 Your body's way of responding to any kind of demand
 Can be caused by both good and bad experiences
 Your body reacts by releasing chemicals into the blood that
give you more energy and strength:
 Positive if your stress is caused by physical danger
 Negative if your stress is in response to something emotional and
there is no outlet for this extra energy and strength.

“Can be defined as interventions designed to reduce the impact
of stressors in the workplace, these can have an individual focus
aimed at increasing an individual’s ability to cope with stressors.
The goal of stress management is to help you to manage the
stress of everyday life, many different methods may be employed
such as biofeedback, meditation and massage.”

Identify the sources of stress in your
life
Look closely at your habits, attitude, and excuses:
 Do you explain away stress as temporary (“I just have a million
things going on right now”)?
 Do you define stress as a part of your work or home life
(“Things are always crazy around here”) or as a part of your
personality (“I have a lot of nervous energy, that’s all”)?
 Do you blame your stress on other people or outside events?
