The document discusses strategies for healthy eating. It recommends eating enough calories from a variety of foods including fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes while keeping portions moderate. It also recommends limiting sugary foods, salt and refined grains, staying hydrated, and being physically active. The healthiest foods to eat include fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains, eggs, dairy, seafood, poultry and lean meats. A healthy diet should be guided by the healthy diet pyramid. Eating smart involves chewing food slowly, avoiding eating while distracted, listening to hunger/fullness cues, and eating small frequent meals.
This presentation discusses steps for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It recommends getting at least an hour of physical activity per day through activities like walking, doing chores, using stairs, and exercise. It also suggests choosing water as a primary drink, eating plenty of vegetables and fruits, and eating whole grains, fish, and other healthy foods while limiting unhealthy fats, sugar, and salt. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help reduce stress and promote overall well-being.
The document discusses the eatwell plate and the importance of eating a balanced variety of foods from its five main food groups: fruit and vegetables; bread, rice, potatoes, pasta; milk and dairy foods; meat, fish, eggs, beans; and foods high in fat and/or sugar. It recommends eating at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables daily, plenty of breads and starches, 2-3 dairy items, foods from the meat group, and only small amounts of high fat and sugar foods. A balanced diet with moderation is key to health.
Our mind and body are closely connected. Negative thoughts and emotions can manifest physically in our bodies over time through chemical reactions in the brain and nervous system. Constant stress, negative self-talk, and feelings like anger or depression send signals throughout the body that can eventually lead to issues like insomnia, anxiety, low immune function, and physical ailments in areas corresponding to our thoughts and feelings. Maintaining a healthy mind through reducing stress, controlling negative thinking, and cultivating positive emotions is important for overall health and well-being.

Gravity is a force that pulls everything down to the ground and keeps objects on Earth, though it cannot be seen. Weight measures the strength of gravity's pull on an object, with more massive objects experiencing a stronger pull. Friction is the force that occurs when two objects rub together, causing them to slow down, and can be increased or decreased depending on the materials, with oil reducing friction and rubber or sandpaper increasing it.

Consuming too many sugary foods with low nutritional quality can negatively impact an athlete's performance in several ways. It can decrease immune function by leaving less room for more nutritious foods. It can also lead to unwanted weight gain from excess calories being stored as fat. Additionally, high sugar foods provide only a short-term boost to mental focus as blood sugar levels spike and crash. The document provides alternatives to sugary snacks that are higher in nutrients as well as times when sugary foods may be acceptable to provide quick energy, such as before a workout or between competitions.

This presentation defines wellness and outlines its dimensions. It discusses the epidemiological transition from infectious to chronic diseases as the leading causes of death. Key points include:
- Wellness involves optimal physical, mental, and social well-being, not just the absence of disease.
- Dimensions of wellness include physical, emotional, spiritual, occupational, social, intellectual, and environmental.
- Developing countries now face a rising burden of chronic diseases due to lifestyle changes.
- Obesity is a major risk factor for diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers. BMI is used to measure healthy weight ranges but has limitations.
The document discusses food shopping in Britain. It explains that traditionally people would shop at specialty shops like the baker, butcher, or greengrocer. However, supermarkets using self-service have become more popular. Sainsbury's and Tesco are two major supermarket chains, with Sainsbury's catering to wealthier customers and Tesco having lower prices. Most shops are open from 9am to 6pm, and the British are known for using "please" and "thank you" frequently in shops.

The Great Fire of London started in 1666 in a bakery owned by Thomas Faynor in Pudding Lane. The fire spread quickly through the densely packed wooden buildings and thatched roofs, fueled by strong winds. There were no organized fire services, so attempts to douse the flames with buckets of water failed to stop the fire's spread over four days, destroying much of the city. After the fire, the rebuilt city used bricks instead of wood for construction and a fire service was established to prevent future disasters.

Your smile is beautiful.

GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS AND GASTRITIS
Osvaldo Bernardo Muchanga
Gastrointestinal Infections
GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS result from the ingestion of pathogens that cause infections at the level of this tract, generally being transmitted by food, water and hands contaminated by microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio cholerae, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus, Rotavirus among others that are generally contained in feces, thus configuring a FECAL-ORAL type of transmission.
Among the factors that lead to the occurrence of gastrointestinal infections are the hygienic and sanitary deficiencies that characterize our markets and other places where raw or cooked food is sold, poor environmental sanitation in communities, deficiencies in water treatment (or in the process of its plumbing), risky hygienic-sanitary habits (not washing hands after major and/or minor needs), among others.
These are generally consequences (signs and symptoms) resulting from gastrointestinal infections: diarrhea, vomiting, fever and malaise, among others.
The treatment consists of replacing lost liquids and electrolytes (drinking drinking water and other recommended liquids, including consumption of juicy fruits such as papayas, apples, pears, among others that contain water in their composition).
To prevent this, it is necessary to promote health education, improve the hygienic-sanitary conditions of markets and communities in general as a way of promoting, preserving and prolonging PUBLIC HEALTH.
Gastritis and Gastric Health
Gastric Health is one of the most relevant concerns in human health, with gastrointestinal infections being among the main illnesses that affect humans.
Among gastric problems, we have GASTRITIS AND GASTRIC ULCERS as the main public health problems. Gastritis and gastric ulcers normally result from inflammation and corrosion of the walls of the stomach (gastric mucosa) and are generally associated (caused) by the bacterium Helicobacter pylor, which, according to the literature, this bacterium settles on these walls (of the stomach) and starts to release urease that ends up altering the normal pH of the stomach (acid), which leads to inflammation and corrosion of the mucous membranes and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.
In addition to bacterial infections, gastritis and gastric ulcers are associated with several factors, with emphasis on prolonged fasting, chemical substances including drugs, alcohol, foods with strong seasonings including chilli, which ends up causing inflammation of the stomach walls and/or corrosion. of the same, resulting in the appearance of wounds and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.
Among patients with gastritis and/or ulcers, one of the dilemmas is associated with the foods to consume in order to minimize the sensation of pain and discomfort.
What is it that controls your body? What connects your mind to your body? Your brain is considered your control centre passing information down your spine through your nervous system to control every cell, organ and muscle in your body.
