The Psalms Function As A School Of Prayer
Introduction
For almost two thousand years, the Psalms were essential to the devotional practice of the Christian
church, teaching the believer to pray in response to the living God, a confession of praise and glory to
the Almighty God. Thus, when the contemporary church thus that she is joining a large group of
people that for nearly thirty centuries based their prayers and worship in those ancients words. In
Eugene H. Peterson s view, there is no other place where can be seen such a deeply and detailed form,
of the human dimension in the Bible history as in the Psalms.
The aim of this paper is to analyze how the Psalms should be used in the church today. For that, this
study is divided into three parts: First, the Psalms and Prayer, where will be discussed how the book of
Psalms function as a school of prayer. Second, Christians and the use of the Psalms, in this topic will
be highlighted how Christians can find Jesus in the Psalms. Finally, putting into practice is a topic that
will explain the value and the need of using the Psalm in the church.
The Psalms and Prayer
The Psalter was the school that Israel and the church appealed to learn how to pray, which along with
Isaiah was the most cited book by Jesus and the apostles in the New Testament. For the first Christians
the rules were, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms. Thus, as their Jewish
fathers listened to the Word of God through the Psalms its instructions and laments

New President s House Research Paper
History: Before the President s House left us without a trace, it was a working and living space for
many important people. The new President s House opened in 1767, was built by Mary Lawrence
Masters. It existed as a government site. With the new nation s capital as Philadelphia with
Washington, DC being created, our leaders would now have somewhere to work, and living space.
People like George Washington, John Adams, Richard Penn, General Sir William Howe, and Benedict
Arnold each worked here making the brick home their headquarters. The grandson of William Penn
(the founder of Pennsylvania); Richard Penn married Polly Masters (the oldest daughter of the founder
and builder of the house). The newlywed couple received the home as a wedding present from Mary
Lawrence Masters. Richard and Polly owned the house from 1772 1775, and right after, General Sir
William Howe made the house his residence from 1777 to 1778, not sticking around for a long time.
Benedict Arnold then came after him, and made the wondrous house his headquarters from 1778 to
1779. George Washington stayed from 1790 to 1797 he spent quite a long time in this house, and also
signed important documents here. Adams only stayed for three years while coming into the house in
1797. He left in 1800 and moved into the freshly finished White House in DC. ... Show more content

Response To The Lark
I have never been to the place in this passage, yet I feel the heartbreak of leaving it. Music allows me
to go to places I ve never been. When I hear a song, I always see a video or a picture in my mind.
They form like a message directly from the songwriter. People have asked me if I have synesthesia,
but that s not quite accurate. I don t actually see these images in front of me. They just appear in my
head without any effort.
For a long time, I have tried writing down what I see. I try to capture the setting, the characters, and
the emotions as I play the song over and over. For The Lark , I tried to capture the feeling of missing
the place my home once was. While writing can get close, I believe some things can never be

Lord Rama And The Epics Of The Ramayana And Bhagavad Gita
Dharmic traditions have been influenced greatly by the epics of the Ramayana and the Bhagavad Gita.
Both epics involve open dialogue with an avatar of Vishnu and are greatly concerned with the ideals in
fulfilling Dharma. In both epics both Lord Ram and Krishna discuss how to be the ideal person.
However Lord Ram is more concerned with being the perfect son and husband and Krishna focuses on
the dharmic deeds of a warrior and how to fulfill dharma in order to be liberated. The Bhagavad Gita
focuses on a dialogue between Krishna and Prince Arjuna, while the Ramayana is an epic that focuses
on a journey fulfilled by lord Rama making it more of applicable to all castes and people. The
Ramayana focuses more on the need to obey and respect each other and one s rightful duties. These
dharmic beliefs focus on relationships. Lord Ram must obey his father, King Dasaratha, in his
decision to take away his inheritance of the throne and must respect that decision. Although no one
except for the new king, Bharata s, mother wanted him to leave and convinced the King that he must
fulfil his oath he made to her many years ago. Rama strove to be the perfect son thus fulfilling his duty
of obeying his father s wishes. Even as Bharata begged him to take his place as ruler instead, Rama
denied it on the basis that he had to obey his father and follow his every word. As Rama obeys his
father, Sita, Rama s wife, convinces Rama that she shall go with him, thus fulfilling her dharma s

The For A Family Child Care Center
Introduction
This is my Auntie Judelyn s house. It is located at 3113 El Paseo Alameda in Bay Farm. This is a big
house and it has a second floor. I mainly focus on the first floor to design an ECE environment. I
chose this house because it has an enormous space to transform into family child care center. This
house will be great where children can do various activities, feel comfortable and freely to explore in
certain learning centers.
Evaluation There are a lot of elements that would currently work for a family child care center. As you
walk into the house, there are three windows. There are two windows located at the living room and
these two windows are closeby to the yard, which is great. There is a natural light and it will make the
children be able to view the yard. The other window located at the cooking area, which is also good,
so that children can view the outside environment while they are cooking and eating. The floor is
made of tiles. Tile floors have the advantage of being very easy to appear clean and can be polished
well. There are three big carpets that are set up or lad in the floor, which are located in the living
room, cooking area and dining room. Carpet has the advantage where it make the floor a little softer to
sit on and for children to play or do activities. Carpet can be useful for seating areas like circle time,
blocks and many more.

Epiphany In Miss Brill
As the story Miss Brill begins, Miss Brill comes across as a woman who has a childlike mind and is
isolated from others around. She sits on a bench in the Jardins Publiques and her imagination makes
the people around her become characters in the play . By the end of the short story Miss Brill it is
shown that she doesn t have an epiphany. An epiphany is usually a sudden manifestation or perception
of the essential nature or meaning of something. An intuitive grasp of reality through something (such
as an event) usually simple and striking an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure. Also
known as a revealing scene or moment (Merriam webster.com). I believe Miss Brill fails to come to
the realization of her isolation and loneliness.
The first indication Miss Brill doesn t reach an epiphany was her childlike mind, and that is because to
Miss Brill the fur is a person. She cherishes and speaks to the scarf as if it is a person. She says
phrases like Dear little thing (82), What has happened to me (82), and ... Little Rogue (82). Her
interactions with the fur helps her feel as if she isn t lonely. The fox fur gives her company and allows
her to have a form of interaction that she doesn t have with the people who she sees in the park on her
Sunday mornings. The fur is a distraction from Miss Brill s loneliness and her sense of isolation. It
allows for her to be unaware of her life and what it has come to. The fur is one of her few cover ups to
mask her from

Meaning Of Confessional Poetry
Confessional Poetry was the term given to the works of a group of American poets including Robert
Lowell, Anne Sexton, John Berryman, Sylvia Plath, W. D. Snodgrass, and less often Theodore
Roethke and Allen Ginsberg who were writing verse in the late nineteen fifties and sixties. This label,
confessional, was so named misnamed by critic M. L. Rosenthal in a 1959 review of Robert Lowell s
Life Studies, because of the personal voice and colloquial style the volume presented which was
unlike the formality of Lowell s previous collections. For their subject matter these poets used parts of
life not ordinarily presented in the public domain, such as frank revelations about marital infidelities,
experiences with drug and alcohol addictions, mental breakdowns, and suicide attempts. Yet Rosenthal
s term, confessional, radically simplified the work that it labeled. Not only did many famous figures
such as Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, and John Berryman committed suicide in this school but also used
their poems as a public forum for engaging in literal and philosophical ... Show more content on

their survival of attempted suicide. It is her speakers that wish to die and so defiantly fail at
completing their own suicides that interest me most. The speaker of the poem Lady Lazarus
infamously claims that Dying / is an art, and it is Plath s artistry of suicide which makes her poetry so
successful.103 Her speakers are perfected in their inability to die thus, Plath s success of the failed

Types of Dementia
DEMENTIA S Dementia is a vague term used to describe a person that has loss of memory and
change in behavior and activities. It goes beyond the forgetfulness and absent minded. It is commonly
used In reference to the elderly, when cognitive abilities start to slip from one s own control. Dementia
cannot be diagnosed due to memory loss alone. It must be accompanied by two or more interruptions
of brain function. Individuals who suffer from a disease that causes dementia undergo a number of
changes. Simple daily tasks such as dressing or bathing may also become a problem. Anything can be
a cause for dementia, a stroke, a car accident or even another disease. Here, I will compare four most

Some types of traumatic brain injury particularly if repetitive, such as received by sports players have
been linked to certain dementias appearing later in life. Evidence is weak, however, that a single brain
injury will raise the likelihood of having a degenerative dementia such as Alzheimer s disease.
Dementia can also be caused by Prion diseases from certain types of protein, as in CJD (Creutzfeldt
Jakob disease) and GSS (Gerstmann Straussler Scheinker syndrome). HIV infection when the problem
is simply termed HIV associated dementia. How the virus damages brain cells is not certain.
Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (CJD) is a rare, degenerative, invariably fatal brain disorder. It affects about
one person in every one million people per year worldwide; in the United States there are about 300
cases per year. CJD usually appears in later life and runs a rapid course. Typically, onset of symptoms
occurs about age 60, and about 90 percent of individuals die within 1 year. In the early stages of
disease, people may have failing memory, behavioral changes, lack of coordination and visual
disturbances. As the illness progresses, mental deterioration becomes pronounced and involuntary
movements, blindness, weakness of extremities, and coma may occur. Reversible factors some
dementias can be treated by reversing the effects of underlying causes, including medication
interactions, depression, vitamin deficiencies (for example,

The Problem Of Teen Pregnancy Rates
Introduction to Nature and Scope of Research
In reviewing the literature of multiple studies and reports, I found that there is significantly more data
and research in regards to the problem of teen pregnancy and the associated problems that are
attributed to adolescent childbearing than there are specific to the effectiveness and efficacy of second
chance homes. Second chance homes help teen mothers and their children comply with welfare reform
requirements under the 1996 law (Housing and Urban Development, 2016). Second chance homes can
also support teen families who are homeless or currently residing in foster care (Housing and Urban
Development, 2016). In addition, research has shown that over 60% of teen parents have experienced
sexual and physical abuse by household member requiring the need for alternative housing options
(Housing and Urban Development, 2016). Assessment of Effectiveness of Current Policy and
Limitations of existing Research
I would find it hard to say that the second chance home policy is effective simply based on the
currently decreasing teen pregnancy rates. Since PRWORA was enacted in 1996, there have been
several major policy changes that could also be affecting the decrease in teen pregnancy. Two
examples would be the U.S. Supreme Court ruling to extend the constitutional right to privacy to a
minor s decision to obtain contraceptives and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010
which gave all insured minors access to free

Executive Management, Board Of Directors
In general, the corporations work towards meeting the end goal of adding value to its shareholders
and/or stakeholders, but the way this value is added and who is given priority while adding this value
depends on the perspectives (session1 slides) corporations choose to fulfill the objective of the given
corporation. Corporation structures involve executive management, board of directors and its internal
and external stakeholders. The executive management are at the helm of running the company,
executing strategy and managing company operations, while corporate boards are supposed to keep an
careful watch and guide executive management activity. Boards are primarily performing advisory and

Martin Luther King Jr s Letter From A Birmingham Jail
Martin Luther King Jr. and Mohandas K. Gandhi were civil rights activists who practiced a form of
movement to gain equal rights amongst their nation. King and Gandhi were most important for their
allegiance to nonviolence. King demonstrated his notion of nonviolence in his letter titled, Letter from
a Birmingham Jail , and Gandhi in his writing, from Non Violent Resistance . The two are closely
related and share common and distinct themes; both held considerably comparable belief toward
nonviolence, laws, and religion.
As both understood the evil of oppression, King and Gandhi conveys that violence could not be used
as the measure to achieve equality in their movements. Nonviolence was utilized by both King and
Gandhi to bring focus to their oppressors evil actions and show the society that justice can be earned
without violence. King used nonviolence as a weapon to stop racism, segregation, and injustice toward
African American in the United States. King did a non violent campaign in Birmingham, as King
stated, four basic steps: (1) collection of the facts to determine whether injustices are alive; (2)
negotiation; (3) self purification; and (4) direct action (p.234). King believes, the tension created by
direct action is the answer to receiving results. Negotiation is an ultimately more humane approach but
allows less results. King concluded that direct action would create chaos that would open the door for
negotiation. Similarly, Gandhi revealed a method of direct

Analysis Of Ace Ventura And School Of Rock
In both, Ace Ventura and School of Rock, comedy is proposed from the outset; even the title and
movie cover are comedic. Setting up pretend worlds creates distances for the audience allowing them
to laugh at the comedies. In Ace Ventura, the main character, Ace Ventura, is a pet detective hired to
find a missing dolphin who is kidnapped before the Superbowl. This concept suggest absurdity at both
the ridiculousness of someone kidnapping a dolphin and a private pet detective being hired to find it.
This concept also sets up a lot of jokes throughout the movie; Ace has a special bond with animals, an
ability to communicate with animals, and in many ways acts like an animal, especially a dog. At no
point is the concept of the movie taken seriously by the audience so the outrageousness of Ace s
character and his actions are cartoonish.
This is a very different tone from School of Rock, where the movie is set in a somewhat more realistic
world that the audience is able to identify with. School of Rock creates comedy through a fish out of
water scenario where the immature, rock and roll loving, Dewey impersonates his roommate, Ned,
and becomes a substitute teacher for ten year olds. The scheming Dewey devises a plan to create a
rock band out of his class and win a contest, setting up multiple comedic approaches.
The role of Ace Ventura seems to be written especially for Jim Carrey as it takes advantage of all of
his physical comedy gifts. Jim Carrey honed his comedic

The Latin American Revolution was a period in Latin America was there was much success and lots of

The Revolution affected people in the Latin American Revolution because people were able to gain

Descartes Was A Philosopher That Did Not Take Any Truth
Descartes was a philosopher that did not take any truth without questioning it. This is key in truly
understanding the world around us. A real seeker of truth must doubt everything once in their lifetime.
Without doubt, we have no reason. Without reason, we cannot hold any truths to be correct. Descartes
truly understood how the rudiments vested in us by an infinite power play a powerful role in the way
we live today.
1. What is your initial point of view?
My initial point of view is that in order to seek the truth, we must doubt. In doubting, we critically
analyze the reason behind our thought process. What exactly makes a piece of wax that piece of wax?
Is it even wax? We must doubt even the simplest of truths in order to reach a higher state of knowing.
2. How can you define your point of view more clearly?
I can define my point of view more clearly by defining truth and doubt. Truth can be defined as an
idea that holds certainty and be able to question and analyze. Doubt can be defined as uncertainty with
a questionable premise.
3. What is an example of your point of view?
An example of my point of view is in Descartes most noted wax example. We take into consideration
a piece of wax, which has a color, shape, size, and will emit a sound. Once we burn the wax,
everything changes. We don t question that it is the same wax, though. But why? How do we know
that it is the same wax? Descartes did exactly this, and concluded that what he saw he grasped solely

The economic interest of the Unites States greatly outweighs the benefit of maintaining a Cuban

failed and the consequences of a decades old embargo land squarely on the general population of Cuba
and the business interests of the Unites States. American business have much to gain with the removal

One of the issues I stand against is for the right to keep and bear arms. The Republican party supports
the right to keep guns but the Democratic party is against it and so am I. In this issue, my ideas
diverge with the Republican party since it opposes the laws which limit the open use of guns. Even
Don Huffines states that every Texans should have legal rights to possess their fire arms. Republican
party are against the tax regulations of guns and argue to make a strong law for carrying guns as they
believe that it s God given right. However, I am against this action of Don Huffines as it can be more
severe in some contexts. Recently, even in my college Northlake college of Irving, a girl was
murdered by a guy who had gun which happened when I was there. What is the guarantee that such
acts will not be repeated in future? Carrying guns can be easy processes to threaten anyone showing
its power and as an international student, it sometimes scares me. Obviously, by carrying guns and

Brown Shirts The most dynamic segment of the Nazi movements before it came to power was
Sturmabteilung (SA) or Brown Shirts which protected Hitler s political meetings from the attacks by

Hitler in 1920s and 1930s. Their name Brown Shirts came after the uniform that they used which was
inspired by the Mussolini s Black Shirts, and their main duty was to eliminate all the enemies and

happen and he would be on top of it (Hancock 2). Furthermore, he suggested SA and army to be
combined for his new force, and this suggestion horrified senior officers. Senior officers of
Reichswehr became horrified because traditionally they have seemed SA as street thugs without
discipline and class who did bad things to humanity. Among these beliefs, Hitler also was concerned
with the chief of SA who was becoming a threat for the Nazi party. All in all, Rőhm was not satisfied
with Hitlers choices and he sends Hitler a letter writing that he is betraying everyone and that his
commanders are not the ones who will lead to a revolution as SA would ( The Sturmabteilung or SA

and decided to get rid of officers of SA. This resulted to the Night of the Long Knives which took
place in June 1934. The Night of Long Knives is known as the purge where SS or the first paramilitary

Ccc Camp History
After dinner, the men had free time until lights out at 10 P.M.
The U.S. Army ran the camps, but foresters, carpenters and other people directed the work. The CCC
fought forest fires, planted trees, built roads, buildings, picnic areas, swimming areas, campgrounds
and created many state parks. When not working, the men socialized and had opportunities to learn
crafts and skills.
Each camp had about 200 men, including an army officer and junior officer, camp doctor, educational
advisor, and the project supervisor.
The average camp had about 24 buildings, including kitchen, mess hall, barracks and quarters for the
officers. Many camps began as tent cities until the permanent camp could be built.
Pennsylvania had 151 CCC camps, the second ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The West Rim Trail high on the canyon rim crosses Owassee Slide Run on a wooden footbridge.

Owassee Slide Run is the site of one of the Gorge s log slides, during the lumber era. The log slide
was used on a year round basis: during the winter the logs slid down on ice; following the snowmelt
the slide was greased to ease the descent of the logs. The logs were then loaded onto rafts and arks and
floated downstream.
Keep looking for wildlife here. This is pristine territory and there is little human access to the Gorge
from this point on, except via the creek and the rail trail. The road across from us is a dead end that

Essay Pip s Great Expectations
In the novel, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, the main character Philip Pirrip, who is known
as Pip throughout the novel, has a series of great expectations that he goes through. The title of the
novel, as many other great book titles, comes with various meanings that are present in the story. In
the literal sense Pip s great expectations refer to the 19th century meaning, which involve receiving a
large inheritance. Meanwhile, on a deeper level Pip sets goals that he hopes to accomplish in the
future which could also be referred to as his great expectations . The title, with these multiple
meanings that are attached to it, ends up being ironic after all is said and done at the end of the novel.

Pip then goes on to address the reader directly and explains that [t]hat was a memorable day to [him],
for it made great changes in [him], (Dickens 70). After meeting with Estella several times and
becoming extremely fond of her, despite her bipolar attitudes towards him, Ms. Havisham suddenly
decides to recompense Pip for his time and then tells him that he no longer has to come back to the
Satis House. Everyday after this, Pip continuously thinks of Estella and of how he must become a
gentleman in order to be at the same level as Estella and eventually marry her. Another character
Biddy (whose relationship to Pip is somewhat complicated) begins acting as Pip s teacher and Pip says
[w]hatever [he] acquired, [he] tried to impart to Joe, because [he] wanted to make Joe less ignorant
and common. Pip s plans to become a well mannered gentleman to be worthy of high society and to be
worthy of Estella s affection are two goals or great expectations that Pip sets for himself that
ultimately carry the plot of the novel along.
After being released from Ms. Havishams service, Pip becomes Joe s apprentice. Four years into his
apprenticeship, Pip is approached by a man who he vaguely remembers meeting once at the Satis
House. This man is Jaggers, a lawyer, who proceeds to tell Pip that an anonymous benefactor has

Argumentative Essay On Life Of Frederick Douglass
Upon closely surveying the life of Frederick Douglass, multiple valuable life lessons become
prevalent and each contain the potential to be expounded on and used for future teachings and
instilling adequate moral behavior in the lives of each individual who encounters the virtuous wisdom
provided by the life of Frederick Douglass. Achievement in topics such as gratefulness, boldness, free
will, knowledge, and being an overcomer are provided through the acts of Douglass and have
impacted millions. First, we are able to view each of the freedoms and privileges we have: we are in
charge of our own lives, we know our birthdays and ages, the right to speak up without fear of
punishment, we have clothes, a bed to sleep in, and parents to raise and care for us. Commonly these
freedoms are taken advantage of and not truly realized as privileges until we look at the life of
Frederick Douglass, a man born into slavery and remained slave throughout the 1800s until escaping.
As he began to grow and develop as a seemingly normal child, he was often placed in unfathomable
situations and lacked the essential knowledge to be a contributing member of society due to the
oppression placed upon him by his masters. Douglass went without proper nourishment, love and
affection, bedding, and clothing; all essentials we take advantage of and never consider our lives
without. Individuals complain relentlessly about not having a new vehicle, a favorite restaurant in
town, or the latest fashion

Essay on Critical Analysis
Critical Analysis of Guernica By Bryce Craig
Spanish artist Pablo Picasso can often be collectively seen as the greatest and most influential artist of
the twentieth century. In a historical sense he encompassed all that is to be a practicing modernist
artist and prevailed as one of the most significant artists overall in human history. Picasso s most well
renowned painting presents to his audience a graphic reflection of the horrors and brutality of war;
Guernica (1937) depicts the Spanish town of the same name being torn apart by the explosive fury that
was the German air raid on the innocent and unaware village during the Spanish Civil War. The
painting is currently housed in the Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid yet also has a reputable ... Show more

Through his training he became proficient in countless fields but was predominately a painter and
famously explored the Cubist movement. Cubism was an art movement developed in the early 20th
century that was concerned with the dissembling of images and their analytical or synthetic
reconstruction, as well as the refinement of detail and emphasis on bold shape. Picasso found artists
such as Delacroix, Cezanne and Manet extremely influential, as well as his artistic father, Jose Blasco.
Through his challenging of convention to his persistent experimentation of concepts he created some
of the greatest artworks of the 20th century, such as The Old Guitarist, 1903, Les Demoiselles d
Avignon, 1907 and his most well known piece Guernica, 1937.
The audiences of Guernica, 1937 are presented with a chilling message of the terrors of war and its
traumatic impact on humanity; this is the understood function of Picasso s iconic painting, to evoke
emotional response and educate the public of the event. Picasso wished to express his anti war
message to the people, and what more of an opportunity would he have then being commissioned
earlier that year to create an artwork for the 1937 World s Fair, Paris. After the initial exhibition the
work went on tour and has ending up in many different

Iago, the Outsider of Shakespeare’s Othello
In any story with a recurring dark theme there always must be an outsider from humanity who
somehow stands out from the seemingly equal community. In the case of Shakespeare s Othello the
outsider from humanity would be Iago for he truly stands out from the rest of society. Although
Othello may be physically put out of the community, it seems that on an emotional and egotistical
level Iago puts himself out of society further then Othello s blackness does. He is not merely
manipulative, as other villains are; he turns aspects of truth and good qualities, which he does not
possess, and uses them as weakness for his own scheme. He deceives people to follow his plans by
telling them the truth and what seems to be good advice. By standing on ... Show more content on

Iago has no conscience and therefore unlike Othello or any other tragic hero asks for no redemption.
One of Iago s astucious qualities is his ability to take the good quality of others and use them against
them. He takes it even further, however, as he has no realization of the evil he has done. Iago suspects
Othello may have slept with his wife. He is not positive, but says that surety is not necessary.
Iago
But for my sport and profit. I hate the Moor,
And it is thought abroad that twixt my sheets
H as done my office. I know not if t be true,
But I, for mere suspicion in that kind,
Will do, as if for surety. (I, iii, 379 381)
This shows how Iago isn t really concerned about Emilia being unfaithful with Othello or anyone for
that matter. He just wants to ruin Othello beyond reason.
Iago takes what most of us see as good and uses those traits against characters in the play. He is able
to take something as pure as Othello and Desdemona s love or Cassio s loyalty as a weakness that he
can pounce on. He holds me well; The better shall my purpose work on him. (I, iii, 381 382) Iago
possesses no good qualities so as a jealous pay back he takes trust and turns it against the trusting and
then tries to take it even further for himself.
Iago
Cassio s a proper man. Let me see now;
To get his place, and to plume up my will
In double knavery. How? How? Let s

Essay On Budgeting
Did you know Google AdWords just announced on October 4, 2017, advertisers budgets will be
automatically enabled to exceed their daily allotment by two times?
Is this an optional change?
Nope!
Is this a good change and will it affect how you actually allocate your daily ad spend? Well, that
depends.
What Does the New Adwords Daily Budget Update Really Mean for You?
When it comes right down to it what s changed? And do you actually lose any control over your daily
AdWords budget spend?
Google hasn t made any major changes to AdWords in quite some time until now. Google quietly
made the announcement about their new daily budget policy. But the elusive way it was presented
makes advertisers a little nervous because they don t want the ... Show more content on

However, the end result of this policy, which is yet to be seen, has advertisers concluding that setting a
daily budget means nothing now.
Potential Issues (Good and Bad) as a Result of This New Update
There are several things that are going to change and perhaps be a little more challenging. For
example:
1. You ll probably never come in under your monthly advertising budget again. That could be good or
bad depending on how you look at it.
2. This change will help you maximize your monthly ad spend by showing your ads to more people
and that s great. Isn t that what you want? Of course you do. But it s also an opportunity for Google to
increase their ad revenue because this will have every advertiser coming a little closer to spending all
of their monthly budget. So it appears to be a win win for everyone.
3. Your daily tracking reports will show more sporadic numbers. On some days your ads will be
overserved and other days they will fall short, but the daily fluctuations will go both ways which
means your spend will level out by month s end.
Explaining How it All Works
Google has always had the ability to exceed the daily AdWords budget you ve selected; however, they
previously had it capped at 20 percent versus the 100 percent they are now using to manipulate their
policy.
This process is called overdelivery. There are some

Survival Strategies: After Cost Cutting, Companies Turn Toward Price Rises They Don t Call Them
That, But Some Trim Discounts And Add New Premiums Charging Extra for Odd Sizes By Timothy
Aeppel 1,783 words 18 September 2002 The Wall Street Journal (Copyright (c) 2002, Dow Jones
Company, Inc.) Inside the walls of American industrial companies, something unusual is going on: an
all out search for new ways to charge more money without raising prices. Goodyear Tire Rubber Co.

to undercut Goodyear elsewhere. Jergens Inc., a Cleveland industrial parts maker, has started charging
big premiums for small orders of fasteners that it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The information goes to the company s tactical pricing group in Akron. The 10 person group tries to
determine whether the competitor s offer is for real, using information gleaned from what it knows of
the other company s strategy in that area, and more importantly, whether Goodyear could make money
if it matches the offer. Goodyear has had a pricing team since 1998, but it didn t have final say on such
deals until January. To really gain control of prices and increase them Goodyear had to crack down on
the deep discounts it gives its largest distributors. The prices were so low that regional distributors
were loading their warehouses and reselling the tires outside their own area. Even with the added cost
of transportation, they were able to cut into Goodyear s own sales to its smaller distributors, forcing
the street price of Goodyear s tires down.

