
comprehension (O Net). All of which will help move a person move ahead of competitive peers.
When the group discussed relocating to other states Florida and New York were our top choices. The
Bureau of Labor Statistics say that 13,970 people are currently are employed as chief executives in
Florida. For entry positions the average pay is $202,300 a year. This is very good pay however, the
growth level in the next five to ten years is barely 2.4% (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Which is not
very promising for a person with this career goal in mind. In New York, they currently employ 17,060
people as this type of executive. The Bureau of Labor Statistics also says they have a better growth
rate at 3.8%, but still not very promising for those going into this career. The pay in New York is

All The Pretty Horses
Death. If one thing is inevitable in life, it is death. Whether figuratively or literally, the conclusion to
anything always comes, and whether for the better or the worse, something new always emerges.
Cormac McCarthy s All The Pretty Horses starts at that conclusion. The death of protagonist John
Grady Cole s grandfather closes one period of his life and as a result a new whole period begins. It
explores the new period in his journey throughout Mexico, and it is the one thing that always follows.
In his novel, McCarthy uses death as a moving action for the main protagonist, John Grady Cole. A
person whose beliefs and dreams lie in the past generation and not in the his time of 1950 s
Texas/Mexico, he encounters death frequently ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are no longer in the peaceful hacienda setting anymore and are instead in a deep hole which they
themselves have to dig out of. Following the murder of Blevins is the scene in the prison where John
Grady Cole kills an attacker. That initiates the reveal of John Grady Cole s violent and wild side. Only
when he is on his own near the conclusion of the novel and he suddenly knows that his father has died,
is it that he is finally free of all ties to the modern world.
Therefore it is clear to see the significance that death has in the major plot points of John Grady Cole s
journey throughout All The Pretty Horses. It affects every single thing that he goes through whether he
likes it or not. It is the moving action within his journey. It is what sets him off. If it was not for death,
he would still be in San Angelo, Texas he would have never done numerous things such as meeting
Alejandra and Blevins or being in charge of dozens of horses at a time.
In fact, it can be argued that death is not only the moving action within All The Pretty Horses, but also
the main antagonist. John Grady Cole begins the novel wanting to stay wherever he is but it always
has other plans for him. When talking to Rawlins after the two of them arrive at the hacienda, he even
explicitly states that he would like to stay there about a hundred years (McCarthy 96). Unbeknownst
to him, because of how

The Blade Artist Essay
Irvine Welsh s latest novel The Blade Artist (released this year) was a novel that caught my eye while I
was looking along the shelves of my local library. The Blade Artist is a crime and thriller novel that
keeps you guessing until the end. Frank Begbie s first son, Sean Begbie is found dead in his
hometown Leith and he makes it his mission to find the killer. He also encounters some old friends
and enemies from before he basically changed his whole identity which is now an artist from Los
Angeles with a family. Things that I liked in this novel were the idea People aren t always who they
say they are and Frank Begbie as an interesting character.
Frank Begbie was an interesting character for me because he has lived two different lives over his life
and they feature two very different people with very different personalities. His personality as Jim
Francis is a very calm character who is happy with life as a sculptor whereas Frank Begbie which is
his original identity is obsessed with violence and loved to play tricks which would harm people.
Occasionally one character will appear while acting as or being the other like when Jim was punching
and kicking Santiago on the beach. The conversation between the pair went like this. Santiago screams
in pain Please don t hurt me anymore Jim! Please oh please!

this novel to teenagers and adults because it would a very inapplicable novel for anyone younger. The

How the Roman Catholic Church Has Changde History
Intro/Argument
The Roman Catholic Church has changed history an incredible amount, especially in the twentieth
century. It did not affect one single region of the world but many. The whole world went through
drastic changes in the twentieth century such as the economic downfalls, destruction of governments,
and failure of political systems. Through the economic and spiritual support of many different
Catholic charities, such as The Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Church came to the aid of many
people in need and changed the course of history. The Catholic Church also experienced the most
influential people during this time period. Pope John Paul II influenced the whole world. Also Mother
Theresa contributed to society in many different ways. It was not just a specific person that aided
people in need but also the church as a whole. The world experienced so many tragic things in this
time period. The world went through two world wars and an economic collapse. The Catholic Church
was the rock people needed during these stressful times and it did not change. The Catholic Church
has influenced people s lives for the better since it s beginning. It helped build new countries and
repair the old ones. It helped rebuild governments and tea down dictators. Through the twentieth
century the world went through many horrible things. One of them was communism. The Catholic
Church helped put an end to communism in some parts of the world. It shed light on the evils of men
and gave

