This document outlines a plan for an IT department to become an internal IAAS provider like Amazon Web Services. The plan involves four phases: 1) Managing all infrastructure through scripting; 2) Encapsulating scripts as Jenkins jobs to create a centralized API; 3) Implementing cost modeling and showback reports; 4) Building a self-service provisioning portal using OpenCart integrated with Jenkins for fulfillment. The goal is to provide internal infrastructure as a standardized service catalog with predictable costs.