So Goodyear in January cut the size of its discounts to large distributors. Many big distributors
showed their displeasure by reducing their orders, cutting into Goodyear s revenues in the last two
quarters. But Goodyear hasn t budged and said the move is paying off. As we ve closed the gap

Apologetics
1. What are some ways the Christian gospel is perceived in our culture?
Christian gospel in many ways is perceived in this day and age are a lost word. People have the art of
praying and staying faithful to the word of God. God provided us with all kinds of blessings and
opportunities in life so that we can flourish and prosper. Also God took all our sin to the cross and
forgave us for everything we done that was not right in his eyes. We need to also understand that there
is only one God and we need to cherish it every day of our lives. Today s culture perceives the Gospel
almost the same was as old days but how man tries to rewrite the word to fits our society today, people
believe that s God except so of things that are going on today ... Show more content on

4. What are some specific intellectual reasons people may reject the Christian gospel? Some of the
reasons intellectually that people reject the gospel is that they are not understanding or don t want to
understand the power that comes behind the word. The world develops minds that think and breathe
social media, television and other thing that separates us from the gospel. Other reasons is that we are
not discipline enough in our faith to want to learn the real truth behind the gospel. The gospel tells us
everything that God wants and have instore for us, until we get the discipline to read and learn we as
people will never know its meaning to make our lives better. 5. What can Christians do to address
these objections and better communicate the Christian gospel? We can just be a testament to what
beautiful blessings that we have received by being faithful to the word. Christians need to show the
non believers that there is good that comes out of having faith in the gospel. Once non believers
understand the word and how powerful it is sky s the limit on the many blessing with one will

Intellectual Property Essay
Intellectual property are the legal rights (control and ownership) of creations, such as ideas;
inventions; designs, etc. for the use in commerce (Bainbridge, 2012). Intellectual law in countries
seeks to deter individuals or organizations from copying or capitalizing upon another s work. The
main areas protected by protect intellectual property law include: patent, copyright, trademark, and
trade secret. Intellectual Property can be categorized under the following:

On the other hand, Patents could be expensive and there is no guarantee of a grant but most important
is that the secrecy that comes with patents does not necessarily equate to a better product or a good
business idea for the product. This is a decision the inventor must take into account.
There is also a need to have a design protection system. The fundamental idea being that design
protection encourages novel design and prevents rapid growth of identical designs because producers
are blocked from copying. Visual appeal is a key factor in influencing the decision of buyers. It makes
sense even more when the products serve the same function, the design of a product could potentially
sway consumers, and therefore aesthetics are important (WIPO, 2004).
The main idea being that everyone needs to come up with their own design. There are two kinds of
design rights:
a. Unregistered Design Right: is one where you do not have to apply to protect the product. It covers
only 3D items because it protects the shape and configuration of the item and the right lasts from 10
15 years. An interesting clause with the unregistered design, is that the license can be granted to other
parties in the last five years. It also leaves room for an agreement on costs can be reached with the
other party and the original producer of the item.
b. Registered Design: must be applied for at some cost. It focuses on

Persuasive Essay On The Confederate Flag
NEW Persuasive Essay Writing Frame (Outline)
Introduction Paragraph
Ever wonder why rebelious symbols such as the confederate flag are still allowed its showing betrayal
how the country was split in half and how we shed so much blood cause of that. You could be walking
across the street and see the confederate flag and you may think nothing of it or you might think of all
the lives lost and the separation in the country.
The confederate flag was used in the civil war where the south separated from the rest of the states.
The reason for this was to keep slavery to not loose labor, they also didn t want to treat african
american slaves as equals. The flag was used as the most popular symbol for the confederates. We
fought our self and lost so many lives for this cause. In the end the north won, the south(confederate)
join the u.s once more and slavery was not allowed and was passed as a law.
Thesis Statement: Three reasons why Confederate monuments or flags should be removed are they lie
to themselves (white supremacists) by honoring the hero, even though they know they did wrong, The
Nazi flag and the Confederate battle flag were designed by groups that rejected the founding American
creed of the Declaration of Independence, that all men are created equal, and It was a flag flown by a
few regiments in the Civil War but widely popularized later by the Ku Klux Klan.

3: 360 Degree Viewing This isn t a well established design idea because not many people are doing it,
obviously lol. You would need to have access to the items and a camera system that will allow you to

multiple pictures so when clicking Next or an arrow to view the next picture, it would look like the
product is turning in a 360 degree motion. It s the same concept except the user has to click more lol.
4: The Grid When searching through products, you may want to have as many of them showing as