The Spinach Twins
Another difference between the two shows was how an episode was produced. To begin, The French
Chef begins with Julia welcoming her viewers as she pulls a dish out of the oven, and introduces the
dish she will be cooking on her show. After welcoming her audience an opening title appears with the
name of the show, Julia s name, and the dish she will be preparing ( Julia Child The French Chef The
Spinach Twins , 2016). Then, during the preparation of the dish Julia takes her time going at a slow,
but comfortable pace when showing how to prepare her dish. Child explains every step of the way
giving precise measurements, and does not take any short cuts. For an example in Season 2 episode 2

Bones season 7, episode 7, Prisoner in the Pipes originally aired on April 2, 2012. As the title implies,
this episode revolves around the body of what is assumed to be escaped prisoner that turns up in the
toilet of an unsuspecting family. The initially recovered remains are brought back to the Jeffersonian
where Bones and her team quickly determine the victim was male and the victim s eyeball has a lens

The study showed maxillary canines exhibiting significant sexual dimorphism and can be used for sex
determination along with other procedures. (Khangura, Sircar, Singh, Rastogi, 2011) This is not what
Bones said she used. The show implies that she used the broken bones of the sinuses, not the teeth
attached, to determine the sex.
Furthermore, the speed they were able to go through each step of the process of cleaning the bones
was unbelievable. Our text book, Forensic Anthropology, says it takes days even weeks to properly
clean bones using a very rigorous process of boiling, bleaching, and air drying to remove residual soft
tissue (Byers, 2011 p. 117). While I understand why they speed up of the process for television, it
leads the common person to believe that this process is quickly done. If it were ever to affect their
lives, they would not understand that the authorities are working has fast as they can. Also after they
cleaned the bones, Daisy soaked the clean bones in rose water to freshen them up and help Bones
relax. A forensic specialist would never compromise the integrity of the evidence to freshen them up.
Another huge issue I have with this episode is Angela s ability to produce evidence from what appears
to be nothing. Using minimal bones, she is able to digitally reproduce a full skeleton. In Figure 1, you

In this day and age of interconnected worldwide business environments where information underpins
the functionality of an organization, it becomes increasing important to secure information and
information systems from a wide range of threats and vulnerabilities that affects the Confidentiality,
Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of information.
There has been a significant rise in information security incidents (Leakage of knowledge, valuable

The traditional security perimeter of the organization has now extended to include people, their
devices and actions. Hence, organizations like MSD, must ensure the security of information and
information assets by implementing a sophisticated organization wide information security program
that ensures protection of valuable corporate information.
Recently, MSD has suffered significant financial and reputational damage because of actions of
employees, leakage of trade secrets, and high employee (permanent/contractor) turnover (loss of IP).
It is obvious that the threats posed by competitors has increased over time and MSD needs to
immediately identify the gaps and ensure competitive advantage is not lost.
Castle Security Consulting (CSC) provides comprehensive range of professional information security

Student Justifications for Abusing Adderall
What Are U of M Students Perceptions of Adderall?
INTRODUCTION
With the increased pressure to succeed and the chaotic collegiate lifestyle taking a toll on students,
Adderall has evolved into the go to drug. The Class II prescription amphetamine is intended to solely
treat individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. The stimulant
works to enhance concentration by stimulating the production of dopamine and norepinephrine in the
brain (Stolz 585). Recently, there has been a dramatic increase in the use of Adderall on college
campuses to enhance academic performance and cram for exams through the over stimulation of the
brain, therefore creating super enhanced focus (Stolz 585), deeming it the smart drug. Due to the fact
that several students are not truly diagnosed with ADHD, a majority of this use on campuses is illegal;
this has become a growing problem affecting the health of students and entailing issues of
competiveness and fairness (Jacobs 1). In recent years, the abuse of Adderall has circulated hundreds
of college campuses and even secondary schools.
Unfortunately, students are being deceived by the stimulant drug s valuable qualities, masking the
serious, detrimental effects that the drug induces. Even worse, contributing to Adderall s extensive
abuse across campuses, instead of condemnation it is implicitly being praised and validated by parents
and students who view these drugs as a means of academic

What About Casinos Based On Reservations
What about casinos based on reservations? There are many arguments against these as well. That the
increase of tourism to these casinos will harm the community, through crime rates, and increased
illegal activity. They state that the funds stay in the pockets of those associated with the casino, and
that the community does not see a benefit, only suffers from the casino activity. But dismissing the
idea of a casino on reservations over assumptions is unfair to the Native people, as they assumptions
normally ignore the benefits of the reservation casino. Branch Conway (Bailey Chase) from the A E

Also, the development of casinos are drawing people back, people that are talented in business
management, economics, and other business skills. With these casinos, these type of people are highly
sought after, and are able to return because of the financial gain these individuals can gain for
themselves and their families. One might say that the casinos on reservations are only putting money
in the pockets of certain individuals, that enough money is not generated to help the community. Well,
take a look at the Mashantucket Pequot s from Connecticut. In 1992, the Pequot s struck a deal...
(paying) 25% of gross revenues on slot machine(s) to have slots in its...casino, as long as they paid at
least $80 million per year for the privilege of having slots. These large payments prevented the state
from granting a license for a proposed non Indian casino in the Bridgeport area. In the fiscal year
2002, payments to the state are estimated in excess of $350 million (Evans, 10). At 25%, that means
that the casino has generated 1.4 billion in revenue; on slots alone. That s a lot of money to be poured
back into the community, as the casino regularly sponsors local activities in the community. According
to the Indigenous Policy Journal, In 2006, Indian gaming generated net revenues exceeding $25
billion, with evidence suggesting the investment of gaming dollars into a broad array of social,
economic, and governmental programs (Conner, 1). These

4-Seam Fastball Essay
In the game of baseball, the goal of the pitcher is to render the ability of the batter to effectively hit the
thrown ball as inept. In order to do this many Major League Baseball hitters employ the use of high
velocities on the pitches that they throw. The hardest of these pitches is agreed upon as the 4 seam
fastball. Many pitchers throw this pitch in the range of 90 to 95 miles per hour but as of recently many
pitchers have been reaching the triple digit mark. Recently, as more research into the science, and
specifically the physics of baseball pitching has been done, intellectuals in the sports science
community have concluded that reaching 100 miles an hour on a pitch in baseball may be the highest

By moving the way in which his fingers are placed on a ball, the pitcher can change the type of pitch
that he is throwing. There are multitudes of different types of pitches that pitchers throw such as
fastballs, pitches in which velocity is the main focus of the pitcher throwing it, and off speed pitches,
pitchers where the movement of the pitch is more important to the pitcher than the velocity of the
pitch. In the category of fastballs the 4 seam fastball is generally regarded as the fastest pitch available
in the arsenal of the pitcher. It is held with the index and middle fingers across the seam of the
baseball and thrown with a downward motion to maximize velocity. Along with these different types
of pitches there are also different ways in which to throw them. Some pitchers throw the ball in a
submarine style, or a style in which the pitchers releases the ball with their arm close to the ground,
almost underhanded in motion. This throwing motion typically leads to decreased velocity as
compared with an overhanded throwing motion, but more movement on the pitches and a higher rate
of deception. To maximize velocity most pitchers throw almost completely overhand or in a 3/4 arm
slot in which the arm is slightly skewed from the head and outstretched from the

The Hidden Cost of Hybrid Vehicles
One of the most debated subjects in today s society is the growing concern over global warming. This
concern is derived from the increase in global pollution from many aspects but in particular
greenhouse gasses. This increase in pollution is attributed to a growing population that is more
dependent on modern commodities. Of these commodities one of the greatest contributors to this cycle
are motor vehicles. Because of the growing concern over the environmental effects of cars,
manufacturers have began to develop new vehicle types in order to reduce the amount of pollution

This particular project will observe how the carbon footprint of automobiles effect the global climate?
Has the introduction of eco friendly vehicles changed this footprint? Ultimately the end result will
yield the environmental impact of eco friendly vehicle production, and whether it can outweigh its
carbon footprint. It is important to note that both the environmental effects and economic effects are
crucial in the advancement of technologies used by the auto manufacturers; in a sense both are
dependent on the other.
The purpose of this paper is to support the amateur research experiment in regards to the efficiency of
combustion and combustion hybrid engines. A brief literature review on the effects of automobile use
and production will help draw a conclusion as to whether hidden environmental effects outweigh its
marketed green value.
Environmental Effects of Motor Vehicle Exhaust The importance of the environmental effects
attributed to the use of motor vehicles cannot be understated; as one of the primary producers of
chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) cars a greatly responsible for the increase of greenhouse gasses (Desonie,
2009). Greenhouse gasses are considered to be the primary reason for the rise in global temperatures.

