The document discusses how people change through knowing God. It cites passages from the Bible that say we should not boast in our own abilities but in knowing God, who practices love, justice and righteousness. Another passage says God grants us everything for life and godliness through Jesus, so that we can become like God by escaping sin. We are called to grow in virtues like faith, knowledge, self-control and love. If we have these qualities and they increase, it keeps us from being unfruitful in knowing Jesus. The document suggests people leave trails of broken relationships, impersonal faith, struggles with material things and lack of growth, but life should involve constant work, growth, confession and repentance.

QUO VADIS is a non-profit devoted to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, usually in the form of short, powerful sermons and talks. Our ministry was established in 2008 under a different name but changed its name in 2018 to Quo Vadis, translated “where are you going?“ and today covers all topics —from Bible explorations and teachings, health and disease topics, but especially focusing on the mightiest fortress of our life, Jesus Christ, our Lord – in more than one media browser. In fact – everything we do is driven by this goal. Meanwhile, the independently run QVTV programs help share desirable topics in communities around the world.
Conviction vs. Complacency (Acts 17:1-15)Josh Weidmann
In this message, we look at the Macedonia journey that Paul and Silas took in the first century, as recorded in Acts 17. From their life we can see the importance of conviction when facing opposition. The Christian life is not a life of complacency or laziness but one of transformation and resolve.

Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

How the Cross of Jesus Christ deals with the accusations of the Devil and sets us right with God. Why we do not have to feel inadequate because God makes us adequate.

When we think that we are spiritually complete, this is also the most dangerous time for us. Because we think that we have Christ in us, and the world is peaceful, so we no longer try our best to pursue it, and we don’t restrain our minds. And, I don’t check my confidence every day, and I don’t accept any blame or discipline. Even I don’t want to do God’s work, because I feel that we are already complete. Sadly, we don’t know that God has given up on us at this time. Here is a part of the checklist. , I hope we will never be in this situation.
Introduction to sync discipleship 7 22_18Mark Pomeroy
We must develop a culture of Christ followers that becomes a natural part of life when people go to the grocery store, to work, or meet with friends.
Motivation is what gets you started. Skills are your ability to perform godly tasks. Knowledge and skills are key enablers to achieve godly goals.
We acquire skillsets like disciple-making through training, experience or natural abilities. Knowledge is a prerequisite to skills. Knowledge enables you to become a skilled disciple maker, and you can’t do it without knowledge. The more knowledge about disciple-making and the more skilled in executing it, the greater the likelihood of godly success. Knowledge and skills are mostly associated with learning developed through teaching or experience.
Positive attitudes (multiplier of knowledge and skills for godly goals) are results of our beliefs and values to form habits of thought, which impacts how we see ourselves and shapes significantly our godly behaviors. Habit is what keeps you going. Attitudes and habits are cultivated through mentoring.
Only by curing the family can we lead the church? Why is there a division, h...franktsao4
Chinese people often say that it is necessary to cultivate one’s body and one’s family to govern the country , then, conquer the world. But is that so in the kingdom of God? If so, then what should be different? Why does God say that you are a friend of the world and that you are an enemy of me? So a concept that seems easy to understand is a trap that is easy to fall into. So when we apply it to the church, how should we do it, then what is the standard, whether we will be deceived by the surface illusion, and did not choose disciples who fit God’s will to manage the church
Peter make clear that we are to live a godly life. The way we live demonstrates who and what we worship. We are to make every effort to grow and develop a godly lifestyle.
Lies about sex, your teens hear all the timeDenverCoC
Sex and purity is not talked about enough in the home. Parents are too embarrassed as well as the teen to even broach the subject. How can we talk about such a “taboo” subject without causing undo embarrassment? This devotional will focus on the need to keep the dialogue open about sex and purity in the family.
As we walk the long and dusty road of life,
wearied it may be, and even faint, yet let us
well watch whether we may not find some
treasures along the way, gems of divine bless-
ing for our cheer, stones of rough trouble that
may be smoothed and polished into glistening
gems ; gems of a forlorn humanity that may
be worked into brilliants for the crown of
Christ, gems of sweet and holy truths.
Few things are as fundamental to the abundant life Jesus came to give us than our continual commitment to being grateful in all circumstances. 1 Thessalonians 1:18 and Eph. 5:20 make it abundantly clear that God requires us to always gives thanks to Him no matter what happens because He has promised to make all things work together for good for us ( Rom. 8:28)!
Life outside of gratitude is a lie. Life outside of gratitude is poison to our soul. God will help us, but we must choose to give Him thanks as Job did in his great losses. We must allow God to be somewhat mysterious and trust Him no matter what evil befalls us. That is real faith.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

What Should be the Christian View of Anime?Joe Muraguri
We will learn what Anime is and see what a Christian should consider before watching anime movies? We will also learn a little bit of Shintoism religion and hentai (the craze of internet pornography today).
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. “It’s not all about me.” It’s all about the One
who is remaking us – each one and all
together – into His image, and thus into a
community that practices lovingkindness,
justice, and righteousness in the earth. “In
these things I delight.”
--David Powlison
3. Thus says the Lord: "Let not the wise man
boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man
boast in his might, let not the rich man boast
in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in
this, that he understands and knows me, that
I am the LORD who practices steadfast love,
justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in
these things I delight, declares the Lord.“
Jeremiah 9:23-24 (ESV)
4. How Do People Change?
His divine power has granted to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness, through the
knowledge of him who called us to his own
glory and excellence, by which he has granted
to us his precious and very great promises, so
that through them you may become partakers
of the divine nature, having escaped from the
corruption that is in the world because of
sinful desire.
5. How Do People Change?
For this very reason, make every effort to
supplement your faith with virtue, and
virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with
self-control, and self-control with
steadfastness, and steadfastness with
godliness, and godliness with brotherly
affection, and brotherly affection with love.
6. How Do People Change?
For if these qualities are yours and are
increasing, they keep you from being
ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of
our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these
qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind,
having forgotten that he was cleansed from
his former sins.
2 Peter 1:3-9 (ESV)
7. Our lives should reflect:
• Peaceful, loving relationships,
• A sweet, natural, day-to-day worship
of the Lord,
• A wholesome and balanced
relationship to material things,
• And ongoing spiritual growth.
8. Instead, many leave a trail of:
• Broken relationships,
• A knowledgeable but impersonal walk
with God,
• A struggle with material things,
• And a definite lack of personal growth.
9. 3 kinds of blindness:
• IDENTITY
• PROVISION
• PROCESS
10. Life NOW should be marked by:
• CONSTANT work,
• CONSTANT growth,
• CONSTANT confession,
• CONSTANT repentance