The Psalms Function As A School Of Prayer Introduction For almost two thousand years, the Psalms were essential to the devotional practice of the Christian church, teaching the believer to pray in response to the living God, a confession of praise and glory to the Almighty God. Thus, when the contemporary church thus that she is joining a large group of people that for nearly thirty centuries based their prayers and worship in those ancients words. In Eugene H. Peterson s view, there is no other place where can be seen such a deeply and detailed form, of the human dimension in the Bible history as in the Psalms. The aim of this paper is to analyze how the Psalms should be used in the church today. For that, this study is divided into three parts: First, the Psalms and Prayer, where will be discussed how the book of Psalms function as a school of prayer. Second, Christians and the use of the Psalms, in this topic will be highlighted how Christians can find Jesus in the Psalms. Finally, putting into practice is a topic that will explain the value and the need of using the Psalm in the church. The Psalms and Prayer The Psalter was the school that Israel and the church appealed to learn how to pray, which along with Isaiah was the most cited book by Jesus and the apostles in the New Testament. For the first Christians the rules were, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms. • 3. New President s House Research Paper History: Before the President s House left us without a trace, it was a working and living space for many important people. The new President s House opened in 1767, was built by Mary Lawrence Masters. It existed as a government site. With the new nation s capital as Philadelphia with Washington, DC being created, our leaders would now have somewhere to work, and living space. People like George Washington, John Adams, Richard Penn, General Sir William Howe, and Benedict Arnold each worked here making the brick home their headquarters. The grandson of William Penn (the founder of Pennsylvania); Richard Penn married Polly Masters (the oldest daughter of the founder and builder of the house). The newlywed couple received the home as a wedding present from Mary Lawrence Masters. Richard and Polly owned the house from 1772 1775, and right after, General Sir William Howe made the house his residence from 1777 to 1778, not sticking around for a long time. Benedict Arnold then came after him, and made the wondrous house his headquarters from 1778 to 1779. George Washington stayed from 1790 to 1797 he spent quite a long time in this house, and also signed important documents here. Adams only stayed for three years while coming into the house in 1797. When I hear a song, I always see a video or a picture in my mind. They form like a message directly from the songwriter. People have asked me if I have synesthesia, but that s not quite accurate. I don t actually see these images in front of me. They just appear in my head without any effort. For a long time, I have tried writing down what I see. I try to capture the setting, the characters, and the emotions as I play the song over and over. For The Lark , I tried to capture the feeling of missing the place my home once was. • 5. Lord Rama And The Epics Of The Ramayana And Bhagavad Gita Dharmic traditions have been influenced greatly by the epics of the Ramayana and the Bhagavad Gita. Both epics involve open dialogue with an avatar of Vishnu and are greatly concerned with the ideals in fulfilling Dharma. In both epics both Lord Ram and Krishna discuss how to be the ideal person. However Lord Ram is more concerned with being the perfect son and husband and Krishna focuses on the dharmic deeds of a warrior and how to fulfill dharma in order to be liberated. The Bhagavad Gita focuses on a dialogue between Krishna and Prince Arjuna, while the Ramayana is an epic that focuses on a journey fulfilled by lord Rama making it more of applicable to all castes and people. The Ramayana focuses more on the need to obey and respect each other and one s rightful duties. These dharmic beliefs focus on relationships. Lord Ram must obey his father, King Dasaratha, in his decision to take away his inheritance of the throne and must respect that decision. Although no one except for the new king, Bharata s, mother wanted him to leave and convinced the King that he must fulfil his oath he made to her many years ago. Rama strove to be the perfect son thus fulfilling his duty of obeying his father s wishes. Even as Bharata begged him to take his place as ruler instead, Rama denied it on the basis that he had to obey his father and follow his every word. As Rama obeys his father, Sita, Rama s wife, convinces Rama that she shall go with him, thus fulfilling her dharma s being a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The For A Family Child Care Center Introduction This is my Auntie Judelyn s house. It is located at 3113 El Paseo Alameda in Bay Farm. This is a big house and it has a second floor. I mainly focus on the first floor to design an ECE environment. I chose this house because it has an enormous space to transform into family child care center. This house will be great where children can do various activities, feel comfortable and freely to explore in certain learning centers. Evaluation There are a lot of elements that would currently work for a family child care center. As you walk into the house, there are three windows. There are two windows located at the living room and these two windows are closeby to the yard, which is great. There is a natural light and it will make the children be able to view the yard. The other window located at the cooking area, which is also good, so that children can view the outside environment while they are cooking and eating. The floor is made of tiles. Tile floors have the advantage of being very easy to appear clean and can be polished well. There are three big carpets that are set up or lad in the floor, which are located in the living room, cooking area and dining room. Carpet has the advantage where it make the floor a little softer to sit on and for children to play or do activities. Carpet can be useful for seating areas like circle time, blocks and many more. Improvements Plan I would transform ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Epiphany In Miss Brill As the story Miss Brill begins, Miss Brill comes across as a woman who has a childlike mind and is isolated from others around. She sits on a bench in the Jardins Publiques and her imagination makes the people around her become characters in the play . By the end of the short story Miss Brill it is shown that she doesn t have an epiphany. An epiphany is usually a sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something. An intuitive grasp of reality through something (such as an event) usually simple and striking an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure. Also known as a revealing scene or moment (Merriam webster.com). I believe Miss Brill fails to come to the realization of her isolation and loneliness. The first indication Miss Brill doesn t reach an epiphany was her childlike mind, and that is because to Miss Brill the fur is a person. She cherishes and speaks to the scarf as if it is a person. She says phrases like Dear little thing (82), What has happened to me (82), and ... Little Rogue (82). Her interactions with the fur helps her feel as if she isn t lonely. The fox fur gives her company and allows her to have a form of interaction that she doesn t have with the people who she sees in the park on her Sunday mornings. The fur is a distraction from Miss Brill s loneliness and her sense of isolation. It allows for her to be unaware of her life and what it has come to. The fur is one of her few cover ups to mask her from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Meaning Of Confessional Poetry Confessional Poetry was the term given to the works of a group of American poets including Robert Lowell, Anne Sexton, John Berryman, Sylvia Plath, W. D. Snodgrass, and less often Theodore Roethke and Allen Ginsberg who were writing verse in the late nineteen fifties and sixties. This label, confessional, was so named misnamed by critic M. L. Rosenthal in a 1959 review of Robert Lowell s Life Studies, because of the personal voice and colloquial style the volume presented which was unlike the formality of Lowell s previous collections. For their subject matter these poets used parts of life not ordinarily presented in the public domain, such as frank revelations about marital infidelities, experiences with drug and alcohol addictions, mental breakdowns, and suicide attempts. Yet Rosenthal s term, confessional, radically simplified the work that it labeled. Not only did many famous figures such as Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, and John Berryman committed suicide in this school but also used their poems as a public forum for engaging in literal and philosophical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In contemplating her own feelings and reasons for suicide, Sylvia Plath weighs how to emerge, and learn, from her own death wish: How is it done? Talking and becoming aware of what is what and studying it is a help 102. In fact, Plath s most successful poems are spoken by personas who address their survival of attempted suicide. It is her speakers that wish to die and so defiantly fail at completing their own suicides that interest me most. The speaker of the poem Lady Lazarus infamously claims that Dying / is an art, and it is Plath s artistry of suicide which makes her poetry so successful.103 Her speakers are perfected in their inability to die thus, Plath s success of the failed ... Typically, onset of symptoms occurs about age 60, and about 90 percent of individuals die within 1 year. In the early stages of disease, people may have failing memory, behavioral changes, lack of coordination and visual disturbances. As the illness progresses, mental deterioration becomes pronounced and involuntary movements, blindness, weakness of extremities, and coma may occur. • 11. The Problem Of Teen Pregnancy Rates Introduction to Nature and Scope of Research In reviewing the literature of multiple studies and reports, I found that there is significantly more data and research in regards to the problem of teen pregnancy and the associated problems that are attributed to adolescent childbearing than there are specific to the effectiveness and efficacy of second chance homes. Second chance homes help teen mothers and their children comply with welfare reform requirements under the 1996 law (Housing and Urban Development, 2016). Second chance homes can also support teen families who are homeless or currently residing in foster care (Housing and Urban Development, 2016). In addition, research has shown that over 60% of teen parents have experienced sexual and physical abuse by household member requiring the need for alternative housing options (Housing and Urban Development, 2016). Assessment of Effectiveness of Current Policy and Limitations of existing Research I would find it hard to say that the second chance home policy is effective simply based on the currently decreasing teen pregnancy rates. Since PRWORA was enacted in 1996, there have been several major policy changes that could also be affecting the decrease in teen pregnancy. Two examples would be the U.S. Supreme Court ruling to extend the constitutional right to privacy to a minor s decision to obtain contraceptives and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 which gave all insured minors access to free ... Gandhi were civil rights activists who practiced a form of movement to gain equal rights amongst their nation. King and Gandhi were most important for their allegiance to nonviolence. King demonstrated his notion of nonviolence in his letter titled, Letter from a Birmingham Jail , and Gandhi in his writing, from Non Violent Resistance . The two are closely related and share common and distinct themes; both held considerably comparable belief toward nonviolence, laws, and religion. As both understood the evil of oppression, King and Gandhi conveys that violence could not be used as the measure to achieve equality in their movements. Nonviolence was utilized by both King and Gandhi to bring focus to their oppressors evil actions and show the society that justice can be earned without violence. King used nonviolence as a weapon to stop racism, segregation, and injustice toward African American in the United States. King did a non violent campaign in Birmingham, as King stated, four basic steps: (1) collection of the facts to determine whether injustices are alive; (2) negotiation; (3) self purification; and (4) direct action (p.234). King believes, the tension created by direct action is the answer to receiving results. Negotiation is an ultimately more humane approach but allows less results. • 15. Analysis Of Ace Ventura And School Of Rock In both, Ace Ventura and School of Rock, comedy is proposed from the outset; even the title and movie cover are comedic. Setting up pretend worlds creates distances for the audience allowing them to laugh at the comedies. In Ace Ventura, the main character, Ace Ventura, is a pet detective hired to find a missing dolphin who is kidnapped before the Superbowl. This concept suggest absurdity at both the ridiculousness of someone kidnapping a dolphin and a private pet detective being hired to find it. This concept also sets up a lot of jokes throughout the movie; Ace has a special bond with animals, an ability to communicate with animals, and in many ways acts like an animal, especially a dog. At no point is the concept of the movie taken seriously by the audience so the outrageousness of Ace s character and his actions are cartoonish. This is a very different tone from School of Rock, where the movie is set in a somewhat more realistic world that the audience is able to identify with. School of Rock creates comedy through a fish out of water scenario where the immature, rock and roll loving, Dewey impersonates his roommate, Ned, and becomes a substitute teacher for ten year olds. The scheming Dewey devises a plan to create a rock band out of his class and win a contest, setting up multiple comedic approaches. The role of Ace Ventura seems to be written especially for Jim Carrey as it takes advantage of all of his physical comedy gifts. Jim Carrey honed his comedic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A real seeker of truth must doubt everything once in their lifetime. Without doubt, we have no reason. Without reason, we cannot hold any truths to be correct. Descartes truly understood how the rudiments vested in us by an infinite power play a powerful role in the way we live today. 1. What is your initial point of view? My initial point of view is that in order to seek the truth, we must doubt. In doubting, we critically analyze the reason behind our thought process. What exactly makes a piece of wax that piece of wax? Is it even wax? We must doubt even the simplest of truths in order to reach a higher state of knowing. 2. How can you define your point of view more clearly? I can define my point of view more clearly by defining truth and doubt. Truth can be defined as an idea that holds certainty and be able to question and analyze. Doubt can be defined as uncertainty with a questionable premise. 3. What is an example of your point of view? An example of my point of view is in Descartes most noted wax example. We take into consideration a piece of wax, which has a color, shape, size, and will emit a sound. Once we burn the wax, everything changes. We don t question that it is the same wax, though. But why? How do we know that it is the same wax? This is a decision the inventor must take into account. There is also a need to have a design protection system. The fundamental idea being that design protection encourages novel design and prevents rapid growth of identical designs because producers are blocked from copying. Visual appeal is a key factor in influencing the decision of buyers.