In the reading A first time expatriates experience in a joint venture in China we have come to

Controls Inc. was a subsidiary of the parent company Filtration Inc. and so was shielded from any

Along with building relationships, James structured guidelines along with an informal approach to

authority and would follow him dutifully, due to his humanistic and understanding approach. Although
the system seemed to be rigid, the workers, who were expected to be less open to new ideas, were in
fact willing to adapt to new ideas and learn something from James and his methodologies. James
possessed cross cultural understanding of the Chinese people that seemed to be more focused and
analytical rather than biased on preconceptions. His cultural dissimilarity and approach allowed for
him to be accepted and followed, which eventually paved an entrance for organizational reengineering

The management structure which was negotiated by the Controls Asia Pacific team conceded the

What is Outsourcing? It is a method in which companies subcontract labor and support to outside
agencies (Klepper, 1997). How, why, and who companies outsource to are quickly becoming social
topics of discussion in our society. Everyone seems to have an opinion on outsourcing. I bet that I can
walk into a social gathering right now and hear discussions like outsourcing is good for the American

Also, it may be more expensive to outsource. Sometimes it is cheaper to keep a process in house as
compared to outsourcing. Security and confidentiality concerns may arise, especially with payroll and
confidential information such as salary (Earl, 1996).
BPO is similar to information technology outsourcing but includes outsourcing related to accounting,
HR, benefits, payroll, and finance functions and activities (Embleton, 1998). Business Process
Outsourcing (BPO) is a decision to subcontract some or all important, non core, business processes.
This allows companies to invest its time, talent, and capital on basic business strategies that help
company growth. Better and more affordable services become available for consumers and taxpayers
(Embleton, 1998). Outsourcing allows companies to operate on an around the clock, 24/7 production
cycle, further adding to productivity (Embleton, 1998).
No matter what type of outsourcing a company uses, there is a see saw effect, someone on the high
and low end. There are pros, cons, positives and negatives. For example, if you are a cost cutting
director at a competitive company, the mention of outsourcing, especially offshore, may bring a smile
to your face. For computer programmers, call center workers, or factory workers the reaction is likely
to be more negative. The primary pro is that outsourcing jobs outside of the U.S. may help to

in truth it was really Sacagawea s expedition. If Lewis and Clark had gone by themselves they would

The second one I chose to write about was Susan B. Anthony because of how she was raised to stand

named Anne Sullivan that showed her that even though she was deaf and blind she could change the
world for the better. These women have rightfully earned their spots in history and should be praised
for the sacrifices they made to make America a better place for slaves, women and the disabled.
Sojourner Truth
During the late seventeenth century if a person was not a land owning single white male, they were
treated horrible. This left women and slaves to be at the bottom of the totem pole. Now imagine being
a woman born into slavery, this would put the woman even lower on the pole; close to being equal

crude petroleum oils and confidential items to New Zealand. Meanwhile, New Zealand exports $843
million of their milk powder, butter, dairy spreads and frozen beef to Indonesia. 1.1.1. Definition of
diplomatic relations Diplomatic comes from the Latin word diploma which means charter. In the
broad sense, diplomatic can be interpreted as legitimate and legal use of a state in conducting foreign
policy. In order to establish the relationship between countries, states usually send their diplomats to
work in each other s country (Herde, 2000). The benefit of diplomatic relations is to support the
process of democratization, sustained economic stability, social cohesion, tolerance of differences, and
to encourage respect, protection of human rights within countries (Herde, 2000). 1.1.2. Background
and history of the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and New Zealand In carrying out its foreign
relations, Indonesia adheres to the principle of free and active foreign policy. Free means that
Indonesia is not bound by any ideology or by politics of foreign countries or by super power countries.
While active means that Indonesia actively participated in public order and world peace, with respect
for sovereignty of other countries. One of the main purposes of Indonesia

Abolition And James Russell Lowell
Abolition and James Russell Lowell
The Declaration of Independence gave us the famous words: we hold these truths to be self evident,
that all men are created equal. James Russell Lowell was a staunch believer that this famous phrase
referred to all men, including slaves. Lowell held the opinion that it was the inborn right of all men to
be free and that God created all human beings with the same natural rights. The poems The Present
Crisis, On the Capture of Fugitive Slaves Near Washington, and Ode Recited At the Harvard
Commemoration combined moral and religious beliefs and arguments to make a political statement
about the abolition of slavery.
The Present Crisis was written by James Russell Lowell in 1844 to the discuss the crisis sweeping the
nation at that time slavery. In this poem, Lowell explains some of the justifications for the practice of
slavery, which he considered to be utterly incorrect. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By writing this poem, the author hopes to clearly state that all men are equal and that slavery is an
affront to God. Ultimately his goal is that those reading this poem will be inspired to abolish slavery.
He makes it clear that all people are equal in the eyes of God, or in Lowell s words, God works for all
(Lowell 82). Lowell believed that America was no longer using morality as its guide, but instead was
being guided by poorly concealed self interest. According to a critic of Lowell s, He believed that
America had lost sight of the common good. Increasingly divided into high and low, the populace
seemed, to his mind, no longer willing to distinguish individual self interest from civic virtue (Bell
131). As a result of the strong sentiments the author displays in this poem, the reader might feel
repulsed at those who put themselves and what they perceive to be best for their country above

To What Extent Was Ancient Athens A Democracy Dbq
Facts and information lead to the fact that Athens truly was a democracy. First of all, what is a
democracy? A democracy is a form of government that the people of that state or country run. To
prove that ancient Athens actually was a democracy, here are three pieces of evidence to prove so.
Unlike our government, the people of Athens ran their government, compared to our government,
where we elect representatives to run our government for us. First, democracy is the rule of the whole
of the people, excluding minors and maniacs only (Doc D). The only people who had a say in the
Athenian government were the male citizens. Women, children, and slave had no say whatsoever. The
males had all the say on what they felt the city state needed in

Harriet Tubman The American Abolitionist
Lesson Reading Assignments The lesson I was granted to teach is Harriet Tubman, the American
abolitionist, was born a slave at some time around bout the 1800s. The students were required to read
this encyclopedia entry and write a small summary, summarizing what they have learned and they had
to deliver their findings in a class demonstration. Lesson 1 what is the entry about is a question student
had to respond in their summaries. Next students had to make sure they read it by following Mrs.
Langley s directions before you read, decide what you will have to determine by interpreting the
questions that was created for you to do. Mrs. Langley s strategies are for pupils to learn and study
vocabulary first before reading. Also, look at the title of the entry, look at the headlines and get
familiar with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She also asked me to ask students if they will look for pictures they will show students what the story
will be about as well this is a good strategy for English Language learners. Mrs. Langley wanted
students to commemorate what they learned and know roughly the topic because what they know will
help the students realize what they will read and already know. As for me I think that what went well
on this on class assignment is that students connect their previous knowledge with new knowledge
these our six grade students so they already recognize the narrative of Harriet Tubman but the
encyclopedia discussion was more different than merely learning. This discussed Mrs. Tubman
birthday city she lived in and how she became free about the story closed in some gaps students was
not aware about this wonderful lady that is a huge part of our

Compare Three Phase And Six Phase Induction Motor
Abstract: The area of the multiphase motor has experienced a significant growth in last decade
numerous interesting development have been reported in the literature in this chain this paper is an
attempt to mathematically model both three phase and six phase induction motor for comparison of
their characteristics. Using this mathematical modeling a Simulink model is created whose results
shows that the six phase induction motor can sustain more than four times the torque that can be
sustained by three phase induction motor of same design parameters. The six phase motor is better not
just in torque handling capacity but it also has inherent advantages of the multiphase induction motor.

II. PROCEDURE FOR MODELING
A. Three phase induction motor
A motor is an electromechanical device which converts electrical energy into a mechanical energy.
The induction motor is the workhorse of the industry. In case of its three phase AC operation, they do
not require any starter. They are self starting Induction motor. Every Motor consists of two major
parts: (a) Stator (b) Rotor
(a) Stator: Stator of three phase induction motor is made up of cast iron. It has numbers of slots to
construct a 3 phase winding circuit in them which is connected to 3 phase AC source. The three phase
winding are arranged in such a manner that they produce a rotating magnetic field hen a 3 phase AC
supply is provided to them.
(b) Rotor: The rotor is the moving component of the induction motor it is made up of laminated steel
in the core with evenly spaced bars of copper or aluminum placed axially around the periphery.
Conductors are short circuited using the end ring made of thick aluminum or copper

Nurture Nature Vs Nature
The debate between nature and nurture addresses genetic and environmental determinants and which
principles apply to our lives. Humans are affected by choices made by others and ourselves and things
that are meant to happen. Free will is being able to make a choice to do something on our own or to
act in certain situations independently of natural, social, or divine restraints (Encyclopedia Britannica).
Social cues are verbal or nonverbal hints that are meant to guide peers about their actions, the
conversation they re having, etc.. Determinism is the belief that everything is naturally connected to
the universe and every event happens because of the events that came before it. Fatalism follows the
belief that events occur naturally, but without influence of humans. Nurture is a greater influences on
our lives than nature; humans operate upon the principles of free will, social cues, and determinism.
Determinism supports the idea that our outcomes are based on our choices and that they are meant to
happen that way. An example of one s deterministic view is Brent Staples describing the ways he
unintentionally frightened those around him in public and he would go out of his way to make them
feel safer. It s unfair that an accomplished college graduate should be judged for their appearance, as
well as anyone else for that matter. Staples had no obligation to act the way he did, but in order to
keep himself safe, he could not pose a threat and get away with it as a black

The Psychological Factors Involved in Child Abuse Essay
Child abuse is a term impacted by copious multidimensional and interactive factors that relate to its
origins and effects upon a child s developing capacities and which may act as a catalyst to broader,
longer term implications for adulthood. Such maltreatment may be of a sexual, physical, emotional or
neglectful nature, each form holding a proportion of shared and abuse specific psychological
considerations (Mash Wolfe, 2005). Certainly in terms of the effects / impairments of abuse,
developmental factors have been identified across all classifications of child abuse, leading to a
comparably greater risk of emotional / mental health problems in adult life within the general
population ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Research conducted in the United States of America clearly identifies an interaction between victim
age and abuse characteristics (USDHHS, 2003). There exists a negative correlation between the onset
and prevalence of physical neglect and victim age, for instance, indicative of a young child s
dependency upon the caregiver for supervision and nurture (Mash Wolfe, 2005). The incidence of
physical and emotional abuse is also most prominent during developmental periods of independence,
specifically the early, pre school and adolescent transitional stages of development (ibid). Sexual
abuse has prevailed most consistently, however, from an onset of age 3 throughout childhood,
highlighting the vulnerability of children across the age spectrum (ibid). Nevertheless, victim gender
is emphasised as an influential variable within the incidence and nature of sexual abuse; for females
have accounted for up to 80% of reported victims and are more likely to be abused by male family
members in contrast to male victims, where the perpetrator of abuse is more likely to be a non family
male offender (USDHHS, 2003; Berliner Elliott, 2002). Physical attractiveness, social isolation and
early sexual maturation are further female specific victim characteristics associated with increased
vulnerability to sexual abuse (Finkelhor Baron, 1986; Ferguson

Young Offenders In Australia
your response.
The Australian criminal justice system approaches young offenders through unique strategies to
address the challenges of dealing with juvenile offending. Even though young offenders commit a
higher percentage of crime compared to adults, young offenders also have the highest likelihood to be
rehabilitated and change their lifestyle as they mature, resulting in a lower court appearance
percentage due to the different rights children have.
There are a few repetitive reasons for young people to be involved in crime. These include poor
parental supervision, drug and alcohol abuse, neglect and abuse, homelessness, negative peer
associations, difficulties in school and employment.

Up To 1775 Essay
Economics Up to 1775* Cultivation of Tobacco was the basis of America s early economy; shortly
after, later economy weaved and meshed with the British Empire s on heavily voluminous levels, and
their relationship was strongly based on various Acts placed upon the Colonies. After acquiring seeds
from Trinidadian colonies, John Rolfe s plantation of the tobacco plant caused the first real economic
presence by selling them to European countries. The Tobacco plant was the first true cash crop of
America, imports from their mother country England were reaching to about half a million pounds per
year. The Navigation Acts of 1651 prohibited any foreign ships, with an emphasis on the Dutch, into
British Colonies in relation to trade. The British Kingdom believed that for America to be a stable
country, their exports should outnumber their imports. The Kingdom was just recovering from a brutal
recession, and they were determined to make sure that their rivals, the Dutch, be absent of a trading
relation with the Colonies. The Molasses Act of 1733 was one of the first Acts that ironically brought
in a boom of smuggling into the colonies. It issued that any molasses imported from any country other
than the British Colonies would have a six pence per gallon tax placed upon it. This act was created
mainly due to the urging of large plantation owners in the British West Indies. The Currency Act of
1751 blocked the production of paper money by New England colonies. This was to

For instance, in the years immediately after the war, many American geneticists worked as evaluators for many newborns adoptive placements. They would focus on the [child] s ability to appear convincingly white, relying upon examination of the sacral spot at the base of the spine, nose width, lip thickness, hair texture and shape, and even scrotum coloration to determine the type of family most suitable for the child. Moreover, Peter Singer, who was a moral philosopher born at the end of the war, publically endorsed the termination of not only disabled infants, but children and adults as well. Shockingly, he was also a supporter of the Nazi Aktion T4 program, More recently, an American jail sterilized all of its female prisoners who both failed to graduate from high school and had five or more children. The jail administrators did this without the consent of these prisoners. These were examples of negative eugenics, the one practiced by the Nazi party and caused the deaths of millions of people. Clearly, the American geneticists, Singer and the jail administrators all wanted to improve the quality of the population by discouraging the reproductions of people with less desirable traits, such as African American features, disabilities and low intelligence. Her target groups might have been considered racist , but she pushed to help women. I believe in birth control and cutting out unwanted pregnancies. Women deserve to choose if they want to be a mother or not. Birth control is right to use if you have been raped, not mentally capable of being a mother and not have the control to be a mother. Every child born should be wanted and not just here; no child deserves to be abused or mistreated. Margaret Sanger was an early feminist and women s rights activist who coined the term birth control and worked towards its legalization (bibliography, 2014). Little consideration of the complexities involved in psychological pattern of employees and suppliers would reveal a vast field hitherto explored in the manufacturing environment. Every manufacturing practice has two elements; one is the technical element and other is the human element. In this paper, we attempt to understand the criticalities involved in the human element of the JIT practice. For this purpose, we researched upon the various factors affecting the human element and present the information in the following order. Firstly, we list down the factors or characteristics that would enable JIT to be successfully implemented and sustained. Secondly, we attempt to gain in depth understanding these factors thru the research work conducted by work psychologist and how these factors behave in molding the implementation. Thirdly, we present how these factors are handled in industries and what are the possible solutions presented by academic and industries entities to tackle the challenges posed by these factors and its relations. Academic research not only concentrated on the traditional cross cultural psychology like leadership, motivation, work values etc. but also staffing, performance management and employee health and safety. These research will better able to layout practices that can work in various cultural contexts. The psychological impact on manufacturing practices can be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

