Sophie Carter is an 18-year-old criminology student in the present day who is researching Eve's unsolved case. She finds similarities between herself and Eve that make her paranoid. Sophie is also in possession of Eve's necklace.

1) The narrative of Scream follows Todorov's three-part structure of equilibrium, disruption, and resolution. The opening scene establishes equilibrium before the phone call acts as disruption, disturbing Casey's night. Attempts are made to catch the killer and restore order.
2) Propp's character types are also present in Scream, with Stu and Billy as the false heroes revealed as the killers. The victim is Casey and the policeman investigates as the hero.
3) Levi Strauss' concept of binary oppositions is shown through contrasts like Casey's changing demeanor from relaxed to panicked on the phone call. The film shifts from control to panic and light to dark scenes.
Representation

While both are set in family homes, the settings enhance the unique horrors presented in each film.
Horror Movie Analysis
Carrie White is a 16-year-old outcast who is bullied by her peers and abused by her religious fanatic mother. She possesses telekinetic powers which she is unaware of. Abyzou is a demon that possesses young Em and uses her body to enter the physical world, putting her in danger. Dalton, a vulnerable young boy, has his mind trapped in "The Further" dimension, leaving his body comatose and able to be possessed. His mother Renai is a domestic housewife unaware of the supernatural events, while his father Josh takes a strong, courageous role in confronting the demon possessing their son.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

How does your media product represent particular social groups?
- 1. Amelia as Hazel The main character in our film is Hazel played by Amelia. She stumble upon a necklace, and being a teenager she is tempted to put it on, which she does. From this she becomes possessed and ends up killing her brother. The character who I thought was similar to Amelia was Katie from Paranormal Activity. Even though she doesn’t stumble upon any item, she becomes possessed. She also ends up killing a loved one which in this film is her partner.
- 2. The working class from both films aren’t clear as we only see their house that they live in, from the setting of both films we guess that their working classes are similar. This tells us that the working class isn’t important in these films. Neither race or age is an issue either, they are both White but their age differs, Katie seems older than Amelia. Lastly, their gender is both female, this goes against the conventions of a thriller as normally a male character would have the lead role and end up killing, where as in these 2 films the males are represented as weaker.
- 3. Ollie as Matt The brother obviously cared about his sister Amelia as he is always asking if she needs anything. Even though she is possessed he carries on as if everything is normal despite her odd behaviour. The character who I thought was similar to Ollie was Micah from Paranormal Activity. He is also close to his partner who is possessed in the end and is in a very calm yet eager state while mysterious things occur in his own home.
- 4. Again we can only tell that their working class is similar from where they live. This tells us this is also not an important factor of the male character in each film. Their race are the same (White) and again the age differs where as Micah as much older than Ollie. They are also both males .
