2. Research / review articles can be retrieved from
• Google search / Google scholar
• Sciencedirect.com
• Scopus (Author search/Sources)
• Libgen.com (library of articles/books)
• Any related journal’s search bar
3. Hot spots of research articles
• Look at the last stanza of abstract giving the clear conclusions or solutions
found in this research study.
• Press Ctrl+F and type the words “to the best of our knowledge” or “for the
first time” or “first to invent” or “first to discover/uncover” to locate
actual finding in a minute.
• Read conclusion or future prospects to find of what is unanswered.
• Read the last few paragraphs of result and/ discussion section. Now the
paper is eligible to consume your time.
• Go through sectional snippets for new methods if designed in this article
through online view (only available in few publishers. example, Elsevier)
• If found worthy, then skim over subtitles of methods and select eligible
methods and results of required experiments to test the originality/
feasibility/ reproducibility of the content.
• You may now either repeat the same for your experiments or go for
modified procedure to get simplified and valid data than the current article.
4. 1. Try to look at the last stanza starting with the words “In this
review or This review article” in the abstract. If suitable then
read full abstract.
2. Press “Ctrl+F” and type “scientific gap” or “meager” or “deserves
investigations” or “to explore” or “scanty/scarce” kind of words to
directly understand what is to be explored in future research and
what is answered till date and recollected through this review
article so far.
3. Go through conclusion section and decide about the suitability of
the review information for your research or write-up purposes.
4. These procedures are applicable for both soft or hard copy
articles and may take five to ten minutes of your time.