By reducing residual drifts of a structure subjected to a seismic event, structural engineers can maximize post event functionality, reduce the cost to repair the structures, and increase the public safety. A number of studies have been carried out to develop new structural systems that can provide stable energy dissipation with full re centering capabilities. Often referred to as self centering or re centering, these systems provide a restoring force which is either independent from or acts in addition to energy dissipation capabilities. In her speech she talks about her husband s progress in the election as well as his background, political experience, and social activism. She also talks about her upbringings as well as Barack s. Eight years later, Donald Trump is running for president and his wife Melania has the honors of giving a speech at the Republican National Convention. In Melania s speech she as well speaks on how deserving her husband is of being the president and she also talks about her upbringings. About three minute into her speech you start to hear word for word the same exact things Michelle Obama said in her speech eight years ago. Both of their purposes were to convey the idea that their husbands would make a great leader, but why were the speeches so similar. The purpose of this essay is to examine how the two speeches given were rhetorically different in regards to arrangement, style and delivery. Michelle Obama s use of rhetoric was very powerful in her speech. She used lots of good communication and gestures such as: gave eye contact to her audience and used body languages during the course of her speech. She also widely covered the usage of three appeals throughout her speech. Michelle used ethos when telling her audience the service Barack Obama had done Beverley 2 while he was in Illinois. Pathos was used when she gave hope and remembrance to the American Dream despite the predicaments people deal with in this country. She really touched the audience s emotional side when she began to talk about her upbringings in the hearts of Chicago. She talked about Barack s involvements within the communities and demonstrating his dedication to support her idea that he would make a great president. This wave focuses on a post modern understanding of gender boundaries and sexual identity. Most notably, the emergence of anti pornographic movements during the third wave created a divide between radical and sex positive views on sexuality. In MacKinnon s article Feminism, Marxism, Method, and the State: An Agenda for Theory, she draws on the parallel between sexuality and marxism. As suggested by Rubin, feminist critiques of gender hierarchy must be incorporated into a radical theory of sex, and the critique of sexual oppression should enrich feminism (Rubin 180). Lydia often says things that speak about her sex and how she sees them to act. One instance where Lydia does this is when she says I have seen enough to believe, that our sex in general make it their business to ensnare others (289). Not only is Lydia basically saying that all women are nosy busybodies, but that they use that quality to catch others whether it be in a lie or in marriage. The fact that Lydia says things like this is interesting because while her character is saying it, Smollett is the one writing it. With this single line he makes women out to be sneaky and conniving creatures, and through this, wholly disrespectable. Now, Lydia isn t portrayed to be this way, so it brings up not only the question of class but the question of education as being a factor. Lydia is a high classed woman with an education, so she is made to be better than Tabitha who is of the same class, however with less education. Therefore, it implies that class isn t a factor in how women act, but their amount of education. Something else Smollett expresses is that women are not strong willed and easy to sway. After Humphry apologizes in nicer clothing for accidentally exposing his bare bottom to Tabitha, Jery observes this compliment and humiliation had some effect upon Tabby (97). • 28. Student Justifications for Abusing Adderall What Are U of M Students Perceptions of Adderall? INTRODUCTION With the increased pressure to succeed and the chaotic collegiate lifestyle taking a toll on students, Adderall has evolved into the go to drug. The Class II prescription amphetamine is intended to solely treat individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. The stimulant works to enhance concentration by stimulating the production of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain (Stolz 585). Recently, there has been a dramatic increase in the use of Adderall on college campuses to enhance academic performance and cram for exams through the over stimulation of the brain, therefore creating super enhanced focus (Stolz 585), deeming it the smart drug. Due to the fact that several students are not truly diagnosed with ADHD, a majority of this use on campuses is illegal; this has become a growing problem affecting the health of students and entailing issues of competiveness and fairness (Jacobs 1). In recent years, the abuse of Adderall has circulated hundreds of college campuses and even secondary schools. Unfortunately, students are being deceived by the stimulant drug s valuable qualities, masking the serious, detrimental effects that the drug induces. Even worse, contributing to Adderall s extensive abuse across campuses, instead of condemnation it is implicitly being praised and validated by parents and students who view these drugs as a means of academic ... There are multitudes of different types of pitches that pitchers throw such as fastballs, pitches in which velocity is the main focus of the pitcher throwing it, and off speed pitches, pitchers where the movement of the pitch is more important to the pitcher than the velocity of the pitch. In the category of fastballs the 4 seam fastball is generally regarded as the fastest pitch available in the arsenal of the pitcher. It is held with the index and middle fingers across the seam of the baseball and thrown with a downward motion to maximize velocity. Along with these different types of pitches there are also different ways in which to throw them. Some pitchers throw the ball in a submarine style, or a style in which the pitchers releases the ball with their arm close to the ground, almost underhanded in motion. This throwing motion typically leads to decreased velocity as compared with an overhanded throwing motion, but more movement on the pitches and a higher rate of deception. Humans are affected by choices made by others and ourselves and things that are meant to happen. Free will is being able to make a choice to do something on our own or to act in certain situations independently of natural, social, or divine restraints (Encyclopedia Britannica). Social cues are verbal or nonverbal hints that are meant to guide peers about their actions, the conversation they re having, etc.. Fatalism follows the belief that events occur naturally, but without influence of humans. Determinism supports the idea that our outcomes are based on our choices and that they are meant to happen that way.
