2. SO YOU’RE BLOCKED?
You might be irritating someone so they block you on
Twitter.
Maybe someone deems you a threat to their business.
And they tap “block” to get rid of you.
3. TL;DR VERSION
Allow several days for Twitter’s blocking capabilities
to become fully effective.
And know everything leaks on the internet.
Thoughts arising on #SocialMediaDay (30 June 2016) while talking to Trish about inherent leakages that happen inside networked connections.
Can you see what the person who blocked you is doing on Twitter?
Your presence is not totally vacant immediately after you click the block button in a social media zone.
I asked Trish to block my @topgold account. And when I visited her profile in-app or on the web, I couldn’t see Dayngr’s tweets.
I can see things on Twitter in Dabr that Twitter doesn’t often show me.
If you block someone on Twitter, you cannot see their Twitterstream on Dabr, but …
Dabr shows @Dayngr’s activities when searching for the user name @Dayngr but the continuity is not as smooth as the Twitter timeline.
You can see @Dayngr’s flows when searching Twitter but if you click on the hyperlink to @Dayngr’s profile, you’re blocked from seeing the same stuff the search for @Dayngr shows you.
If you can use intelligent search techniques via a browser, you can see a lot about a person who has blocked you on Twitter.
For a few days after being blocked on Twitter, I can use browser search strings to find the lists people maintain by simply using the syntax http://twitter.com/nameoftheperson/lists
And you can always see a person who has blocked you by logging in under another identity.
But know that everything on the internet can be screencapped and shared so even when you think you’re safe, you’re probably leaking personal data.
