2. There are different ways to give instructions in
English:
Imperative in English: It is formed simply with the infinitive of the
verb without "to". Each verb has a unique form of imperative, which
is used for both the second person singular and the second person
plural. The denial of the form imperative by putting "do not" or “don’t”
before the verb in infinitive.
Example:
Turn off the lights when you leave. / Apague las luces al retirarse.

3. Present tense:
Another way of giving instructions is to describe the actions in the present tense.
Verbs can be used in the second person of the singular (you / you) or the first of the
plural (we / us). This last option is usually observed for example in cooking
programs.
Examples:
